Claims (11)

  1. Device for closing bottles (2) or similar containers each with a screw-type closure (3), said device having at least one closing position (5), which is formed on the periphery of a rotor (4) that is driveable in a rotating manner about a vertical machine or rotor axis (RA), said closing position having a rotatingly driveable screw head (6) for applying the respective screw-type closure (3) to the container to be closed by means of screw connection and a container carrier (8), said device also having a lifting element (11) for each closing position (5), sad lifting element being displaceable in a first lifting direction for vertically advancing the associated container carrier (8) with the container to be closed to the screw head (6) and being displaceable in a second lifting direction, which is in opposition to the first lifting direction, for removing the container carrier (8) with the closed container from the screw head (6), said device also having a cam control (12, 14) for the lifting movement of the lifting element (11) as well as at least one resilient element (16) that pretensions the container carrier (8) in the direction of the screw head (6), characterized in that the lifting element (11) is displaceable in both lifting directions exclusively and forcibly by means of the cam control (12, 14), and in that the container carrier (8) is drivingly connected to the lifting element (11) by means of the at least one resilient element (16).
  2. Device according to Claim 1, characterized in that the cam control has at least two control faces (14.1, 14.2), of which one control face (14.1) forcibly controls the lifting movement of the lifting element (11) in the one lifting direction and the other control face (14.2) forcibly controls the movement of the lifting element (11) in the other lifting direction.
  3. Device according to Claim 2, characterized in that the control faces (14.1, 14.2) are formed by the lateral faces of a common control groove (14).
  4. Device according to Claim 2 or 3, characterized by at least one cam roller (12) that interacts with the control faces (14.1, 14.2).
  5. Device according to one of the preceding Claims, characterized in that the lifting element (11) is a lifting rod (11), which is oriented with its axis in the direction of the lifting movement or parallel to the axis of the rotor (4) and is displaceable in an axial manner for the lifting movement.
  6. Device according to Claim 5, characterized in that the at least one resilient element (16) acts between the container carrier (8) or a support element (9) that includes said container carrier and the lifting rod (11).
  7. Device according to Claim 6, characterized in that the at least one resilient element is a compression spring (16) that surrounds the lifting rod, said compression spring being supported with one end on a part (9.2) of the container carrier (8) guided on the lifting rod (11) or on a part of an carrying element (9) that includes said container carrier and being supported with a second end on a spring hangar (17) provided on the lifting rod (11) and pretensioning the container carrier (8) in the first lifting direction.
  8. Device according to one of the preceding Claims, characterized by a stop member (11.1) that defines the movement of the container carrier (8) in the first lifting direction relative to the lifting element (11).
  9. Device according to Claim 8, characterized in that the stop member (11.1) is provided on the lifting element.
  10. Device according to one of the preceding Claims, characterized in that a plurality of closing positions (5) are formed on the periphery of the rotor (4).
  11. Device according to one of the preceding Claims, characterized in that the cam control is provided underneath the container carrier (8).
