Definitions
- the present invention relates to the general technical field of agricultural machinery. More specifically, it relates to a device for treating fodder comprising:
- a first guide element partially surrounding said rotor so as to define a passage channel for said fodder
- a second guide element arranged so as to guide the flow of fodder leaving said passage channel, said second guide element being able to be arranged in at least two configurations relative to said rotor.
- the forage treatment device also called conditioner
- the forage treatment device advantageously makes it possible to reduce the time necessary for the drying of the product cut by the mower.
- Document EP 1 008 290 A1 describes a mower comprising a cutting device intended to cut a standing product such as grass for example.
- This known mower also includes a forage treatment device disposed behind the cutting device.
- This forage treatment device in turn comprises a rotor driven in rotation about a horizontal axis.
- the fodder coming from the cutting mechanism is led by the rotor along a conditioning sheet to finally be ejected towards the rear of said mower.
- This known treatment device additionally comprises a guide plate disposed further downstream of the packaging sheet.
- This guide plate is linked to the walls of a box so as to be able to occupy two positions in which it directs the feed flow in a different manner.
- the drawback of this fodder treatment device lies in the fact that the conditioning sheet occupies a unique position with respect to the rotor. The possibilities for adjusting the intensity of the conditioning are therefore very limited. The user therefore does not have the possibility of suitably adapting this known device to the different types and quantities of fodder that he may encounter.
- the document EP 0 064 114 A1 describes another device for treating fodder. This also includes a. rotor driven in rotation and covered by a conditioning sheet. The position of this conditioning sheet relative to the rotor is this time adjustable. However, this prior document does not describe the use of a second sheet for guiding the flow of fodder downstream of the packaging sheet.
- Document US 4,539,798 describes a device for picking up cut products comprising a rotor housed in a structure composed of lateral parts and a front cover.
- This cover forms with the rotor a channel for the passage of products. It is produced in one or two sections which extend practically in the extension of one another, which sections are movable to adapt to the mass of products having to pass through said channel.
- This device does not include means making it possible to adjust the intensity of the treatment of the fodder nor means making it possible to modify the orientation of the flow of products at the outlet.
- the object of the present invention is to obtain a device for treating the fodder with which the user has multiple possibilities for adjusting the intensity of the conditioning, while avoiding disturbing the continuity of the flow of fodder and with which it is possible to quickly and easily modify the orientation of the feed flow at the outlet of the rotor.
- the forage treatment device is characterized in that there is provided a first control member intended to move the first guide element in at least two positions relative to the rotor and to maintain it in these positions, that a connection is provided between said first guide element and said second guide element so that a change in position of said first guide element modifies, in its first configuration, the position of said second guide element and that a second control member intended to arrange said second guide element according to the different configurations is provided.
- the different positions of the first guide element advantageously make it possible to modify the distance and / or the orientation of the first guide element relative to the rotor. Therefore it acts directly on the degree of fractionation of the fodder, therefore on the conditioning intensity. Thanks to the link provided, the position of the second guide element automatically adapts to the setting of the first guide element. Thus, this adjustment does not cause a sudden drop or change of direction in the path defined by the guide elements.
- the feed flow therefore advantageously retains a regular flow.
- the second control member makes it possible to arrange the second guide element in another configuration in which it modifies the direction of the flow of products at the outlet of the rotor.
- FIG. 1 represents a top view of an agricultural mower in accordance with the present invention
- FIG. 2 represents a side view of the mower along arrow II defined in FIG. 1, the second guide device being arranged in a first configuration
- FIG. 3 represents a part of FIG. 2 showing the second guide device arranged in a second configuration
- FIG. 4 represents, seen from the side along arrow II and on another scale, a device for treating fodder according to the present invention
- FIG. 5 to 7 show, seen from the side and on another scale, the forage treatment device of Figure 4 arranged in three different adjustment positions.
- FIG. 8 represents an enlargement according to zone VIII defined in FIG. 4.
- Figure 1 shows an agricultural mower (1) according to the present invention. Said mower (1) is intended to be coupled to a motor vehicle (not shown) which moves it in a direction and a direction of advance indicated by the arrow (2).
- a motor vehicle not shown
- the following concepts “front” and “rear”, “front” and “behind” are defined relative to the direction of advance (2) and the concepts “right” and “left” are defined in looking at said mower (1) from the rear in the direction of advance (2).
- said mower (1) comprises a cutting device (4) intended to cut a standing product such as grass for example.
- Said cutting device (4) is linked to said motor vehicle by means of a chassis (3).
- Said frame (3) advantageously makes it possible to bring said cutting device (4) from a working position to a transport position. In the working position as shown in Figure 1, said cutting device (4) rests at least partially on the ground.
- said chassis (3) comprises means, for example springs, for transferring to the working position ; at least part of the weight of said cutting device (4) on said motor vehicle.
- said chassis (3) also allows said cutting device (4) to follow the contours of the ground, regardless of the position of said motor vehicle.
- Such a chassis (3) is known to those skilled in the art, so it will not be described in more detail.
- said cutting device (4) comprises cutting members (5) arranged in a line at least substantially perpendicular to said direction of advance (2). Said cutting members (5) are visible in FIG. 2 thanks to a partial cut made in said cutting device (4).
- each cutting member (5) is rotated around a respective axis directed upwards. Knives (6), linked to the periphery of said cutting members (5), thus describe circles at high speed and come to cut said product on impact by impact.
- the animation of said cutting device (4) is ensured by means of transmission elements (7) connected to a power take-off of said motor vehicle.
- Other means for cutting the standing product can be used without departing from the scope of the present invention.
- said mower (1) further comprises a fodder treatment device (8) intended to accelerate the drying of the cut product.
- said forage treatment device (8) is disposed at the rear of said cutting device (4).
- said forage treatment device (8) comprises a box (9) linked to said cutting device (4).
- Said box (9) has an inlet section (10) located behind said cutting device (4) and an outlet section (11) located at the rear of said mower (1).
- said outlet section (11) is advantageously provided with lateral deflectors (12) for producing a calibrated swath of cut and treated product.
- the orientation of said lateral deflectors (12) can be modified by virtue of their pivoting mounting around a pivot (13) and a guide groove (14) shown in FIG. 1. The user can thus adjust the width of the swath deposits on the ground.
- Said forage treatment device (8) also comprises a rotor (15) intended to drive the forage towards said outlet section (11).
- said rotor (15) consists of a shaft (16) pivotally mounted in said box (9) along an axis (45) substantially horizontal and transverse to said direction of advance (2).
- said shaft (16) is rotated directly or indirectly by the PTO of said motor vehicle by means of said transmission elements (7).
- the direction of rotation of said rotor (15) is shown in the figures by the arrow (46).
- Said shaft (16) is further provided with fingers (17) which extend during work radially outward by defining a peripheral trajectory (18).
- Said fingers (17) can have various shapes known to those skilled in the art.
- a pivoting mounting of said fingers (17) on said shaft (16) allows said fingers (17) to retract at least partially in the event that an obstacle or an abnormal quantity of forage enters said device. fodder treatment (8).
- said fodder treatment device (8) also comprises a first element of guide (19) arranged opposite said rotor (15), so as to define a passage channel (20) for the fodder.
- Said passage channel (20) is therefore located between an active surface (21) of said first guide element (19) and said peripheral trajectory (18) of said fingers (17).
- Said active surface (21) advantageously has a profiled shape at least partially surrounding said peripheral trajectory (18). The conditioning of the fodder is caused by the impact of said fingers (17) and by its passage through said passage channel (20).
- said first guide element (19) can occupy at least two positions relative to said rotor (15).
- said first guide element (19) is pivotally connected to said box (9) by means of an articulation (22) with an axis (23).
- Said axis (23) is advantageously parallel to said axis of rotation (45) of said rotor (15).
- a first control member (24) intended to pivot said first guide element (19) around said articulation (22) and to hold it in different positions. Therefore, an action on said first control member (24) generates a change in the section of said passage channel (20) and therefore a change in the intensity of conditioning.
- said first control member (24) consists of a lever (25) pivotally connected to said box (9) by means of a shaft (26) disposed substantially parallel to said axis (45 ) of said rotor (15).
- said lever (25) can occupy different positions defined by a locating and locking member (48) rigidly connected to said box (9).
- Said lever (25) and said locating and blocking member (48) are advantageously located outside of said box (9) so as to be easy of access for the user.
- said first control member (24) is composed in addition of an arm (27) rigidly connected to said shaft (26). There is also a link (28) connecting one end of said arm (27) to said first guide element (19) by means of pivot joints. Therefore, any change in position of said lever (25) generates the pivoting of said first guide element (19) around said articulation (22).
- said articulation (22) is located in a rear part of said first guide element (19).
- said articulation (22) is advantageously disposed behind and above the axis (45) of said rotor (15).
- FIGS. 5 and 6 show more precisely said first guide element (19) in a first adjustment position relatively distant from said rotor (15).
- FIG. 6 shows said first guide element (19) in a second adjustment position relatively close to said rotor (15). It can thus be seen that the pivoting of said first guide element (19) has an influence both on the inlet opening (29) and on the outlet opening (30) of said passage channel (20). The change in the intensity of the conditioning is therefore distributed over the entire length of said passage channel (20). It goes without saying that said first guide element (19) can occupy different intermediate positions between the positions shown in FIGS. 5 and 6 so as to refine the adjustment of the intensity of the conditioning.
- said fodder treatment device (8) also includes a comb (31) articulated along an axis (32) located outside of said passage channel (20).
- FIG. 4 shows such a comb (31) comprising teeth (33) capable of engaging at least partially in said passage channel (20) through one or more slots (47) formed in said first guide element (19).
- the said slot (s) (47) are visible in FIG. 1 by means of a partial section made in the said forage treatment device (8).
- a more pronounced engagement of said comb (31) in said passage channel (20) advantageously increases the intensity of the conditioning.
- blocking means are provided for blocking said comb (31) in a given position. Said comb (31) therefore constitutes an additional possibility for adjusting the intensity of the conditioning.
- Said comb (31) is articulated with respect to said slots (47), so as to close off said slots (47) and this for each position of said teeth (33).
- the axis (32) connecting said comb (31) is advantageously integral with said first guide element (19).
- said comb (31) is also pivoted around said articulation (22).
- said fodder treatment device (8) also includes a second guide element (34).
- Said second guide element (34) is arranged downstream of said first guide element (19), so as to be able to guide the flow of fodder leaving said passage channel (20).
- Said second guide element (34) can advantageously occupy at least two positions relative to said rotor (15).
- said second guide element (34) is pivotally connected to said box (9) by means of an articulation (35) with an axis (36).
- Said axis (36) is advantageously parallel to said axis of rotation (45) of said rotor (15).
- said articulation (35) is located in a rear part of said second guide element (34).
- said second guide element (34) is arranged in the extension of said first guide element (19). The flow of fodder thus continues to be guided on the trajectory it had when leaving said passage channel (20). This configuration of said second guide element (34) allows said forage to reach said side deflectors (12) shown in FIG. 1. The forage will then be deposited on the ground so as to form a swath of calibrated width.
- connection (39) between said first guide element (19) and said second guide element (34), so that any change in position of said first guide element (19) automatically changes the position of said second guide element (34).
- said connection (39) is advantageously produced by abutting and maintaining said second guide element (34) against said first guide element (19).
- said second guide element (34) advantageously comprises a spout (40) intended to come into abutment against a support (41) formed on said first guide element (19).
- Maintaining said spout (40) against said support (41) is achieved by means of an elastically deformable element (42).
- said elastically deformable element (42) is linked to said box (9).
- Said elastically deformable element (42) is advantageously arranged so as to create a torque around said axis (36) so that, in the first configuration as shown in FIGS. 2, 4 and 6, said spout (40) is kept pressed against said support (41).
- said elastically deformable element (42) makes it possible to maintain contact between said spout (40) and said support (41), regardless of the adjustment position of said first guide element (19). Said elastically deformable element (42) therefore causes a modification of the orientation of said second guide element (34) when the position of said first guide element (19) changes. Said second guide element (34) thus always remains in the extension of said first guide element (19), even when the latter is pivoted around said articulation (22). It follows that, in the first configuration of said second guide element (34) and whatever the setting of said first guide element (19), the feed flow advantageously undergoes neither detachment nor sudden change of direction during its passage from said first guide member (19) to said second guide member (34).
- said spout (40) is arranged in a front part of said second guide element (34).
- said support (41) is advantageously located in front of said articulation (22) connecting said first guide element (19) to said box (9).
- said support (41) is advantageously offset relative to said active surface (21), so as to leave said passage channel (20). Therefore, said connection (39) does not disturb the flow of the feed flow.
- said second guide element (34) can also be arranged in a second configuration by means of a second control member (44).
- said second guide element (34) is pivoted around said articulation (35) so as to be placed through the flow of fodder leaving said passage channel (20).
- An active surface (37) of said second guide element (34) then folds the flow of forage towards the ground before the latter reaches said lateral deflectors (12).
- said active surface (37) is provided with substantially vertical fins (38).
- Said fins (38) advantageously make it possible to distribute the feed flow over the entire width of said mower (1). This allows, if necessary, to further accelerate the drying of the forage.
- said active surface (37) and said fins (38) are not in contact with said fodder.
- Said elastically deformable element (42) is also arranged so as to create another torque so that, in the second configuration as shown in FIGS. 3 and 7, said second guide element (34) comes to bear against another non-stop represented.
- said elastically deformable element (42) makes it possible to maintain said second guide element (34) in a stable manner in said second configuration.
- said elastically deformable element (42) is a tension spring. It will be noted that in FIGS. 2 and 3, said tension spring has been represented symbolically.
- the second control member (44) is intended to pivot said second guide element (34) in the different configurations.
- said second control member (44) consists of a lever (43) which is advantageously disposed outside of said box (9). Said lever (43) is rigidly connected to a shaft disposed along said axis (36) and supporting said second guide element (34). Thus, in the light of FIG. 3, the pivoting of said lever (43) causes said second guide element (34) to pivot around said articulation (35).
- said elastically deformable element (42) is also disposed outside of said box (9). Said elastically deformable element (42) is then connected on the one hand to said box (9) and on the other hand to said lever (43).
- connection (39) can be produced by means of elements linking said first control member.
- said second guide element (34) is pivotally connected by means of said articulation (35), not to said box (9), but to said first guide element (19).
- the axis (36) of said articulation (35) coincides with the axis (23) of said articulation (22).
- the forage treatment device (8) according to the present invention can also be fitted to an agricultural machine not comprising a cutting device (4). Such a machine then includes a device for picking up the already cut forage on the ground.
