  • the present invention relates to closures for containers, and more particularly to tamper-evident closures for containers.
  • the tamper-evident band does not drop away from the closure body but remains by means of interference between the tamper-evidence band and the container neck held on the neck in a similar position to the tamper band on an un-op ⁇ ned package or in the case of malicious tampering a container may be opened and contaminants introduced and the closure replaced and the tamper-evidence band pushed back into close proximity to the closure to give the appearance of an unopened package.   • the annular receptacle may be of a smaller diameter and located closer to the mould portion 220. On larger diameter closures the width of the mould portion 210 can be increased, thus facilitating creation of receptacle walls of greater length than that shown.
  • the various embodiments of the tamper-evident closure according to the present invention may be adapted or combined with one or more of the openings to dispense the contents of a container, or the threads and tamper-evident bead on the outside skirt so that a plug seal type over cap can be affixed to the basic closure in order to seal the container initially and provide clearly visible evidence that the over cap has been opened. Additionally this provides means to reseal the container.

Abstract

Cette invention se rapporte à des fermetures pour récipients et plus particulièrement à des fermetures inviolables pour récipients. Dans l'un de ses aspects, cette invention concerne un récipient et une fermeture destinée à être associée à ce récipient et comprenant : une paroi supérieure (102), une jupe (104) qui est formée solidaire avec cette paroi supérieure et s'étend vers le bas depuis cette paroi supérieure et qui est conçue pour venir en prise avec la partie col du récipient, de façon à assujettir la fermeture sur le récipient ; une bande inviolable (110) reliée cassable à la jupe ; et une partie col (10) du récipient comportant plusieurs saillies espacées (18) s'étendant vers l'extérieur depuis la partie col et conçues pour venir en prise avec des crénelures (122) situées sur la bande inviolable, de façon à faciliter la rupture de la bande (110), qui se sépare ainsi de la jupe de la fermeture.
