Abstract

Description

The invention relates generally to display stands in automatic deployment and reinforced structure.

It is known to make display stands that can be quickly used at the point of sale, in supermarkets, in stores specialized or advertising. In particular, advertising displays on Place of Sale, or POS, are generally made of cardboard and allow receive articles for their presentation for sale. These displays have a size, shape and aesthetic appearance specifically to the product. The speed of assembly is an important factor because these locations are most often mobile. The display therefore participates actively to the surprise effect and provides a significant competitive advantage for the products presented.

In addition, the need to exploit the entire ground surface granted led manufacturers to design a number of POS for a presentation of the products distributed on different Heights.

However, these displays are designed primarily for expose the products in order to maximize occupancy of the space available, and little attention is given to the strength, resistance to charging, maintaining in position, setting up and storing the display.

Indeed, these displays, like those described in the patent documents FR 2 233 912, FR 2 760 880 and FR 2 776 105, present, once deployed through especially elastics so to mount and join the flanks, in the form of a vertical tube more or less high, of which at least one face serves as support for objects or a publicity. A kind of easel is provided at the foot of the display in order to stabilize once mounted. This bridge is automatically deployable when mounting the display stand, be independent and connected to the display by a linkage of the tongue / slot type. The easel is usually presented under the shape of at least one foot, and preferably two feet, extending perpendicular to the front and back walls of the display. Now, on the one hand this extra piece makes the display stand more complex and expensive to realize, and on the other hand the stabilization obtained is not very effective, or else it is necessary provide very long, unsightly feet that require a lot of material and impractical to ride.

Thus, to solve these problems, especially that of the stability, the invention proposes to make a deployment display automatic whose pyramidal shape makes it possible to do without feet stabilization.

More precisely, the subject of the invention is a display rack automatic deployment and reinforced structure including, in its state deployed, a hollow support column formed of planar faces comprising at least one front face, a first and a second side face and a rear face, so as to form a pseudo pyramidal structure truncated, the rear face being provided with elastic tension means allowing the automatic display of the display and its deployed position, in a substantially vertical position of use of said display resting on the ground on its base, and in which at least the face front is inclined towards the rear face with respect to the vertical, the two lateral faces being wider at the base than at their summit.

The embodiment described in the present application patent refers in a non-limiting manner to a display obtained with the aid of cardboard sheets, corrugated or not, or strong paper.

Figure 1 shows plan view in its unfolded form flattened, a display rack 10 according to the present invention extending between a base 12 and a vertex 14.

This display unit 10 consists of a main sheet 20 corrugated cardboard called double-sided, known type, that is to say under the form of a sandwich comprising, superimposed one above the other others, an outer plane sheet, micro waves, a flat sheet central, small undulations parallel to the microwaves, and a last outer plane sheet. This sheet 20 comprises different faces delimited by fold lines.

Thus, the sheet 20 comprises a front face 22, a first side lateral face 24a a second side face 24b and two pairs 26 and 28 of flaps forming a rear face 25 (see Figures 4 and 5).

In the embodiment shown, the front face 22 has the shape of a rectangle measuring about 2000 mm in length, that is to say the height once the display rack 10 deployed and placed vertically on the ground on its base, on 450 mm of width.

The lateral faces 24a and 24b have substantially a shape triangular and are located in the extension of the front face 22, of both sides of it, while being delimited by fold lines 23a and 23b extending the entire length of the front face 22 and said faces lateral 24a and 24b.

The first pair of flaps 26 is located closest to the base 12 of the display 10. This first pair 26 comprises a first flap lower 26a connected to the first face 24a and delimited by a fold line 25a and a second lower flap 26b connected to the second side face 24b and delimited by a line of folding 23b.

The first lower flap 26a has, at least locally, for example by widening, a width greater than that of the second lower flap 26b and substantially the same width as that of the face 22. By way of example, the width of the first lower flap 26a is about 440 mm while the width of the front face 22 is 450 mm. For issues of reducing the area of cardboard to use, and for reduce the cost of the display 10, the first lower flap 26a is reported, for example by gluing, on the first side face 24a.

The first lower flap 26a is provided with a first slot longitudinal 30 having two opposite hooking tabs 30a and 30b and a second slot 32 parallel to the second slot 30 but devoid of paws. The second lower flap 26b is provided with a third slot longitudinal 34 having two opposite hooking tabs 34a and 34b. As described below, these tabs serve to hang means elastic tension 60 (see Figures 5 to 7).

The second pair of flaps 28 is located closer to the top 14 of the display 10. This second pair 28 of flaps comprises a first upper flap 28a connected to the second side face 24b and delimited by a folding line 27b, and a second upper flap 28b connected to the first lateral face 24a and delimited by a fold line 27a. The first flap 28a has, at least locally, a greater width than that of the second upper flap 28b, and substantially the same width as that of the front face 22.

The first upper flap 28a is provided with a first slot longitudinal 40 having two opposite hooking tabs 40a and 40b and a second slot 42 parallel to the second slot 40 but devoid of paws. The second upper flap 28b is provided with a third slot longitudinal 44 having two opposite hooking tabs 44a and 44b. As described below, these tabs serve to hang means of elastic tension 60 (see Figures 5 to 7).

For resistance of the legs to rubber bands, the corrugated sheet 20 also has flutes (no represented) which extend transversely, that is to say from a rim 26a or 28a at the opposite edge 26a or 28b, crossing the lateral faces 24a and 24b and the front face 22 substantially perpendicular to the height of the display. Once the display stand 10 placed on the ground in a vertical position, these flutes therefore extend horizontally.

As can be seen in FIGS. 2, 3 and 4 representing the display 10 once deployed seen in perspective, front and side, said rack 10 forms a hollow column in the form of a section cylinder rectangular narrowing from its base 12 to its summit 14.

The display stands initially folded in a carton of transport, the lateral faces 24a and 24b and the rear face 25 being folded down longitudinally and folded transversely along double lines of folding, 1 a, and 1b (Figure 1). During deployment, by taking control of the user at the top 14 and prompt elevation of the latter, the transverse unfolding and longitudinal deployment of the leaf are caused automatically by gravity and elasticity of the tensioning means 60.

The front face 22 is inclined relative to the vertical, that is to say it leans towards the rear face 25 from the base 12 towards the top 14 of the display 10. This inclined shape thus makes it possible to give the display 10 a good base, much higher than that of the displays of the prior art, whether or not provided with a shaped foot easel. The weight distribution is also improved by displacement of the center of gravity, making the display of the present The invention is significantly less sensitive to tilting. This display 10 can to withstand loads higher than those of known displays, all occupying a reduced footprint and therefore more economical.

For this purpose, the display 10 comprises, on its front face 22, superposed shelves 50 extending over at least part of the width 10 and for example to receive compact disks or CD-ROMs. These shelves 50 are foldable at their sides by the intermediary of folding lines 54 reentrant oriented at 45 ° to occupy the less space possible once the display rack 10 folded. The shelves 50 are in this case reported on the front face 22 and have side tabs (not referenced) inserted into slots 55 of the 10. The shelves 50 simplify the automation of the deployment of the display 10 by their design of the type "bell box" four glued corners. Thus, when the shelves 50 are fixed on the face front 22, they create an extra thickness causing tension in the carton to give a spring effect and allow the shelves to open partially, the weight of the product placed in it completing to open them totally.

Due to the inclined shape of the front face 22 of the display 10, the shelves 50, especially those placed highest, do not not exceed the area occupied by base 12 of the display rack 10, whereas in all the vertical displays of the prior art, the shelves, or trays, not only exceed the column, and therefore occupy the place it unnecessarily, but still shift the center of gravity of the display and thus make it even less stable once filled.

From an aesthetic point of view, the "facing" of the display stand in accordance with the present invention is also better suited to good visualization of the product or advertising it carries thanks to the inclination towards the back of his front.

The setting volume and display thus obtained is fast and almost instantaneous, without an assistant mechanism, with manipulation extremely simple. It just remains for the user to fill it with products to market.

For this, elastic tension means 60 presenting itself in the form of elastic reminder 62 and 64 are used, as is visible on the detail views of Figures 6 and 7 and on the back view of the figure 5.

Thus, the return elastic 62 clings to the legs 30a and 30b of the first slot 30 of the first lower flap 26a and on the legs 34a and 34b of the third slot 34 of the second lower flap 26b while inserting into the second slot 32 of the first lower flap 26a in order to press the flaps 26a and 26b against each other, with the second lower flap 26b partially covering the first lower flap 26a.

Similarly, the elastic 64 clings on the legs 40a and 40b of the first slot 30 of the first upper flap 28a and on the legs 44a and 44b of the third slot 34 of the second upper flap 28b while inserting in the second slot 32 of the first lower flap 26a to press the flaps 28a and 28b against each other, with the second upper flap 28b partially covering the first upper flap 28a.

When the use of the display is no longer justified, it is very it is easy for the user to store it in a case provided for this purpose and adapted to dimensions of the folded display. Depending on the resistance required by the quantity and type of products to be presented, or according to the advertising presentation, the sheets used can be replaced by single-sided cardboard, compact, known flexible plastic material, such as PVC, extruded polypropylene or full, forex, polystyrene, a composite material, a thin metal and low density such as aluminum or an aluminum-based alloy, etc.

This automatic display rack with shelves allows and to present in store in a particularly advantageous way other products than compact discs or CD-ROMs, for example audio or video tapes, DVDs, books, frames, games videos, toys and all products adapted to the shape and capacity of the shelves provided, which are of course also modifiable in their size, number and position.

Shelves can be added on the side faces on the back of the display and may have different shapes and dimensions.

The shelves can, depending on the chosen material and the load to support, be mounted on the display by snapping, gluing, screwing welding, etc.

Any type of support accessory can be adapted on the face before instead of shelves, such as pins, so that the products can be conveniently presented and easily captured by a client or a user (department manager).

Elastics, springs, micro-cylinders or any other system may be associated with the shelf or support replacing it for also facilitate its deployment and automatic folding.

The corrugated corrugations can be arranged vertically when the products to be presented are very heavy, but it is necessary in this case to provide a cardboard having a good resistance at the level of slits and tie-down tabs of the return elastics, or else to add reinforcement means in these areas under stress.

The tension of the return elastics must be sufficient to resist stretching between the two pairs of flaps when the display stand is flattened, but this tension should not be too strong to avoid tear off the cardboard at the slots and legs. Elastics can be doubled for each pair of flaps or replaced by any tension system such as a cylinder, a spring, etc.

It is possible to connect two identical displays back to back, for example by gluing or connecting them with elastics, preferably internally at their respective backs.
