Abstract

The invention relates to an item of protective footwear comprising a profiled sole. The profiled sole comprises at least one section, which is optically distinguishable from the remaining part of the sole and which can be perceived when the profile has been subjected to a certain amount of wear. To this end, a safety feature is provided that instructs to the wearer of the item of protective footwear to replace the shoe when a certain minimum profile depth is reached.

Description

Sicherheitsschuh und Profilsohle für denselben Safety shoe and profile sole for the same
The present invention relates to a safety shoe with a tread sole, also a tread sole for such a shoe.
Sie sind daher mit entsprechenden Sicherheitsmerkmalen, wie Stahlkappen, Profilsohlen etc., ausgestattet .Safety shoes are required by certain people whose work requires appropriate protection of their feet. In addition, such safety shoes are intended to provide improved stability with a non-slip property of the person wearing them. They are therefore equipped with appropriate safety features such as steel caps, profile soles, etc.
Appropriate profile soles are an essential part of such safety shoes to prevent slipping. These profile soles fulfill their would exist in the new state, but will wear out more and more over time, depending on the prevailing conditions, so that ultimately a dangerous state arises in that the required safety against slipping is no longer achieved. If this condition is reached, the safety shoes can no longer be used, since modern shoes can no longer be replaced or a new sole attached. In practice, however, the appropriate time to replace the shoes is usually missed, be it due to carelessness, for cost reasons, etc., so that safety shoes with worn profiles that no longer offer the required slip resistance are worn.
Similar to car tires, a certain minimum tread depth is therefore required to ensure the necessary traction.
The present invention intends to remedy the problem described above. It is the object of the invention to create a safety shoe which has a safety feature which indicates when the required minimum tread depth has been reached, and also a tread sole for such a shoe.
This object is achieved according to the invention in a safety shoe with a tread sole in that the tread sole has at least one section which is optically distinguishable from the rest of the tread sole and which is recognizable when the tread is worn to a certain extent. The invention therefore provides a safety feature that notifies the user of the safety shoe as the profile of the sole becomes increasingly worn when the minimum tread depth that is still sufficient to provide slip resistance is reached and further wearing of the shoe becomes dangerous. The user therefore no longer has to estimate or precisely measure the tread depth in order to be able to determine the point in time at which the shoes can no longer be used. In addition, in most cases the user does not know at all which tread depth still offers sufficient security, so that the solution according to the invention also remedies this problem and, when the section which is optically distinguishable from the rest of the tread base becomes visible, makes it clear that a Replacing the shoe is appropriate.
The section provided according to the invention should differ visually from the rest of the profile sole, for example have a red color, so that the generally dark colored profile soles of safety shoes have a clearly recognizable safety feature. Of course, this does not exclude that differently colored sections can also be used according to the invention. It is essential that there is sufficient contrast to the rest of the profile sole.
The section provided according to the invention is in the unused state of the safety shoe and in the state the permissible profile wear is not recognizable. The wearer of the shoe knows that the tread sole still offers sufficient slip resistance. If the section provided according to the invention is exposed with increasing wear of the profile, the point in time at which an exchange of the shoe is necessary is reached.
The section provided according to the invention is preferably incorporated into the profile of the sole. It is expediently completely encased by a profile section or a profile strip, so that there is also a lateral covering of the section.
In a particularly preferred embodiment, the section according to the invention consists of a different material than the rest of the profile sole. This section of other material is preferably foamed into the sole during manufacture, so that there is an intimate bond with the remaining sole material and essentially no inhomogeneities occur in the sole, which could make it permeable or reduce the comfort of the shoe. A particularly suitable material for the section provided according to the invention is polyurethane, but also nitrile butadiene rubber or TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane).
It goes without saying that the profile soles described above are generally not worn evenly, depending on the type of use and the gait as well as the rolling motion of the foot. For example, the front area and heel area of the sole are particularly strong exposed to uses, while the middle sole area has an intact profile for a relatively long time. In order to do justice to these different possibilities of wear, the invention provides that the profiled sole has several sections which can be distinguished optically from the remaining part of the sole, so that even if the profiled sole is worn locally, care is taken to ensure that one which exceeds the permissible dimension Wear appears. The sections provided according to the invention are therefore preferably distributed over the sole at several points, so that in particular the critical areas of wear are detected.
It is therefore expedient to provide at least one section according to the invention, in particular in the tip region of the sole and in the heel region thereof.
The position of the section according to the invention in the depth direction of the sole depends on the permissible area of wear of the profile. It is essential that the section is arranged with its underside so that when it is exposed, i. Wear of the sole material underneath, the minimum permissible tread depth has been reached. The corresponding depth values can vary from application to application, so that numerical values are not given here.
Es zeigen:The above object is also achieved by a profile sole for such a shoe. The invention is explained in detail below using an exemplary embodiment in conjunction with the drawing. Show it:

Figur 2 einen mittigen Vertikalschnitt durch denFigure 2 is a central vertical section through the
Absatzbereich des in Figur 1 dargestellten Sicherheitsschuhs .Sales area of the safety shoe shown in Figure 1.
The safety shoe 1 shown in FIG. 1 is only shown schematically. The shoe has a shaft 2 and a profile sole 3 arranged underneath it, which has a multiplicity of individual profile sections or profile strips 4, these profile strips 4 being designed differently on the underside of the profile strip. For example, wider lasts are provided at the tip of the shoe than in the middle. Furthermore, the sales area also has wider strips. The design of the profile strips varies from shoe to shoe and is not the subject of the invention here.
In the profile of the profile sole 3 are in several places (only 3 places are shown in Figure 1, for example)
Sections 5 incorporated, which differ optically from the rest of the profile sole 3. In the present exemplary embodiment, these sections 5 have a red color, while the remaining profile strip is colored dark. The sections 5 are worked into the profile sole in such a way that they fit somewhat into the respective profile afford and protrude downward, as shown in Figure 1. After appropriate wear of the profile strips, the underside of the sections 5 is therefore exposed and can be seen.
These sections 5 are a safety feature built into the safety shoe, which indicates when a minimum test depth has been reached below which, similar to a car tire, further use of the shoe is no longer appropriate or critical.
Man erkennt, daß jedeDetails of this safety feature are shown in the enlarged illustration in FIG. 2, which is a vertical section through the heel area of the safety shoe shown in FIG. 1. You can see that everyone
The section 5 is completely encased by a profile strip and arranged with respect to the underside of the profile strip 4 so that its underside corresponds to the maximum permissible wear of the profile strip. This maximum permissible wear is indicated in FIG. 2 by a dashed line 6. If the profile strip 4 is worn by wearing the shoe up to this line 6, the underside of the differently colored section 5 is released so that the wearer of the shoe recognizes that the shoe must be replaced.
Depending on the embodiment, each profile strip 4 of the profile sole 3 of the shoe can have such a section 5 have, or only some sections 5 can be provided in profile strips that are exposed to particularly heavy wear. The material of the sections 5 can correspond to the material of the profile sole 3 or consist of another material. It is important that the sections 5 are well integrated into the profile sole 3.
To produce the safety shoe shown, the profile sole (outsole) provided with the safety feature is foamed, glued or sewn to the shaft.
