Definitions

  • the invention relates to a nozzle device of an agricultural field sprayer.
  • Agricultural spraying machines for applying liquid to a field are known in the art.
  • Such spraying machines can be designed as drawn syringes, as mounted spraying devices or as self-propelled spraying devices and have a sprayer boom equipped with nozzle devices.
  • the nozzle devices communicate with a spray line and may include one or more nozzles for dispensing the liquid.
  • the FR 2 655 571 A discloses a nozzle device connected to a spray line and having a plurality of nozzles equipped with a hand-rotating quick-change device for nozzles. Further, the nozzle device is provided with a biased diaphragm valve which opens a line to the nozzle as soon as a corresponding opening pressure in the nozzle device is achieved. The problem is that the valve opens only in response to the injection pressure and the nozzle device is thus actuated only in response to the prevailing injection pressure in the spray line.
  • the EP 932 448 B1 discloses a nozzle device having an inlet channel connected to a spray boom and an outlet channel connected to a nozzle. Furthermore, the nozzle device is provided with an electromagnetically switchable valve which connects the channels during an injection process. The problem is that the valve must be supplied during the entire injection process with an electrical switching current to dwell in the connection position.
