Definitions
- This report refers to a process and equipment for the production of filament yarns dyed with indigo colorant in open machines and, more specifically, to a process and equipment for dyeing yarns with indigo colorant, where the latest are grouped, when unbleached, in rolls of warping machines for subsequent dyeing in dyeing machines of the type "Loop Dye” or "Master Multicaixas”; where after being dyed these yarns are then collected individually and continuously in cones of the type used in the weaving and knitting industries.
- looms of the knitting industry conventionally available are supplied by various yarns winded individually, i.e.
- each yarn is winded in a cone, but it is de-winded simultaneously with the other yarns in the 100m, through simultaneous activation.
- These cones are generally submitted to dyeing through immersion after having received the unbleached knitting mesh yarns, which are able to absorb the colorant homogeneously, even if winded, from its core (interior of the yarn) to its outer layer, allowing the same characteristics of coloring and fixation of the dyeing along the whole length of the yarn winded.
- indigo yarns require that each yarn shall be immersed individually, then passing by various dying tanks, or various times in the same tank, since the main peculiarity of the dying process of this yarn resides in the fact that its dying is superficial, maintaining the core of each yarn free from dyeing. These yarns are generally rolled in loom rolls when leaving the dying section, which impedes their subsequent unrolling yarn by yarn. Despite this fact, the textile market of the knitting industry has been increasingly interested in working with yarns disposed in cones, as well as with indigo yarns.
- the winding in cones of a sole unbleached indigo yarn for subsequent dyeing through immersion does not ensure the aspect of loosing the color of the yarn since the total immersion of the cone with the yarn in the indigo colorant results a product with a level of homogeneity in its totality and in the fixation of its dyeing, not allowing the nuance of tone, a characteristic peculiar of indigo yarn. Therefore, it is not possible to obtain from this type of dyeing a contrast of the white of the core with the color of the surface of the indigo yarn.
- Another objective of this invention is to provide a process and equipment for the production of small amount of yarns dyed with indigo colorant, without size, in open/continuous machines that allows the obtainment of a sole yarn without joints in each cone, thus increasing significantly the quality of the final product worked with this cone.
- Another objective of this invention is to provide a process and equipment for the production of small amount of yarns dyed with indigo colorant, without size, in open/continuous machines that allows the homogeneity of the yarn winded, since there is not the frequent alteration of the lots verified in the conventional system of formation of the indigo yarn cone.
- Another objective of this invention is to provide a process and equipment for the production of small amount of yarns dyed with indigo colorant, without size, in open/continuous machines without high cost for the execution of the individual winding of the indigo yarns colored in cones.
- the main objective of this invention is to provide a process and equipment for the production of small amount of yarns dyed with indigo colorant, without size, in open/continuous machines that, through alteration to the output of the dyeing machine of open type allows the dyeing of large amounts of yarn (3000 to 6000 yarns), normally obtained from this process, but also allowing the dyeing of small numbers of up to 200 yarns.
- This invention further foresees the provision of an equipment for the production of small amount of yarns dyed with indigo colorant, without size, in open/continuous machines, comprising a warp roll in which rolls are grouped composing the set of rolls for dyeing, where the dyeing process type Loop Dye or Master Multicaixas occurs to the output of the latest.
- the output of the dyeing machine contains a yarn separator that leads each yarn through coilers to the respective conditioning cans, disposed removably to receive the dyed yarns in pre-determined amounts; the yarns are disposed in loose and continuous layers inside the cans, considering that these cans will be individually placed in a creel of a ring spinning frame after having their volume fully loaded, where the yarns of loose layers will pass by yarn separator fallers; by a tensioning balancer and then submitted to a PLC control, with switch, to reach a winding machine, where each yarn is driven to a separated cone in which it is winded to be used in the knitting industry.
- Figure 1 represents a schematic side view of the equipment for production of small amount of yarns dyed with indigo colorant, without size, in open/continuous machines; and
- Figure 2 represents a schematic side view of the part of the equipment that promotes the winding in cones of the yarns dyed with indigo colorant and produced in open/continuous machines.
- the process and equipment for the production of small amount of yarns dyed with indigo colorant, without size, in open/continuous machines object of this invention comprises basically the adaptation of coilers 10 in the output of a conventional open machine 20, so that the dyed yarns 1 are separated in quantities pre- determined by a separating equipment 21, being guided to said coilers 10, that will deposit them in loose layers inside cans 2, which after having their volume fully loaded will be directed to the winding yarn by yarn in cones 3 of the type used in weaving and knitting industries.
- the warp roll is a cylindrical piece with lateral contention flanges that store parts of the total of the lot, the junction of various rolls occurring in its grouping during the dyeing of the unbleached yarn.
- the warp module generates a roll with the generic shape of a spool, considering that unbleached yarns are winded partially, and when grouped sum the exact number of rolls to be dyed in machines 20.
- the cans 2 for the disposal of the loose and continuous yarn 1 are provided with wheels to facilitate the transportation and positioning below the coiler 10 that will receive the dyed yarn 1.
- the process for the production of continuous yarns 1 dyed with indigo colorant in open machines 20 is composed of a process for the transportation of yarn via "Loop Dye” or “Master Multicaixas” to cones 3, which further comprises the stages: (a) simultaneously warp a plurality of yarns 1 that compose the unbleached "warped” roll; (b) group rolls to load the dyeing machine "Loop
- the indigo yarns 1 already dyed are: (d) disposed in cans 2 in quantities pre-determined; (e) each can loaded 2 is individually submitted to a motor unit of a traction machine 30 that promotes the unloading of this grouping of yarns 1; (1) with the simultaneous separation and tensioning of indigo yarn 1 towards a correspondent empty cone 3 adapted to a conventional conic machine 40, on its turn promoting the continuous and uninterrupted winding of each one of the dyed indigo yarns 1 in the respective cone 3.
- the cans 2 are disposed side by side.
- the quantity of yarns 1 winded depends on the title (diameter) of yarn 1, which may vary to up to 200 yarns if used ideally.
- the rotation movement of can 2 is granted by any motorized device able to allow activation.
- each can 2 is placed on a creel, the yarns 1 are guided to a conventional rolling machine 40 through the set of fallers 31, 32, 33 of a traction unit 30.
- the creel for the support of the faller 32 is assembled on a rocker 34, fundamentally disposed to control the tension in yarn 1 during the rolling and, consequently, to the final quality of the fabric produced in the knitting industry.
- the cones 3 of indigo yarn 1 thus produced will supply the circular knitting machines, not illustrated, which will produce a great deal of knitted fabric.
- the indigo yarn 1 may be twisted in conventional twisting machines, also not illustrated, and supply straight knitting machines, producing other variety of articles.
- the yarns 1 are individually guided through the fallers 31, 32, 33 of a traction machine 30 and a yarn guider, until they reach the individual rolling modules in empty cones 3 in the conventional rolling machine 40.
- this yarn 1 will have more angular speed at the extent in which the cone 3 is emptied.
- a pulse generator 35 installed on the cans 2 during the unrolling detects the yarn 1 existent in the cans 2 and reports it to the PLC, which adjusts the position in the rocker 34, maintaining a constant unrolling tension.
- the mobile regulation end of the rocker 34 assumes a higher position, exercising lower pressure on the yarn 1.
- the free end of the rocker 34 assumes a lower position, maintaining constant pressure on the yarn 1.
- the yarns 1 being unrolled pass by a first support of the traction machine 30, provided with a faller 31 in its upper part, for the separation and guidance of these yarns 1. After that, the yarns 1 reach a second faller 32, higher than the first, and then pass on the arms of the rocker 34.
- a third faller 33 higher than the first ones and provided with yarn guiders type "pig-tail" completes the system for driving the yarns until the entry of the conventional rolling machine 40. This machine counts on a yarn guiding system that lead these yarns to the rolling units of the empty cones 3.
- the conventional rolling machine 40 shall have a number of fuses (rolling units in empty cones 3, also named drums) at least and preferable equal to the number of yarns in the cans 2.
- Each yarn 1, before being rolled, shall be waxed by friction when passing by rotary wax patches, therefore prepared to be used in the knitting industry.
