- the multi-compartment pouches of the invention can be made by placing a first piece of film in a mould, drawing the film by vacuum means to form a pocket, pinpricking the film, dosing and tamping the powder composition, placing a second piece of film over the first pocket to form a new pocket, filling the new pocket with the liquid composition, placing a piece of film over this liquid filled pocket and sealing the three films together to form the dual compartment pouch.
- the limescale removing composition is prepared by forming a liquid premix, preferably comprising non-ionic surfactant and spraying this premix onto a powder mixture comprising the limescale remover acid, thereby improving the processability of the composition.

- the pouch is manufactured by making an open pocket with a PVA film, filling it with the solid composition, placing a PVA film over the open pocket and sealing the two films to create a new open pocket, the new pocket is filled with the liquid composition, a piece of PVA is placed over it and the new pocket is sealed giving rise to a dual compartment pouch.
- composition C is prepared by dissolving dye in water and forming a premix with the surfactants and glycerol.
- the dissolved dye and the premix are mixed in a high shear mixer to produce the final liquid composition.
- the first liquid premix comprises the surfactants and the dye and the second premix the perfume and BHT.
- the solid premix comprises the citric acid and the silica gel.
- the two liquid premixes are sprayed onto the powder premix to produce the final powder composition.
- Composition C is introduced into a two superposed compartment PVA rectangular base pouch.
- the dual compartment pouch is made from a Monosol M8630 film as supplied by Chris-Craft Industrial Products.
- the solid composition (about 16 g) and the liquid composition (about 2.1 g) are placed in the two different compartments of the pouch.
- the pouch is manufactured by making an open pocket with a PVA film, filling it with the solid composition, placing a PVA film over the open pocket and sealing the two films to create a new open pocket, the new pocket is filled with the liquid composition, a piece of PVA is placed over it and the new pocket is sealed giving rise to a dual compartment pouch.
- example 1 The process of example 1 is repeated but the acid is ground using a REVEL coffee blender, for about 30 seconds, in order to round the edges of the particles.
- example 1 The process of example 1 is repeated but the solid composition is coated by spraying-on melted paraffin wax over the solid composition, prior to the introduction into the preformed pocket.
- the pouch of example 1 is introduced into the 25 ml dispenser compartment of a Bosch Siemens 6032 dishwashing machine, the dispenser is closed and the machine is operated in the absence of a dishwashing load in its normal 55°C program. After the program has finished, the machine interior is found clean, shining, free of limescale and having a very pleasant smell.

Claims (16)
- Maschinenreinigungsprodukt in der Form eines wasserlöslichen Mehrkammerbeutels, umfassend eine Kalkablagerungen entfernende Zusammensetzung und ein wasserlösliches Umhüllungsmaterial, wobei der Beutel eine erste Kammer, die eine Zusammensetzung in fester Form enthält, und eine zweite Kammer, die eine Zusammensetzung in flüssiger Form enthält, umfasst, wobei das Gesamtgewicht des Beutels 10 bis 30 Gramm beträgt und das Produkt, wenn es in 5 1 destilliertem Wasser aufgelöst wird, bei 20 °C einen pH von 1,0 bis 4 hat.
- Maschinenreinigungsprodukt nach Anspruch 1 mit einem pH von 1,8 bis 2,6 bei 20 °C, wenn es in 51 destilliertem Wasser gelöst ist.
- Maschinenreinigungsprodukt nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, wobei die Kalkablagerungen entfernende Zusammensetzung ein oder mehrere Kalkablagerungen entfernende Säuren umfasst.
- Maschinenreinigungsprodukt nach Anspruch 3, wobei die Kalkablagerungen entfernende Zusammensetzung Citronensäure als Kalkablagerungen entfernende Säure umfasst.
- Maschinenreinigungsprodukt nach Anspruch 3, umfassend eine erste Säure mit einem pKa1 von mindestens 3 und eine zweite Säure mit einem pKa1 von nicht mehr als 2, und wobei die erste und die zweite Säure in einem Gewichtsverhältnis von 1:10 bis 10:1, vorzugsweise von 1:1 bis 5:1 stehen.
- Maschinenreinigungsprodukt nach Anspruch 5, wobei die erste und die zweite Säure in fester Form und in derselben Kammer des Beutels enthalten sind.
- Maschinenreinigungsprodukt nach einem der vorstehenden Ansprüche, wobei mindestens eine der Kammern des Beutels eine flüssige Tensidzusammensetzung umfasst.
- Maschinenreinigungsprodukt nach Anspruch 7, wobei die flüssige Zusammensetzung ein nichtionisches Tensid umfasst.
- Maschinenreinigungsprodukt nach Anspruch 7 oder 8, wobei die flüssige Zusammensetzung einen Duftstoff umfasst.
- Maschinenreinigungsprodukt nach einem der vorstehenden Ansprüche, umfassend:a) zu 20 Gew.-% bis 99,5 Gew.-% des Produkts eine Kalkablagerungen entfernende Säure oder eine Mischung davon;b) zu 0,1 Gew.-% bis 20 Gew.-% des Produkts nichtionisches Tensid.
- Maschinenreinigungsprodukt nach einem der vorstehenden Ansprüche, wobei der Beutel ein Mehrkammerbeutel ist, vorzugsweise ein Zweikammerbeutel mit einer ersten Kammer, die eine Zusammensetzung in fester Form enthält, und einer zweiten Kammer, die eine Zusammensetzung in flüssiger Form enthält, wobei die Feststoff:Flüssigkeit-Zusammensetzung ein Gewichtsverhältnis von 1:50 bis 50:1, vorzugsweise von 2:1 bis 3D:1 aufweist.
- Maschinenreinigungsprodukt nach einem der vorstehenden Ansprüche, wobei der Beutel eine Feuchtigkeitsübertragungs-Sperrschicht zum Verhindern oder Reduzieren der Feuchtigkeitsaufnahme durch die Kalkablagerungen entfernende Zusammensetzung umfasst.
- Maschinenreinigungsprodukt nach einem der Ansprüche 3 bis 12, wobei die Kalkablagerungen entfernende Säure in Form von Teilchen mit abgerundeten Rändern vorliegt.
- Verfahren zum Herstellen des Maschinenreinigungsprodukts nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 13, das die folgenden Schritte umfasst:a) Herstellen offener Tasche(n) aus einer wasserlöslichen Folie;b) Füllen und Schließen der Tasche(n); undc) Beschichten des gebildeten Beutels mit einer Feuchtigkeitsübertragungs-Sperrschicht.
- Verfahren nach Anspruch 14, das den Schritt des Abrundens der Ränder der in Teilchenform vorliegenden Kalkablagerungen entfernenden Säure vor dem Füllen der entsprechenden Tasche umfasst.
- Verfahren zur Reinigung des Inneren eines Geschirrspülers, das die folgenden Schritte umfasst:a) Platzieren eines Beutels nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 13 im Spender eines Geschirrspülers; undb) Laufenlassen des Geschirrspülers ohne eine Geschirrspülladung.
