- Cone crushers and gyratory crushers are intended for mining or quarrying installations and are used to reduce the size of aggregates and ores to dimensions required for their subsequent use.

Its tightening in this position is effected by means of a blocking element constituted by a two-part screw, a blocking plate 16 whose diameter is at least equal to the outside diameter, at its upper part, of the cone formed by the jaw 4 and a threaded stud 13 secured to the plate by screws 17.
- a protective cover 23 of the heads of the screws 17 is also provided on the blocking plate and simply fixed thereon with a screw.
- the rotation of the jaw 4, during operation, relative to the head 5, provides a self-tightening of the part 16, 13 and thus makes it possible to maintain an adequate tightening despite the wear of the jaw.
- pins 14 are provided on the internal periphery of the jaw 4 at its upper opening.
- 15 shaped notches corresponding and in equal number are formed on the periphery of the locking plate 16. Notches and tenons are regularly distributed over said peripheries so as to mesh with one another.
