Abstract

The assembly has a gripping handle (26) which is connected to a metallic ring (20). Claims (17)

  1. A packaging assembly of the type comprising :
    - a metal ring (20) of axis X-X provided for crimping to a base body (12) of the packaging that, in the assembled state, defines an access opening (22) to the package, and
    - a handle (26, 28, 42) connected at the metal ring (20) and deployable between a position in which it is retracted into the ring (20) and a projecting position for taking hold of said ring (20),
    the assembly being characterized in that the handle (26, 28, 42) is connected at an annulus of plastics material (54) crimped on the metal ring (20).
  2. A packaging assembly according to claim 1, characterized in that the annulus (54) comprises feet (34, 36), the handle (26,28, 42) being hinged to said feet (34, 36).
  3. A packaging assembly according to any of claims 1 and 2, characterized in that the handle (26, 28, 42) comprises at least one portion (28, 42) forming a grip, provided with two ends (30, 32, 44, 46) hinged to the annulus (54) .
  4. A packaging assembly according to any of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the metal ring (20) is provided with an outer margin (20E) and with an inner margin (201), the annulus (54) being crimped to the ring (20) via the inner margin (20I) .
  5. A packaging assembly according to claims 1 and 2 altogether, characterized in that the feet (34, 36) are crimped between the inner margin (201) and the central portion (20C) of the metal ring (20).
  6. A packaging assembly according to claims 3 and 4 altogether, characterized in that the annulus (54) has a diameter substantially identical to the diameter of the inside margin (201) of the ring (20) and has a diameter that is smaller than the inner outline of the portion (28, 42) forming a grip.
  7. A packaging assembly according to any of claims 4 to 6, characterized in that the annulus (54) includes a fastener projection (56) to the ring (20) extending substantially parallel to the axis (X-X) of the ring (20) and the inner margin (201) of the ring is rolled outwards covering said fastener projection (56) radially and axially.
  8. A packaging assembly according to claim 7, characterized in that the inner margin (201) includes an edge (23), and in that said edge (23) cuts into a portion of the fastener projection (56).
  9. A packaging assembly according to claim 7 or 8, characterized in that the fastener projection (56) is crimped axially by the inner margin (20I).
  10. A packaging assembly according to any of claims 4 to 9, characterized in that the metal ring (20) has a central portion (20C) extending substantially radially relative to the axis X-X, and in that the inner margin (201) extends from the central portion (20C) axially towards the outside of the package.
  11. A packaging assembly according to claims 2 and 3 altogether, characterized in that the portion forming a grip (28, 42) and the feet are made of plastic materials.
  12. A packaging assembly according to claim 11, characterized in that the portion forming a grip (28, 42) and the feet (34, 36) are made as a single piece, the portion having at each end a small thickness part forming hinge means (34, 40, 48, 50).
  13. A packaging assembly according to any of claims 1 to 12, characterized in that the handle (26, 28, 42) is made of plastics material.
  14. A package comprising an assembly according to any one of the claims 1 to 13.
  15. A method of manufacturing an assembly according to any one of claims 1 to 13, characterized by the following steps:
    - making a metal ring (20) of axis X-X with an inner margin (201) defining in the assembled state an opening giving access to the package,
    - making an handle (26, 28, 42) comprising at least one portion (28, 42) forming a grip,
    - making an annulus (54) made in plastics material,
    - engaging the annulus (54) by going past a rim (70) formed by the inner margin of the ring (201) which is not rolled,
    - rolling the inner margin of the ring (201) outwards, until the inner margin of the ring (201) crimps the annulus (54) .
  16. A method of manufacturing according to claim 15, characterized by rolling the inner margin (20I) of the ring (20) axially outwards until the inner margin (201) crimps the annulus (54) axially.
  17. A method of manufacturing according to any one of the claims 15 to 16 of an assembly according to claim 7 or according to any claim dependent on claim 7, the method being characterized in that the inner margin (201) is rolled until the fastener projection (56) is crimped axially.
