Definitions
- the invention relates to a sanitary module with automatic cleaning, of the type that can be set up in public places and whose cleaning operations are controlled automatically, once the departure of a user has been detected.
- a single geared motor which, via a grooved cam disc, actuates a lever articulated on a fixed axis and controlled by a roller flowing in the grooved cam, a link driven by the lever ensuring the rotation of the backrest.
- This module gives complete satisfaction. He also equips many public toilets. However, the inventors wished to make improvements to this type of module, to reduce the size and weight, and to simplify the kinematics.
- the invention proposes a sanitary module of the aforementioned type, whose control mechanism is such that the rotational movement of the motor is transmitted to the bowl via the backrest. This results in a substantial gain in weight and space, and simplified kinematics.
- a sanitary module 1 to automatic cleaning for example to equip a public health facility of the type comprising a closed enclosure whose access is for example limited by a toll gate.
- the module 1 comprises, in the first place, a frame 2 which forms the carrying structure of the module 1, and which comprises two lateral flanks opposite, namely a first lateral flank 3 - hereinafter referred to as the left flank -, and a second flank lateral 4 - hereinafter referred to as the right flank -, connected by a bottom wall 5 and surmounted by an upper wall 6 which, as we will see hereafter, forms a support for functional members of the module 1.
- the frame 2 comprises in addition, opposite its upper wall 6, a base 7 provided with feet 8 for fixing the frame 1 to the floor of the sanitary enclosure.
- the positions of use and cleaning of the backrest 13 respectively correspond to the positions of use and cleaning of the bowl 9, their respective rotational movements during the transition from one position to another being synchronized, as we will see here. -after.
- the backrest 13 In the position of use, the backrest 13 partially closes the frame 2 by connecting the front edges 17, 18 of the lateral flanks 3, 4.
- a cover (not shown) disposed directly above the backrest 13 completes this closure by covering an opening 19 formed between the flanks 3, 4 above the backrest 13, the backrest 13 in position of use and the cover thus forming, together, a front wall of the frame 2.
- the backrest 13 In the cleaning position, the backrest 13 has pivoted by half a turn around its axis 14 and is arranged vertically in the frame 2 between the sidewalls 3, 4.
- the backrest 13 has an upper edge 20 notched, which provides, when passing from one to the other positions, a space allowing the free passage of the bowl 9, without risk of collision.
- the sanitary module 1 further comprises a mechanism 21 for controlling the simultaneous passage of the bowl 9 and the backrest 13 from their position of use to their cleaning position, and vice versa.
- This mechanism 21 comprises a motor 22 mounted on the upper wall 6 of the frame 2 in line with the left flank 3, and rotatably coupled to the first journal 15 of the axis 14 of the backrest 13.
- the motor 22 comprises, on the side of the left sidewall 3, an output shaft 23 on which is fixed a first toothed pulley 24, while on the first pin 15 of the axis 14 of the backrest 13 is fixed a second toothed pulley 25 rotatably coupled to the first 24 by means of a toothed synchronous transmission belt 26.
- the control mechanism 21 further includes, on the side of the right lateral flank 4, a transmission 27 coupling in rotation the second journal 16 of the axis 14 of the backrest 13 and the second journal 12 of the axis 10 of the bowl 9 .
- the passage to the cleaning position is as follows (an intermediate position between the position of use and the cleaning position is illustrated on the Figures 7 to 9 , which is referred to in the following).
- an electronic control unit controls the power supply of the motor 22, which, by through the transmission belt 26, rotates the pulley 25 clockwise (as defined in the plan of the figure 7 and as indicated in this figure by the arrow F1), thus causing the backrest 13 to tilt.
- the tilting of the backrest 13 causes the simultaneous rotation of the pinion 28 counterclockwise (as defined in the plan of the figure 8 and as indicated in this figure by the arrow F2).
- the toothed wheel 29 which meshes with the pinion 28 is then driven clockwise (arrow F3, figure 8 ), causes the eccentric 30 to tilt, which in turn induces the movement of the connecting rod 32 downwards (arrow F4) and thus causes the rotation of the crank 31 in the clockwise direction (arrow F5).
- the file 13 has undergone a reversal to 180 °, while the bowl has undergone a rotation of 90 ° (it suffices to choose for the toothed wheel 29 a diameter twice that of the pinion 28 and for the crank 31 a length equal to the distance from the end of the eccentric 30 to the axis of the toothed wheel 29).
- the module also comprises a safety device 33 to prevent the tilting of the bowl 9 and the backrest 13 is controlled while a weight (for example that of a child), is exerted on the bowl 9.
- a safety device 33 to prevent the tilting of the bowl 9 and the backrest 13 is controlled while a weight (for example that of a child), is exerted on the bowl 9.
- This safety device 33 comprises a movable electrical contact sensor 34, fixed on the left flank 3 of the frame 2, actuated by a pivoting lever 35 having an upper end 36 disposed facing the contact, and a lower end 37 connected to a spring 38 which urges the lever 35 to a rest position ( figure 1 ) in which the upper end 36 is spaced apart from the contact.
- a mass of a value greater than a predetermined threshold value for example 3 to 4 kg, which corresponds to the mass of a small child
- a predetermined threshold value for example 3 to 4 kg, which corresponds to the mass of a small child
- the safety device 33 comprises a damping system 39 integrated in the control mechanism 21.
- This damping system 39 is in the form of an elastic link connecting two portions of the connecting rod 32 placed end to end, namely an upper portion 40, connected to the eccentric 30, and a lower portion 41, connected to the crank 31.
- This elastic link 39 comprises for example a spring working in compression, interposed between the two portions 40, 41 of the rod 32, and whose stiffness is chosen so that under its weight alone, the bowl 9 does not pivot sufficiently to cause the tilting of the lever 35 towards its active position, while under the combined weight of the bowl 9 and a predetermined weight placed on the bowl (in practice with a mass greater than 3 to 4 kg), the latter pivots around its axis 10 until the lever 35 is tilted towards its active position, which actuates the contact of the sensor 34 and thus prevents the triggering of the mechanism 21 for controlling the tilting of the bowl 9 and the backrest 13.
- the sanitary module 1 comprises a system 42 for passive compensation of the weight of the bowl 9, aimed at limiting the resistant torque applied to the axis 10 of rotation of the bowl 9 when it pivots under the action of the mechanism of 21, both in one direction and the other.
- the coupling in rotation of the lever 43 and the first pin 11 of the axis 10 of the bowl 9 is made by means of a chain 48 which meshes with a first pinion 49 mounted on the first pin 11 of the axis 10 of the bowl 9, and a second pinion 50 mounted on the axis 44 of the lever 43 .
- the tension of this chain 48 can be adjusted by means of a tensor device 51 comprising a freely pivoting pinion 52, mounted on a plate 53 slidably mounted on the left sidewall 3 of the frame 2, perpendicular to the chain 48.
- the bowl 9 drives, through the chain 48 (arrow F7) the pivoting of the lever 43 about its axis 44 (arrow F8), which, by pulling on the rod 47, causes the extension of the jack 45 (arrow F9), which opposes this extension by exerting on the rod 47 a restoring force whose value will be chosen by those skilled in the art - by the choice of the cylinder - depending in particular on the weight of the bowl 9 .
- the compensation system 42 also operates in the other direction, during the passage of the bowl 9 from its cleaning position to its position of use, the cylinder 45 also opposes its own compression.
- the sanitary module 1 is furthermore equipped with a device 54 for drying the bowl 9 and the backrest 13.
- This drying device 54 comprises, on the one hand, a carriage 55 mounted on the right lateral flank 4 of the frame 2, this carriage 55 being movable in vertical translation opposite a window 56 formed in the sidewall 4, between a position low, in which the carriage 55 is close to the base 7 (position illustrated in FIG. figure 3 ) and a high position (not shown), in which the carriage 55 is close to the upper wall 6.
- the window 56 is closed by a pair of brushes (not shown) attached to the edges of the window 56, allowing the carriage 55 to pass between them while jointly forming a barrier against splashing caused by the spraying of water during cleaning.
- the drying device 54 comprises, on the other hand, a tube 57, a first end 58 of which is intended to be connected to a forced-air supply system (not represented), and a second end 59 of which is opposite to the first one. 58, is fixed on the movable carriage 55, facing the window 56. In this way, the interior of the frame 2, in which are the bowl 9 and the backrest 13 in the cleaning position, is put in communication with the forced air supply system.
- the carriage 55 is equipped with rotary rollers 60 (of the diabolo type) which cooperate with two guide rails 61, 62 mounted on the right lateral sidewall 4 of the frame 2, on either side of the window 56.
- the drying device 54 further comprises a carriage drive system, which comprises a motor 63 having an output shaft 64 to which is attached a first toothed pulley 65; a second pulley 66 toothed is rotatably mounted on the right sidewall 4 of the frame 2 near the base 7, a synchronous belt 67 toothed being stretched between the pulleys 65, 66.
- the circulation of the belt 67 under the effect of rotation of the first pulley 65 drives the carriage 55 from its low position to its high position, and vice versa.
- the electronic control unit initially controls the tilting of the backrest 13 and the bowl 9 to their cleaning position, as described above. Then, in a second step, the central controls the cleaning of the backrest 13 and the bowl 9. In a third step, the control unit controls both the power supply of the engine 63 and the air supply of the tubing 57. The file 13 and the bowl 9 are then dried by a side air blade which sweeps them up and down as the carriage 55 moves. This scanning operation can be repeated as necessary, depending on the force of the air flow. generated.
- the control unit controls the tilting in the reverse of the backrest 13 and the bowl 9, which then return to their position of use in which the sanitary module 1 is ready to accommodate the next user.
- the sanitary module 1 which has just been described has a certain number of advantages.
- the motor 22 is coupled to the backrest 13 only: it is by the backrest 13 that the rotational movement of the motor 22 is transmitted to the bowl 9. functionally integrated with the control mechanism 21.
- the transmission 27 interposed between the backrest 13 and the bowl 9 allows a reliable synchronization of the movements of the backrest 13 and the bowl 9.
- the remote arrangement of the drying device 54 also makes it possible to improve the compactness of the sanitary module 1, since in the known modules (as described in the documents FR-2,635,131 and US-5,090,069 already mentioned), the drying is carried out by means of a blower nozzle supplied with air by a succession of telescopic tubes which engage one into the other, which requires cleaning in the upper part of the frame and in its part. back enough space to accommodate the nozzle and tubes.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a sanitary module with automatic cleaning, of the type that can be set up in public places and whose cleaning operations are controlled automatically, once the departure of a user has been detected.
Ce type de module comporte généralement :
- un bâti ;
- une cuvette de W-C montée pivotante sur le bâti, entre une position d'utilisation et une position de nettoyage ;
- un dossier monté pivotant sur le bâti au-dessus de la cuvette, entre une position d'utilisation et une position de nettoyage ;
- a building;
- a toilet bowl pivotally mounted on the frame, between a position of use and a cleaning position;
- a backrest pivotally mounted on the frame above the bowl, between a position of use and a cleaning position;
- a mechanism for controlling the passage of the bowl and the backrest from their position of use to their cleaning position and vice versa.
- a motor coupled to the axis of the backrest, and
- a transmission coupling in rotation the axis of the backrest and the axis of the bowl.
The kinematics of such a module, for the passage from the position of use to the cleaning position, is provided by a single geared motor, which, via a grooved cam disc, actuates a lever articulated on a fixed axis and controlled by a roller flowing in the grooved cam, a link driven by the lever ensuring the rotation of the backrest.
This module gives complete satisfaction. He also equips many public toilets. However, the inventors wished to make improvements to this type of module, to reduce the size and weight, and to simplify the kinematics.
For this purpose, the invention proposes a sanitary module of the aforementioned type, whose control mechanism is such that the rotational movement of the motor is transmitted to the bowl via the backrest. This results in a substantial gain in weight and space, and simplified kinematics.

- a position of use in which the
bowl 9 extends horizontally protruding frontal with respect to frame 2 (Figures 1 to 6 ), this position notably allowing a user to sit on thebowl 9, and - a cleaning position in which the
bowl 9 is retracted vertically into the frame (Figures 10 to 12 ), position in which thebowl 9 is intended to be cleaned by spraying water with detergents by means of a cleaning device which, not falling within the scope of the invention, will not be described in detail.

backrest 13 is retracted into theframe 2.
The positions of use and cleaning of the
In the position of use, the

The module also comprises a
When a mass of a value greater than a predetermined threshold value (for example 3 to 4 kg, which corresponds to the mass of a small child) is placed on the
In order to allow a certain angular displacement of the

The

In practice, the
The drying
The drying
Thus, when the departure of the last user is detected, the electronic control unit initially controls the tilting of the
The
In the first place, as is apparent from the foregoing description, the
