In order to have a two-sided possibility of use of the hinge and also for the purpose of locking in a set position, such supportable bolts 37 with adjusting screws 38 may be present on the top and also on the underside of the bearing element. A simple construction is apparent from the drawing. There are laterally in recesses 39 of the base 21 of the bearing element 8 insertable support members 40 are provided which receive a respective bolt 37 and an adjusting screw 38. The recesses 39 and the support members 40 are made approximately elliptical, so that they are already held by rotation against rotation in position.

Claims (10)

  1. A hinge for flush-abutting doors (9), in which two hinge parts (2,3) can rotate about a common hinge axis (4), wherein at least one hinge part (3) has a lug (7) which can be inserted into a hinge pocket (5) in a door frame (6) and which is pivotable in the hinge pocket (5) about an axis extending parallel to the hinge axis (4) and can be set in its set pivotal position and in its vertical position, wherein the lug engages in a pocket-like mounting element (8) of the hinge and with its upper and lower end (15,16) is supported guided on the upper and lower inner boundary surfaces (17,18) of the mounting element (8),
    wherein an end region of the lug (7) engaging in the mounting element (8) and boundary surfaces (13,14) of the mounting element (8) arranged parallel to one another are in mutual operative connection via a mounting part (10) extending parallel to the hinge axis (4) and formed at the end region of the lug (7) with surfaces (11,12) of arcuate cross-section, and wherein the lug (7) has an adjusting screw (19) for pivoting and locating it inside the mounting element (8),
    characterised in that alternatively to the mounting part (10) the end region of the lug (7) and the two boundary surfaces (13,14) are in mutual operative connection with surfaces of arcuate cross-section) via abutment webs (27,28) with an arcuate termination, which are formed on the boundary surfaces (13,14) formed opposite the substantially flat-shaped lug (7), in that a transverse-adjustment assembly is provided between the lug (7) and the mounting element (8) to effect adjustment of the lug (7) transversely to the hinge axis (4), and also a vertical-adjustment assembly effecting vertical adjustment of the mounting element (8) is associated therewith, in that the mounting element (8) is formed from a base part (21) and a cover element (22), wherein the base part (21) has one of the boundary surfaces (13) for supporting the mounting part (10) and the two upper and lower boundary surfaces (17,18) for supporting the upper and lower ends (15,16) of the lug (7), and wherein the second boundary surface (14) for supporting the mounting part (10) is formed by the inside of the cover element (22),
    in that the base part (21) is provided above and below the space formed to accommodate the lug (7) with grooves (23,24) aligned parallel to the hinge axis (4), wherein sleeves (25) of the hinge arranged on the hinge pocket (5) are provided, which pass through the grooves (23,24) of the base part (21) in a direction parallel to the hinge axis (4), and
    in that as the vertical-adjustment assembly for the base part (21) and also the lug (7) pins (37) of the base part (21) are provided which can be supported on the hinge pocket (5) and which can be adjusted vertically via a further adjusting screw (38), wherein the base part (21) of the mounting element (8) can be displaced along the sleeves (25) during the vertical adjustment.
  2. A hinge according to Claim 1, characterised in that the mounting element (8) is inserted or can be inserted together with the mounted lug (7) into the hinge pocket (5) from the front side of the door frame (6) and is screwed or can be screwed to the bottom (20) of the hinge pocket (5).
  3. A hinge according to Claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the sleeves (25) are provided with an internal thread, wherein the fastening of the mounting element (8) to the hinge pocket (5) is effected via screws (26) engaging through the cover element (22) into the sleeves (25).
  4. A hinge according to any one of the preceding Claims, characterised in that the mounting part (10) is formed by webs which project on both sides from the end region of the lug (7) into the mounting element (8) and which each have surfaces (11,12) of arcuate cross-section.
  5. A hinge according to Claim 4, characterised in that the two arcuate surfaces (11,12) are together sections of a single circular arc.
  6. A hinge according to any one of Claims 1 to 5, characterised in that the entire mounting part (10) is in the form of a cylindrical thickening of the lug (7).
  7. A hinge according to any one of the preceding Claims, characterised in that a threaded rod (31) inserted into an opening (30) in the lug (7) is provided as the transverse-adjustment assembly for adjusting the lug (7) with respect to the mounting element (8) transversely to the hinge axis (4), which threaded rod engages in a threaded nut (32) retained rotatably but not able to slide in the mounting element (8).
  8. A hinge according to Claim 7, characterised in that on its outer boundary the threaded nut (32) has radial bores (33) for applying an adjusting tool.
  9. A hinge according to any one of the preceding Claims, characterised in that the adjusting screw (19) for pivoting and locating the lug (7) in the mounting element (8) passes through the lug (7) and is supported with its end on the mutually opposite boundary surfaces (13,14) of the mounting element (8).
  10. A hinge according to Claims 1,7 and 9, characterised in that both the threaded nut (32) and the adjusting screw (19) are freely accessible via openings (35,36) in the cover element (22).
