Description

The present invention relates to an adaptable conveyor on a concrete mixer type of vehicle, and to such a vehicle equipped with such a conveyor.

Document is known EP-A-0 654 427 a conveyor comprising:
  • a chassis comprising:
    • a first rigid element movable about axes substantially vertical and horizontal with respect to said vehicle,
    • a second rigid element movable about a substantially horizontal axis with respect to said first rigid element,
  • a continuous conveyor belt extending on the top and bottom of said frame, and
  • means for circulating said conveyor belt on said frame.

In the transport position, such a conveyor can fold on the vehicle with which it is associated so as to have a minimum footprint, consistent with the requirements of regulatory vehicle template.

In the working position, such a conveyor can be deployed to deliver material from the vehicle, such as fresh concrete, to a suitable location on a construction site.

To date, conveyors of this type had the disadvantage of having a high weight (commonly 3 tons for a transport length of 16 meters), which had the effect of limiting their payload and requiring means actuation (hydraulic cylinders, in particular) of high jig.

The present invention is intended to overcome this disadvantage.

This object of the invention is achieved with an adaptable conveyor on a concrete mixer type vehicle, as defined by claim 1.

The closed box structure of the conveyor frame according to the invention gives the latter a much higher resistance than that of a conventional frame.

Thus, for a given dimension, the conveyor according to the invention allows a considerable lightening of the frame.

In addition, the trough form of the upper part of the box allows to receive and guide the conveyor belt without the need to resort to roller systems as is the case in the conveyors of the prior art.

This also contributes to the lightening of the frame, and therefore to the increase of the payload of the conveyor and the reduction of the template of the actuating means of this conveyor.

In addition, the box structure can accommodate bodies such as pipes and hydraulic cylinders necessary for the actuation of the conveyor, which allows on the one hand to protect these bodies, and on the other hand to obtain an aesthetic the conveyor according to the invention more sober than that of conveyors of the state of the art.

L'invention vise également un convoyeur tel que défini par la revendication 9.The invention also relates to a conveyor as defined by claim 9.

According to other optional features of the conveyor according to the invention:
  • at least part of the hydraulic means for actuating said conveyor are housed inside said box,
  • said casing is formed in less part of an aluminum-based alloy,
  • said casing is formed at least partly of composite materials,
  • said second rigid element is formed of two parts, one in closed box and the other in tube mounted telescopically in one another, and the part of which upper is shaped in a trough so as to receive and guide said conveyor belt,
  • said conveyor comprises a third rigid element movable about an axis substantially horizontal with respect to said second rigid element,
  • said third rigid element is formed of two parts, one in a closed box and the other in tubes mounted telescopically one inside the other, and whose upper part is shaped in a trough so as to receive and guide said conveyor belt .

The present invention also relates to a concrete mixer type vehicle equipped with a conveyor according to the foregoing.

We are now going back to figure 1 on which there is shown a concrete mixer type vehicle comprising, as is known per se, a router 3 for kneading a material such as fresh concrete.

This vehicle 1 is equipped with a conveyor 5 typically comprising, as is visible on the Figures 1 and 2 , a frame 6 formed of a plurality of rigid elements 7, 9, 11 hinged together about substantially horizontal axes 13, 15.

A continuous conveyor belt 17 extends over the top and bottom of the frame 6 and is driven by not shown displacement means so as to transport fresh concrete leaving the router 3 to the free end 19 of the conveyor on an appropriate site location.

Le premier élément 7 de ce convoyeur est lui-même monté mobile autour d'un axe sensiblement horizontal et autour d'un axe sensiblement vertical par rapport au véhicule 1.The first element 7 of this conveyor is itself mounted to move about a substantially horizontal axis and about a substantially vertical axis relative to the vehicle 1.

As is known per se, jack means 21, 23, 25 enable the conveyor 5 to be moved from the visible transport position to the figure 1 at a visible working position on the figure 2 and vice versa.

It should be noted here that the working position represented in figure 2 is only one position among other possible, these different working positions being obtained by changing the orientation of the frame 6 relative to the vehicle 1, and by changing the relative inclinations of the rigid elements 7, 9, 11.

We are now referring more specifically to Figures 3 to 5 on which we can see in more detail the structure of the chassis 6 of the conveyor 5.

As it clearly appears on the figure 5 , the structure of this frame is of the closed box type.

Ceci signifie qu'au moins l'un des trois éléments 7, 9, 11 présente une section transversale creuse délimitée par quatre parois 27a, 27b, 27c, 27d.This means that at least one of the three elements 7, 9, 11 has a hollow cross section delimited by four walls 27a, 27b, 27c, 27d.

As can be seen on the figure 5 , the upper wall 27d is shaped in the trough, that is to say it defines a kind of gutter adapted to receive and guide the conveyor belt not shown on the Figures 3 to 5 but bearing the reference 17 on the figure 1 .

Only the second element 9 has been represented on the Figures 4 and 5 , but it goes without saying that the three elements 7, 9 and 11 of the conveyor may have a box structure similar to that just described.

It should also be noted that Figures 3 to 5 a conveyor is shown having the particularity that its second 9 and third 11 elements are telescopic.

This result is obtained thanks to the fact that each of these elements is actually made up of two parts, one in closed box and the other in tube mounted telescopic one in the other.

Of course, the present invention also extends to a conveyor having only one or not at all of telescopic element, and having more or less than three elements articulated between them.

It will advantageously be noted that rollers 31a to 31f for supporting the conveyor belt are provided on the upper part of the conveyor only in the end regions of each of the elements 7 to 11.

Rollers 33a, 33b are also provided under the conveyor for returning the conveyor belt.

As can be remarked advantageously on the figure 5 Hydraulic control elements 35 telescopic movements and articulation of the conveyor can be accommodated in the hollow space defined by the boxes forming the elements 7 to 11.

Hydraulic control members 35 may typically include hydraulic cylinders and control lines.

Most of the structure of the elements 7, 9, 11 may be formed in a light metal alloy for example aluminum-based.

It is also possible to provide, on the sides of these elements, openings that can be obscured by housings 37a, 37b (see figure 4 ) formed in lightweight materials such as composite materials.

As can be understood in the light of the foregoing, the closed box structure of the frame 6 of the conveyor 5 gives the latter a much greater resistance than that of a conventional frame.

Thus, for a given dimension, the conveyor 5 can have a chassis 6 clearly lightened.

In addition, the trough shape of the upper part 27d (see figure 5 ) of the box allows to receive and guide the conveyor belt without the need to resort to roller systems as is the case in conveyors of the prior art.

We can therefore be satisfied with the rollers at the ends of each of the elements 7, 9, 11, which contributes to the lightening of the frame 6, and therefore to the increase of the payload of the conveyor 5 and the reduction of the template of the actuating means 21, 23, 25 (see figure 2 ) of this conveyor.

Moreover, as shown on the figure 5 , the box structure accommodates the members 35, and thus protect these organs while improving the aesthetics of the conveyor compared to a conventional conveyor.

Note that the fact of providing a lightweight metal alloy structure, and / or provide ajourements occulted by composite material housings, also contributes to the general lightening of the frame 6 of the conveyor.

The conveyor which has just been described allows a weight saving of about 500 to 700 kilos compared to a conventional conveyor, thereby increasing the payload available.

We are now going back to Figures 6 to 8 on which there is shown a device 39 for rotating the conveyor just described about a substantially vertical axis.

However, it goes without saying that this device 39 could be suitable for any other type of conveyor of the prior art.

La figure 3 indique l'emplacement de ce dispositif 39 par rapport au convoyeur 5.The figure 3 indicates the location of this device 39 with respect to the conveyor 5.

As shown in this figure, this device 39 is intended to be interposed between the first element 7 of this conveyor and a gantry 41 intended to be fixed on the vehicle 1.

At its other end, the support arm 43 comprises a bearing 47 with a substantially vertical axis A2 capable of receiving a base of circular section connected to the first element 7 of the conveyor.

As is visible on the Figures 7 and 8 , a pinion 49 having the same axis A2 as that of the bearing 47 is rotatably mounted inside the support arm 43.

Ce pignon 49 comporte de préférence deux rangées de dents 49a et 49b.This pinion 49 preferably comprises two rows of teeth 49a and 49b.

Le bras de support 43 comporte sur chacun de ses côtés une gorge 51 (voir figure 7).The support arm 43 has on each of its sides a groove 51 (see figure 7 ).

Dans chacune des gorges 51 s'étend la tige 53 d'un vérin respectif 55a, 55b.In each of the grooves 51 extends the rod 53 of a respective cylinder 55a, 55b.

At the free end of each of these rods are fastening means 57 for connecting these rods 51 to a chain not shown.

This chain therefore extends between the fixing means 57 of each of the cylinders 55a, 55b, by wrapping around the pinion 49.

When this pinion 49 comprises two rows of teeth 49a, 49b as shown, the corresponding chain is obviously adapted to cooperate with both rows of teeth.

As is visible on the Figures 6 and 8 a protective casing 59 formed for example in a metal alloy extends around the support arm 43 so as to cover the grooves 51 and the pinion 49, thereby enclosing the chain inside the support arm 43.

A fixed stop 61 is arranged in the gap E without chain (the chain only winds up on the part of the pinion 49 situated towards the outside of the support arm 43) separating the support arm 43 from the pinion 49, in the vicinity teeth 49a, 49b of this pinion.

As can be understood in the light of the foregoing, the two jacks 55a, 55b are capable of exerting counter-traction forces on the chain which passes around the pinion 49, thus making it possible to drive in rotation about a substantially vertical axis A2 the first element 7 of the conveyor 5, and therefore the entire conveyor.

The tensile forces exerted selectively by the cylinders 55a, 55b being very important, it is unfortunately not excluded that the chain which connects these two cylinders passing around the pinion 49 can break.

It will be understood that the presence of the protective casing 59 ensures that in case of breakage the chain remains inside the support arm 43, thus avoiding any whiplash detrimental to the safety of an operator.

On notera en outre que la butée fixe 61 permet d'éviter qu'en cas de rupture la chaîne s'enroule autour du pignon 49.It will further be noted that the fixed stop 61 makes it possible to prevent the chain from wrapping around the pinion 49 in the event of breakage.

It is therefore understood that the combined effects of this stop 61 and the protective housing 59 can block the rotation of the pinion 49 in case of breakage of the chain.

On se prémunit de la sorte contre tout mouvement de rotation incontrôlé du convoyeur 5 autour de l'axe vertical A2.This is prevented against any uncontrolled rotation of the conveyor 5 about the vertical axis A2.

Of course, the present invention is not limited to the embodiment described and shown provided by way of illustrative and non-limiting example.
