  • the lid 16 may be hinged (not shown) to the upper frame 15 for securing a correct positioning when being closed.
  • a connector 23 is arranged between the lid 16 and the upper frame 15 between the lid 16 and the upper frame 15.
  • the connector 23 rests on a rubber sealing 24 and is held in place by the locked lid 16 against the super-atmospheric pressure inside the chamber 2.
  • the force exerted on the connector 23 is substantial such that a solid construction of the lid is necessary in order to prevent the connector to break.
  • the connector 23 is constructed fragile, in order to save material, the solid construction of the lid is important.
  • the connector 23 has a tubing 8 with a first part 9 inside the chamber for connection to a container (not shown) inside the chamber 2 and a second part 10 outside the chamber 2 for connection to a hose.
  • the second part 10 may be equipped with a Lure- lock, which is generally used for medical equipment.
  • the first part may 9 be sharp- ened, as shown in Fig. 4 for easy transpiercing a rubber sealing of a collapsible container.
  • the connector 23 may thus be connected to the container by pushing the sharpened second part 9 through the rubber sealing of the collapsible container, after which the container is placed inside the chamber 2 and the connector 23 is put in place resting on the sealing 24. Thereafter, the lid 16 is closed pressing the connector 23 downwards on the sealing 24 and locking the lever 20 by turning the handle 19 such that the three indentations 21 are enganged with the heads 22 for keeping the lid 16 in place. Best seen on Fig. 2, the lid has got a recess 25 leaving space for the second part 10 of the tubing 8.
  • the connector 23 may be produced by a material of low cost and for medical use be provided in a sterile package for one way use each time a new container is placed in the chamber 2. Also the container to be placed in the chamber 2 may be sterile or at least the rubber sealing to be transpierced could be sterile. Thus, the sharpened part 9 and the rubber sealing would then be sterile when used, which in medical applications may be desired.
  • a connector 23 for one way use it is desirable that only a small amount of material is used for the production, even in the case, where the material can be recycled.
  • the lid 16 is solid enough to support the connector 23 sufficiently that even a thin walled connector 23 can be used at super- atmospheric pressure.
  • the first part 9 of the tubing 8 may in addition, or alternatively to the sharpened part, be conical for easy engagement with a flexible pipe, because some containers to be placed in the chamber may not be equipped with a rubber sealing to the penetrated, but have instead a flexible pipe attached. Other containers again have a neck at the upper part of which a part can be broken off. The remaining part of the neck has a hole into which the conical first part 9 may be pressed to obtain a sealed connection between the connector and the remaining part of the neck.
  • the connector 23 and/or the cylindrical wall 13 of the chamber 2 may be made of a transparent material, for example a polymer such as polycarbonate which can be recy- cled. In this case, it is easy to verify how much liquid is left in the container.
  • the end cap and the lid is metal, for example steel or aluminium, and polymers. However, this list is in no way exhaustive.
  • the chamber 2 may be connected to a mount 28, which however may have various other forms dependent on the desired function.
  • FIG. 5 A different embodiment is illustrated in Fig. 5, where the chamber 2' contains a container 24 supported by hanging on a hook 25. Also shown in Fig. 5 is the supply tube 4 entering the chamber 2' through the lid 16' and the hose 7' for receipt of the second fluid, in this case a liquid, from the container 24.
  • FIG. 6 A further embodiment is shown in Fig. 6, where the container 24 is placed in a chamber with a back wall 26 and a transparent front wall 27 that can be opened for giving access to the chamber 2.
  • the invention is primarily intended for medical use, for example flushing of peripheral organs.
