Abstract

The pool has a sundeck with profiled sections (11) overlapping an upper edge of a rigid wall between two consecutive posts (5). Rigid plates (17) are placed on upper surface of the posts, where ends (14) of the sections are placed on the plates. Fixation cradles (18) are placed on the plates and screwed on the upper surface. Each cradle has a stud (25) and an elastic strap (22) engaged in voids (15, 16) of the sections.

Description

The present invention relates in a generally the above-ground rigid-walled pools, and she more specifically concerns improvements brought to above-ground pools with at least one rigid wall supported by posts or uprights, a curb being provided on at least a part of the periphery of the swimming pool.

It is known to equip the upper edge of the wall of an above-ground pool with a profile that part, form protection to prevent people from getting injure on this generally thin upper edge and which, on the other hand, improves the aesthetic appearance of the pool. The means implemented according to the invention are structurally simple, the component parts can be mass-produced at low cost, and these means are effective because they allow to put in place, with means of assembly not or little visible, a coping that can possibly be salient transversely beyond the wall of the pool, which is mechanically resistant and on which one can in particular, to support or even to place a child without is damaged.

The arrangements according to the invention may find an application whatever the constitution of the wall of the swimming pool, and in particular when the a wall is formed of panels that are joined together to the rest of the others by said posts.

The arrangements according to the invention may so find an interesting application in the case a swimming pool with at least one wall, having then a sensible thickness, made of wooden panels or in a material with the appearance of wood (and which can be formed for example by stacking planks) which are joined one after the other by posts or posts at least partly made of wood or presenting the appearance of the wood. In this case, the provisions according to the invention may also find a application for a pool that has a wall metallic interior, an outer cladding wall made of wood panels or a material presenting the appearance of wood, and poles with mixed structure with metallic inner part and wooden outer part or in a material having the appearance of wood, posts bridging both walls at the same time solidarise the panels of the outer wall to each following the others, and said profiled sections of rim are each clean to overlap both the inner wall and the outer wall. A fortiori the provisions of the invention can be all particularly interesting in the case of a swimming pool double wall as described in document FR 2 843 769, which has an inner wall formed of panels metal, an outer cladding wall formed of panels of wood or material having the appearance of wood, and poles or uprights with mixed structure with metallic inner part and wooden outer part or in a material having the appearance of wood, poles bridging the respective panels of the two walls at the same time that they solidarize them to each following others, said profiled sections of coping being each clean to overlap both a panel inside and an outside panel. We are then in the favorable case where the double wall represents a substantial, even substantial thickness, which facilitates effective support of the coping.

Preferably, in the context of this invention the profiled sections of coping are made of wood or a material having the appearance wood.

Advantageously, each flange comprises tabs opposing sides that are fit to engage in respective alveoli of the confronted ends of two adjacent sections which are arranged to exert an elastic force in said cells to maintain said profiled sections in relative position correct in the transverse direction.

Simply, each flange has studs opposing sides which are suitable for fitting into respective alveoli of the confronted ends of two adjacent sections in order to maintain said ends in a relative position vertical correct.

Thanks to the combination of the two provisions above, we are able to position perfectly two successive profile sections both vertically than horizontally, which leads to a good visual appearance of the coping. In addition, this precise relative positioning is obtained without the connecting members being apparent.

In a preferred embodiment, each flange has a U-shaped body with longitudinal wings whose ends are folded outwards for form the aforesaid legs, the two legs located at a same end of the flange forming an angle between them substantially equal to the angle formed between them two consecutive panels of the walls. In addition, we can then provide, in a simple way, that the two longitudinal wings each flange is pierced with at least two holes respective and that a rod is engaged through these holes by going beyond the outside and beyond two wings, the protruding portions of the stem forming two studs opposite. Such a flange can then be advantageously metallic, in particular formed by a metal plate cut-folded or formed of metal injected, so that it is mechanically resistant and it can be manufactured in large series.

It will also be emphasized that the implementation of means according to the invention, and in particular the flange mentioned above, allows a simple adaptation the exact outline of the pool, including an adaptation to the angle formed between them two consecutive panels in according to the number of these panels, that is to say in function of the precise polygonal shape of the pool.

To complete the aesthetic appearance of the coping, a casing can be provided to cover the connecting flange.

The means according to the invention can suitable for all configurations that we want give the rim, that it extends only on a portion of the perimeter of the pool or that it extends on the whole periphery.

In the following description in connection with the attached drawings, reference is made more specifically to the type Double-walled above-ground pool described in the document FR 2 843 769, because it is a privileged domain, although non-exclusive, application of the provisions of the invention.

As illustrated in Figure 1, an above-ground pool of this type has an inner wall 1 formed of metal panels 2 arranged in a closed contour, in polygonal principle, this inner wall being mechanically resistant to oppose the push of water, and an outer wall 3 formed of panels 4 in wood or a material with the appearance of wood ( may be solid panels or preferably panels formed of a pile of planks), this wall outer being essentially for dressing. Poles 5 with mixed structure, with inner part 6 metal and outer part 7 of wood or in one material with the appearance of wood, cooperate with the ends of the panels of both walls and the brace so that both walls remain spaced apart from each other so that the wood or material presenting the appearance of the wood is not in contact with water or condensation moisture appearing on the metal walls.

The coping we want to equip the pool above is formed of profiled sections consisting of any suitable material, preferably wood or a material with the appearance of wood to match visually with the cladding wall. In Figure 2 is represented the end of such a profiled section of lip 11, made of a material having the appearance wood. The profile 11 comprises a plate 12 and two longitudinal wings 13 in return down. The face end 14 shows various cells, which may extend over the entire length of section 11.

In particular, we note the presence, in two wings or the right of the two wings 13, two cells 15 which preferably have a section of elongated form vertically. We will also note the presence of two cells 16 spaced apart from each other and having a horizontally elongate section.

Of course, many solutions can be envisaged for the conformation of the sections of coping 11. In particular, if one wishes to form a rim of wide, one can foresee juxtaposing several (for example two) edge-to-edge profiled sections for get the desired width.

In Figure 4 is illustrated in a cavalier view connection arrangement of two sections of coping as shown in Figure 2, these two sections of margins being presented separated from each other so that other elements of the connection arrangement are visible.

In Figure 4 we see the two panels 4 surrounding the outer portion 7 of a pole 5. On the upper face of the pole 5 is mounted a platinum 17 substantially rigid, for example in form a metal plate, which forms a bearing surface relatively flat and stable and of which at least lateral dimensions can possibly be greater than those of the upper face of the post 5.

On the plate 17 is mounted a connecting flange 18 which is in the form of an elongated piece extending approximately along the bisector of the angle between the two panels 4 as well as the two sections of coping 11.

The connecting flange 18, which is shown for above in FIG. 3, comprises a U-shaped body 19 having a substantially flat bottom 20 resting on the plate 17 and two wings 21 longitudinal. The ends of the wings 21 are folded out and form four legs respective elastics 22, the two legs 22 located at one end of the connecting flange 18 forming between they an angle substantially equal to the angle that form between them the two trim panels 4 and the two sections of coping 11.

The plate 17 and the connecting flange 18 are assembled, together, by screwing to the pole 5. For example, a hole 23 and a light 24 can be aligned with the threaded hole 9 shown in Figure 1 at the top of the inner part 6 of pole 5, while the other hole 23 and the other light 24 can be located next to the full area 25 visible in Figure 1 in the outer part 7 of the post 5.

Finally, the connecting flange 18 is equipped with studs 25 extending laterally. In the example illustrated in Figures 3 and 4, these studs 25 are in the number four, two to two opposite. In practice, you can provide that the wings 21 are pierced with holes vis-à-vis and that two rods 26 are engaged there to extend transversely, the ends of these stems outwardly exceed the wings 21 forming the aforesaid studs 25.

For it to be mechanically resistant, it is preferably that the connecting flange 18 is metallic, obtained for example by a cutting-folding operation and well by alloy injection molding metallic.

As shown in Figure 4, the assembly of sections of edge 11 is made by introducing the tabs 22 in the end cells 15, the tabs being in elastic support against the wall of the cells respective and leading to relative positioning correct sections of coping in the transverse direction, at the same time as the studs 25 are introduced into the alveoli 16 above: by giving the studs 25 a diameter substantially equal to the small size of cells 16, we then obtain a relative positioning of two consecutive sections of coping vertical direction; preferably we can also make sure that the spacing of the two rods 26 is such that the studs 25 engage in the cells 16 near the respective ends of these so as to create a mechanical stop limiting travel capacity transversal sections of coping.

In FIG. 5, the two sections of coping 11 are shown in completed mounting position, the legs 22 embedded in the cells 15 and the two sections 11 in stop against platinum 18.

In Figure 6, a casing 27 is put in place on the connecting flange 18 to camouflage it. In the example shown, the casing 27 is formed of a metal band shaped into correspondence with the shape of the outer contour of the plateau 12 and wings 13 of the lip portions 11; the housing housing 27 can then be screwed in 28 on tabs 29 provided at the ends of the flange of 18. characterized in that it comprises: profiled segments of coping (11), which are adapted to overlap the upper edge of the wall and whose length is in correspondence with the distance separating two consecutive columns (5), said profiled sections (11) comprising longitudinal cells (15, 16) opening into their respective end faces, rigid plates (17) resting on the upper faces of the posts (5), the facing ends (14) of two successive section sections (11) resting on a plate (17) at a distance from one another, and connecting flanges (18) adapted to rest respectively on said plates (17) and secured by screwing, through the corresponding plate, in the upper face of the posts (5), these flanges (18) each comprising means (22, 25) of transverse positioning and vertical securing adapted to engage in the aforementioned cells (15, 16) of two sections (11) facing to retain them in a correct relative position.
