Abstract

Il s'agit d'un procédé de commande d'un écran de visualisation matriciel. On applique à une ligne une tension de sélection de ligne pendant un temps de sélection de ligne et simultanément à une colonne une tension correspondant à un niveau de gris à afficher qui est choisi parmi 2q niveaux et numériquement codé suivant une loi non linéaire conforme à la perception de l'oeil. Les tensions à appliquer aux colonnes sont choisies dans une suite croissante de (2n +1) tensions réparties en couples qui permettent d'afficher une plage de niveaux de gris. Le temps de sélection de ligne est subdivisé en un ou plusieurs groupes égaux de 2(q-n) intervalles de temps avec (q-n) entier >1, la répartition de ces 2(q-n) intervalles de temps dans un groupe se faisant, pour un couple de tensions, suivant une loi non linéaire présentant une fonction de transfert proche de l'inverse de celle ayant préalablement servi à coder les niveaux de gris pour la plage de niveau de gris correspondante, la tension appliquée à une colonne, pour un couple de tensions et un groupe d'intervalles de temps, soit prenant l'une des valeurs du couple de tensions pendant toute la durée du groupe, soit commutant au moins une fois, au cours de la durée du groupe, en fin d'un intervalle de temps, d'une valeur à l'autre du couple de tensions.
