Abstract

In an elevator work scaffolding apparatus, a plurality of foundation posts are erected on a landing. A plurality of diagonal foundation members are disposed diagonally between lower end portions of the foundation posts and a hoistway rear wall. A plurality of horizontal foundation beams are disposed horizontally between the foundation posts and leading end portions of the diagonal foundation members. A plurality of suspended posts disposed vertically inside the hoistway are supported by the horizontal foundation beams. A lower portion work platform is supported below the horizontal foundation beams by the suspended posts. An upper portion work platform is supported above the lower portion work platform by the suspended posts.

Description

    TECHNICAL FIELD
  • The present invention relates to an elevator work scaffolding apparatus that can be assembled during work inside a hoistway such as installation work, for example.
  • BACKGROUND ART
  • Generally, during installation in elevators not having a machine room in an upper portion of a hoistway, also known as "machine-roomless elevators", it is necessary to perform work at a top portion inside the hoistway to install lifting apparatuses, to fix guide rails to the top portion, etc.
  • As examples of conventional scaffolding apparatuses for performing work of this kind, constructions are disclosed such as that in Japanese Patent No. 2682354 (Gazette), for example, in which a workplatform is extended inside the hoistway from a landing platform of an uppermost floor. However, in such constructions, when the distance from the landing of the uppermost floor to the top portion inside the hoistway is large, a worker on the work platform cannot reach the top portion inside the hoistway.
  • Constructions are also disclosed, such as that in Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. SHO 58-183579 (Gazette), for example, in which a scaffolding apparatus is set up from a hoistway floor portion to the top of the hoistway. However, in such constructions, since the scaffolding apparatus is large, it requires complicated procedures for assembly and dismantling. Since the number of parts is considerably large, complicated procedures are also required for transportation and costs are high.
  • DISCLOSURE OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention aims to solve the above problems and an object of the present invention is to provide an elevator work scaffolding apparatus enabling work at a top portion of a hoistway to be performed easily even when a distance from a landing platform of an uppermost floor to the top portion inside the hoistway is large, while suppressing increases in cost.
  • In order to achieve the above object, according to one aspect of the present invention, there is provided an elevator work scaffolding apparatus including: a scaffolding supporting frame installed so as to project inside a hoistway from a landing; a lower portion work platform supported by the scaffolding supporting frame; and an upper portion work platform supported above the lower portion work platform by the scaffolding supporting frame.

    BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
  • Preferred embodiments of the present invention will now be explained with reference to the drawings.
  • Embodiment 1
  • Figure 1 is a side elevation showing an elevator work scaffolding apparatus according to Embodiment 1 of the present invention, and Figure 2 is a plan showing the work scaffolding apparatus in Figure 1.
  • In the figures, a landing entrance 2 is disposed between an elevator hoistway 1 and a landing. The hoistway 1 is constituted by: a hoistway front wall 1a through which the landing entrance 2 is disposed; a hoistway rear wall 1b opposing the landing entrance 2; a pair of hoistway side walls 1c and 1d; a hoistway ceiling portion 1e; and a hoistway floor portion 1f.
  • A plurality of lifting beams 3 are fixed to the hoistway ceiling portion 1e. A lifting apparatus 4 used in installation work is supported by the lifting beams 3.
  • Two foundation posts 6 are erected on a landing platform 5 of an uppermost floor. A metal supporting fitting 7 contacting a landing wall above the landing entrance 2 is mounted to an upper end portion of each of the foundation posts 6.
  • Two diagonal foundation members 8 are disposed parallel to each other between the landing platform 5 and the hoistway rear wall 1b. Each of the diagonal foundation members 8 has : a base endportion 8a connected to a lower end portion of one of the foundation posts 6; and a leading end portion 8b contacting the hoistway rear wall 1b. The diagonal foundation members 8 are disposed inside the hoistway 1 such that the leading endportions 8b thereof are positioned diagonally above the base end portions 8a.
  • The base end portions 8a are connected to the foundation posts 6 by first metal connecting fittings (first clamping members) 9. Metal contacting fittings 11 that are pivotable around pins 10 are disposed on the leading end portions 8b.
  • Two horizontal foundation beams 12 are disposed inside the hoistway 1 so as to be parallel to each other and horizontal. Each of the horizontal foundation beams 12 has: a first end portion 12a connected to one of the foundation posts 6; and a second end portion 12b connected to the leading end portion 8b of one of the diagonal foundation members 8. The first end portions 12a are connected to the foundation posts 6 by second metal connecting fittings (second clamping members) 13.
  • Two supporting beams 14 extending horizontally so as to be perpendicular to the horizontal foundation beams 12 are disposed so as to span across the two foundation horizontal beams 12. Suspended posts 16 are each connected to first and second end portions of each of the supporting beams 14 by means of third metal connecting fittings (third clamping members) 15. A total of four suspended posts 16 are each disposed vertically inside the hoistway 1. The suspended posts 16 are supported by the horizontal foundation beams 12 through the supporting beams 14.
  • A scaffolding supporting frame according to Embodiment 1 includes: the foundation posts 6, the metal supporting fitting 7, the diagonal foundation members 8, the first metal connecting fittings 9, the pins 10, the metal contacting fittings 11, the horizontal foundation beams 12, the second metal connecting fittings 13, the supporting beams 14, the third metal connecting fittings 15, and the suspended posts 16. Furthermore, the scaffolding supporting frame is installed so as to project inside the hoistway 1 from the landing.
  • A lower portion work platform 17 is supported below the horizontal foundation beams 12 by the suspended posts 16. The lower portion work platform 17 has: two lower portion bearing beams 18 disposed horizontally between lower end portions of front and rear suspended posts 16; and a plurality of lower portion scaffolding boards 19 disposed so as to span the two lower portion bearing beams 18. The lower portion bearing beams 18 are connected to the suspended posts 16 by fourth metal connecting fittings (fourth clamping members) 20. The lower portion scaffolding boards 19 are fixed to the lower portion bearing beams 18 by fasteners such as rubber bands, ropes, etc.
  • The lower portion work platform 17 is installed within a range of height dimensions of the landing entrance 2 such that movement from the landing platform 5 is possible.
  • An upper portion work platform 21 is supported above the horizontal foundation beams 12 by the suspended posts 16. The upper portion work platform 21 has: two upper portion bearing beams 22 disposed horizontally between a vicinity of upper end portions of the front and rear suspended posts 16; and a plurality of upper portion scaffolding boards 23 disposed so as to span the two upper portion bearing beams 22. The upper portion bearing beams 22 are connected to the suspended posts 16byfifthmetal connecting fittings (fifth clamping members) 24. The upper portion scaffolding boards 23 are fixed to the upper portion bearing beams 22 by fasteners 25 such as rubber bands, ropes, etc.
  • The foundation posts 6, the diagonal foundation members 8, the horizontal foundation beams 12, the supporting beams 14, the suspended posts 16, the lower portion bearing beams 18, and the upper portion bearing beams 22 may be constituted by steel pipes, for example. The lower portion scaffolding boards 19 and the upper portion scaffolding boards 23 may be constituted by wooden planks, for example.
  • In a work scaffolding apparatus of this kind, if performing work at a top portion inside the hoistway 1, a worker first moves from the landing onto the lower portion work platform 17, then moves onto the upper portion work platform 21 from on top of the lower portion work platform 17. It is possible to move from the lower portion work platform 17 onto the upper portion work platform 21 using a pedestal, or a ladder, etc., before mounting a portion of the upper portion scaffolding boards 23, for example.
  • Because a lower portion work platform 17 and an upper portion work platform 21 positioned above that are disposed in this manner, even if the distance from the landing platform 5 of the uppermost floor to the top portion inside the hoistway 1 is large, the worker can perform work at the top portion of the hoistway 1 easily by climbing onto the upper portion work platform 21. Since it is not necessary to build the scaffolding up from the hoistway floor portion 1f, increases in cost can be suppressed, and assembly and dismantling are also facilitated.
  • Moreover, if the distance from the landing platform 5 of the uppermost floor to the top portion inside the hoistway 1 is small, the work can be performed using only the lower portion work platform 17 without mounting the upper portion work platform 21.
  • Although it depends on the body height of the worker, it is desirable for a distance of greater than or equal to 1,500 mm to be ensured from the hoistway ceiling portion 1e to the upper portion work platform 21, for example, in order to enable work on top of the upper portion work platform 21 to be performed efficiently.
  • In addition, it is preferable for a distance from the lower portion work platform 17 to the upper portion work platform 21 to be set within a range enabling mounting of the upper portion work platform 21 to be performed by a worker on the lower portion work platform 17 to facilitate assembly of the work scaffolding apparatus.
  • It is also desirable for the vertical mounting position of the upper portion work platform 21 to be made adjustable. In this manner, it is possible to adapt easily to changes in height from the landing platform 5 of the uppermost floor to the hoistway ceiling portion 1e.
  • If, for example, the height to the hoistway ceiling portion 1e is higher than in Figure 1, as shown in Figure 3, work at the top portion inside the hoistway 1 can be facilitated by setting the mounting position of the upper portion work platform 21 relative to the suspended posts 16 higher than in Figure 1.
  • If, on the other hand, the height to the hoistway ceiling portion 1e is lower than in Figure 1, height dimensions for a workspace above the upper portion work platform 21 can be sufficiently ensured by setting the mounting position of the upper portion work platform 21 relative to the suspended posts 16 lower than in Figure 1.
  • Embodiment 2
  • Figure 4 is a side elevation showing an elevator work scaffolding apparatus according to Embodiment 2 of the present invention, and Figure 5 is a plan showing the work scaffolding apparatus in Figure 4. In this example, a ladder 31 is disposed between the lower portion work platform 17 and the upper portion work platform 21. In order to enable movement onto the upper portion work platform 21 from the ladder 31, a portion of the upper portion scaffolding boards 23 is removed. The rest of the construction is similar to that of Embodiment 1.
  • By disposing a ladder 31 between the lower portion work platform 17 and the upper portion work platform 21 in this manner, movement between the lower portion work platform 17 and the top of the upper portion work platform 21 can be facilitated, enabling work efficiency to be improved.
  • Embodiment 3
  • Figure 6 is a side elevation showing an elevator work scaffolding apparatus according to Embodiment 3 of the present invention, Figure 7 is an enlargement showing a portion VII from Figure 6, Figure 8 is a cross section taken along a line VIII - VIII in Figure 6, and Figure 9 is an enlargement showing a portion IX from Figure 6.
  • In the figures, a plurality of pin apertures 16a extending horizontally are disposed in suspended posts 16. The pin apertures 16a are disposed: slightly above third metal connecting fittings 15 for connecting the suspended posts 16 to horizontal foundation beams 12; slightly below fourth metal connecting fittings 20 for connecting a lower portion work platform 17 to the suspended posts 16; and slightly below fifth metal connecting fittings 24 for connecting an upper portion work platform 21 to the suspended posts 16.
  • A pin 32 is inserted through each of the pin apertures 16a. Two end portions of each of the pins 32 project horizontally outward from surfaces of the suspended posts 16. A dislodgment preventing nut is screwed onto a leading end portion of each of the pins 32.
  • A backup member 33 constituted by a steel pipe is connected by means of sixth metal connecting fittings (sixth clamping members) 34 between two diagonal foundation members 8 in a vicinity of base end portions 8a. The backup member 33 extends so as to lie cross the landing entrance 2 horizontally, two end portions coming into contact with the hoistway front wall 1a on two sides of the landing entrance 2.
  • Pin apertures 12c are disposed on a portion of each of the diagonal foundation members 8 slightly above the sixth metal connecting fittings 34. A pin 35 is inserted through each of the pin apertures 12c. Two end portions of each of the pins 35 project outward from surfaces of the diagonal foundation members 8. A dislodgment preventing nut is screwed onto a leading end portion of each of the pins 35.
  • In a work scaffolding apparatus of this kind, because pins 32 are inserted through the suspended posts 16, even if the fourth and fifth metal connecting fittings 20 and 24 slip downward relative to the suspended posts 16 and become misaligned, or the suspended posts 16 slip downward relative to the thirdmetal connecting fittings 15 and become misaligned, etc., the fourth, fifth, and third metal connecting fittings 20, 24, and 15 will come into contact with the pins 32, enabling slippage of this kind to be prevented and improving the stability of the scaffolding.
  • Because the backup member 33 is connected between the diagonal foundation members 8 and the two end portions of the backup member 33 are placed in contact with the hoistway front wall 1a, the base end portions 8a of the diagonal foundation members 8 are prevented from slipping away from the hoistway 1, thereby also improving the stability of the scaffolding.
  • In addition, because pins 35 are inserted through the diagonal foundation members 8, slippage of the sixth metal connecting fittings 34 relative to the diagonal foundation members 8 is prevented, further improving the stability of the scaffolding.
  • Moreover, the work scaffolding apparatus according to the present invention can be used not only for elevator installation, but also during modification work, and during maintenance inspections, etc., for example.
  • In the above examples, the work scaffolding apparatus according to the present invention is installed mainly on the landing platform of an uppermost floor, but if necessary, the work scaffolding apparatus according to the present invention can also be installed on the landing platform of a landing floor other than the uppermost floor. The work scaffolding apparatus according to the present invention can also be used for work in elevator hoistways having a machine room.
  • In addition, in the above examples, two foundation posts 6, two diagonal foundation members 8, and two horizontal foundation beams 12 are disposed, but in some cases, three or more of each of these may also be disposed.
  • Furthermore, in the above examples, four suspended posts 16 are used, but in some cases, five or more suspended posts may also be used. In that case, three or more supporting beams 14 may also be used.
  • The basic construction of the scaffolding supporting frame is also not necessarily limited to the above examples.

Claims (6)

  1. An elevator work scaffolding apparatus comprising:
    a scaffolding supporting frame installed so as to project inside a hoistway from a landing;
    a lower portion work platform supported by said scaffolding supporting frame; and
    an upper portion work platform supported above said lower portion work platform by said scaffolding supporting frame.
  2. The elevator work scaffolding apparatus according to Claim 1, wherein:
    said scaffolding supporting frame comprises:
    a plurality of foundation posts erected on said landing;
    a plurality of diagonal foundation members having a base end portion connected to a lower end portion of said foundation posts and a leading end portion contacting a hoistway rear wall opposing a landing entrance, said leading end portion being disposed inside said hoistway so as to be positioned diagonally above said base end portion;
    a plurality of horizontal foundation beams disposed horizontally inside said hoistway, having a first end portion connected to said foundation posts and a second end portion connected to said leading end portion of said diagonal foundation members; and
    a plurality of suspended posts supported by said horizontal foundation beams and disposed vertically inside said hoistway,
    said lower portion work platform being supported below said horizontal foundation beams by said suspended posts, and said upper portion work platform being supported above said lower portion work platform by said suspended posts.
  3. The elevator work scaffolding apparatus according to Claim 1, wherein a vertical mounting position of said upper portion work platform is adjustable.
  4. The elevator work scaffolding apparatus according to Claim 1, further comprising a ladder disposed between said lower portion work platform and said upper portion work platform.
  5. The elevator work scaffolding apparatus according to Claim 2, wherein a pin is inserted through at least one of said suspended posts below at least one of said lower portion work platform and said upper portion work platform, said pin projecting horizontally outward from a surface of said suspended post.
  6. The elevator work scaffolding apparatus according to Claim 2, further comprising a backup member extending horizontally so as to lie across said landing entrance and connected to said diagonal foundation members, two end portions of said backup member coming into contact with a hoistway front wall on two sides of said landing entrance.
