Claims (9)
- Control device with a disconnectable crown for a watch, comprising:- a support part (10) intended to be fixed to the case (3) of the watch or consisting of the watch case (3) itself, this support part (10) comprising an opening,- a drive shaft (11) extending in the opening and intended to control at least one function of the watch and comprising first coupling means (15),- a crown (12) comprising a crown head (13) and a tube (14) fixedly attached to the crown head (13), the tube (14) being mounted so as to be movable in rotation and translation between the wall (10') of the opening and the drive shaft (11) and comprising second coupling means (16), characterised in that- an indexing element (18) is placed in the opening and is fixedly attached to the support part (10) or to the tube (14) and is able to cooperate with first and second formations (19, 20) provided in the outer face of the tube (14) or in the wall (10') of the opening to define a first axial position of the crown (12) in which the first and second coupling means (15, 16) are engaged allowing the drive shaft (11) to be rotationally driven as the crown (12) is rotated, and a second axial position of the crown (12) in which the tube (14) is decoupled from the drive shaft (11);- movement of the crown (12) from its first axial position to its second axial position being effected by only axial displacement of said crown.
- Control device as claimed in claim 1, characterised in that the support part (10) is a tube intended to be fixed to the watch case (3).
- Control device as claimed in claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the indexing element (18) is fixedly attached to the support part (10) and the first and second formations (19, 20) are located on the outer face of the movable tube (14).
- Control device as claimed in any one of claims 1 to 3, characterised in that the indexing element (18) is a gasket.
- Control device as claimed in any one of claims 1 to 3, characterised in that the indexing element (18) is an O-gasket and the first and second formations (19, 20) are annular grooves.
- Control device as claimed in claim 5, characterised in that the O-gasket (18) is held in an annular groove (17) formed in the wall (10') of the opening.
- Control device as claimed in any one of claims 1 to 6, characterised in that the first and second coupling means are outer teeth (15) and inner teeth (16) respectively.
- Control device as claimed in any one of claims 1 to 7, characterised in that it comprises a stop screw (22) screwed into the end of the drive shaft (11) furthest away from the watch case (3) to limit the axial displacement of the crown (12) in the direction tending to increase the distance of the crown (12) from the watch case (3).
- Watch fitted with a control device as claimed in any one of claims 1 to 8.
