A floor nozzle with the features described above is known for example from the publications DE 298 12 377 U1, EP 0 898 924 A and the US design patent 333 539. Floor nozzles of the structure described have been proven in practice for teats that are used in the home, and are universally applicable both on smooth floors and on textile coverings. However, the known designs are designed for high-performance suckers and not yet optimized in terms of their flow pressure losses.

Against this background, the invention has the object to minimize the flow pressure loss in a floor nozzle for household vacuum cleaner.

Based on a floor nozzle with the features described above, the object is achieved in that the distance of Saugmundkanten along the working width does not fall below a minimum value of 23 mm and that the discharge opening in the suction mouth has a minimum cross section of 1,000 mm 2 . The teaching according to the invention combines a wide suction mouth, that is to say a suction mouth with a large suction mouth spacing, with a large discharge opening within the suction mouth.

According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the flow cross section of the outflow opening is greater than the measured in a sectional plane through the pivot axis channel cross section of the Saugrohranschlussstückes. This is preferably in turn formed larger than the cross section of a tubular end of the Saugrohranschlussstückes. The invention is based on the consideration that in the air flow within the floor nozzle from entry into the suction mouth to the outlet at the rear end of the Saugrohranschlussstückes throttle points with a small cross-section as well as discontinuous cross-sectional extensions are to be avoided in order to minimize flow pressure losses. A preferred embodiment according to the invention therefore provides that the suction channel and the Saugrohranschlussstück form a means for guiding the suction air stream, the cross-section of which tapers approximately steadily from the discharge opening to the tubular end. This ensures that the flow is accelerated uniformly and not locally delayed, whereby the friction losses of the flow and thus the pressure loss are particularly small. Overall, it is possible by the teaching of the invention to work at a constant suction flow with a significantly reduced suction blower power.

In order to minimize leaks, seals are expediently provided on the tilting joint, for example in the form of integrally formed sealing lips. In addition, it is expedient, the Saugmundkanten as a continuous bars without forming depressions. If thread lifters are arranged on the sliding sole of the floor nozzle, these are then limited accordingly by continuous high suction mouth edges. In order to further minimize the intake of incorrect air, lateral openings of the floor nozzle for edge extraction are preferably dimensioned as small as possible.

The floor nozzle according to the invention is adapted to vacuum cleaners with a low suction power. Usually, the vacuum cleaner contain an air-permeable bag for dust separation. Among other things, the suction power effective on a floor nozzle depends on the permeability of the bag and the degree of filling of the bag. When using very air-permeable, especially unpolluted bag and / or when using a Staubsauggerätes with too high suction capacity there is a risk that the floor nozzle sucks when sucking high-pile textile floor coverings on the floor covering. This can be counteracted by the fact that at the floor nozzle itself or on the suction pipe, a secondary air opening is provided with an automatic negative pressure setting, which responds when an impermissible negative pressure occurs and prevented by defined inlet of external air that sets in the suction too high a vacuum.

The floor nozzle can have a vertically moveable bristle carrier plate which can be actuated by means of a switching mechanism and which is equipped with front and rear bristle strips, a circumferential bristle ring or else with a combination of bristle strips and sealing lips.

According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the suction mouth edges are arranged on this entire length at a distance of 25 to 30 mm from each other. The outflow opening can have a substantially rectangular flow cross-section, which is preferably more than 1200 mm 2 having. Conveniently, a roller or wheels are arranged on the rear, the Saugrohranschlussstück receiving end of the suction channel. The sliding sole is located on the floor covering when vacuuming textile floor coverings.

The basic structure of the floor nozzle for household vacuum cleaner shown in the figures includes a sliding sole 1, which has a working width AB of at least 250 mm and a molded suction mouth 2 with a centrally arranged in the embodiment discharge opening 3. The floor nozzle furthermore has a suction channel 4 adjoining the outflow opening 3 and a suction pipe connecting piece 5, which is inserted into the suction channel 4 so as to be pivotable about a horizontal axis 6. The Saugrohranschlussstück 5 serves to connect a suction tube 7, which is connected by a hose with a vacuum cleaner. The suction mouth 2 is formed as a trough-shaped depression, which from a front and rear suction mouth edge 8, 8 'is limited. It contains no divider or other subdivisions. The sliding sole 1 has a bottom sliding surface 9 adjoining the rear suction mouth edge 8 '.

In the embodiment shown in Fig. 1, the sliding sole 1 is connected to a suction head 10 which is connected to a pivotable about a horizontal axis 11 to the suction channel 4. At the rear end of the suction channel 4 impellers 12 are arranged. Within the suction head, a vertically movable support plate 13 is arranged, are attached to the bristle strips 14 or a circumferential bristle ring. By means of an actuating switch 15, the bristle carrier plate 13 is adjustable and thereby the bristle strips 14 on the underside of the suction head 10 and extendable.

In the embodiment of FIG. 3, the suction channel 4 is firmly formed on a suction head 10 '. The soleplate 1 is also firmly connected to the suction head 10 '. Within the suction head 10 ', a support plate 13 is provided which is vertically adjustable by means of an actuating switch 15 and is equipped on the underside with bristle strips or bristle ring. At the rear end of the suction channel 4 and the suction head impellers or a central roller 12 'are provided in the form of a roller.

In order to ensure the least possible ingress of foul air, the suction mouth edges 8, 8 'are formed continuously without depressions. From FIGS. 2 and 4 it can be seen that thread lifters 16 are arranged on the sliding sole, which are delimited by the continuously high suction mouth edges 8, 8 '. Furthermore, each small openings 17 are provided for Randabsaugung at the ends of the suction mouth 2.

In the case of the floor nozzles according to the invention, the suction mouth edges 8, 8 'delimiting the suction mouth 2 have a spacing S which does not fall below a minimum value of 23 mm along the working width AB. In the exemplary embodiment, the suction mouth edges are arranged at a distance S of 25 to 27 mm and substantially parallel to one another. The outflow opening 3 preferably has a substantially rectangular cross section and has a minimum cross section of 1,000 mm 2 . A flow cross section of more than 1,200 mm 2 is preferred. In this case, the flow cross-section of the discharge opening 3 is greater than the measured in a sectional plane through the pivot axis 6 channel cross section of the Saugrohranschlussstückes 5. The measured in the sectional plane through the pivot axis 6 channel cross section of the Saugrohranschlussstückes 5 is in turn greater than the cross section of an angle formed as an end piece 18 at the suction tube 7 is connected. The suction channel 4 and the Saugrohranschlussstück 5 form a device for guiding the suction air stream, whose cross-section tapers approximately steadily from the discharge opening to the tubular end of the Saugrohranschlussstückes 5. However, design-related throttle points and extensions, which are less than 10% based on the flow channel cross-section, are tolerable and should be included in the subject of the invention. On the way from the discharge opening within the suction mouth to the tubular end of the Saugrohranschlussstückes a uniform acceleration of the air flow is sought, whereby a minimization of the flow pressure losses can be achieved.
