- CH 597 032 apparently a windsurfing board, comprising a laminate-coated foam core and a top and bottom having board-like body, wherein at least the edge region of the left and right side end of the board-like body has at least two fabric laminate layers, one of the bottom to the top to the profile of the corresponding End runs and thus arise in the side edges several cut laminate layers that abut each other, so that no protruding edges.
- a disadvantage of this is the fact that the joining of two moldings on the Foam core to a surfboard at the seam between the two halves traditionally a vulnerability to the effect occurs that at low surface damage in this area, the foam core can absorb up to about 10% water, which is very difficult to remove by the rapid distribution in the foam body itself This leads to long repair and service life and repairs are possible only to a very limited extent.
- Problem of the present invention is to avoid, at least in part, the above-mentioned disadvantages, in particular to provide devices and methods for producing generic, in particular these devices for surfing with a board-like body, which have a much longer life compared to conventional surfboards, thus the Risk of board breakage is greatly reduced, with an individual adaptation to the individual surfer is possible.
- the inventive device for surfing or the like has a board-like body having a laminate-coated foam core and a top and bottom. At least the edge region of the front and / or rear longitudinal end and / or the left and / or right side end of the board-like body has - if appropriate in each case (ie if front and rear longitudinal end and / or right and left side end are concerned) - at least two layers of fabric laminate of which at least one extends from the top to the bottom or vice versa around the profile of the longitudinal end.
- the device according to the invention has, at least at one of its ends, a substantially increased elasticity compared to conventional surfboards. Due to the multiple - especially double - lamination, the edge regions, in particular the longitudinal ends and / or side ends are considerably more resistant, so that the areas of greatest loads now have a lower probability of breakage. With essential to the invention is the fact that the present devices for surfing in particular at their longitudinal ends and / or side ends have a larger compared to conventional surfboards reversible elongation about the longitudinal axis or transverse axis, so that bumps on the wave to be surfed quasi as a shock absorber be "cushioned".
- the devices according to the invention are thus faster and more controllable to surf and withstand even the strongest loads in the shaft with deformations up to 30 cm. Furthermore, the devices according to the invention adapt to the ever-changing waveforms of the waves with regard to their longitudinal and / or transverse profile. In addition, the weight is only half of conventional boards.
- the ratio of total laminate layer thicknesses from top to bottom is in the range of 6: 4 to 5: 5, in particular if the total laminate layer thicknesses of the top and bottom are the same, since these embodiments achieve excellent service lives could, because both an up and a swinging of the longitudinal and / or side ends, at least in almost the same extent possible.
- the number of laminated fabric layers of the top and bottom are the same size, moreover, if the layer thicknesses of the individual fabric layers are at least almost identical and / or the fabric are chemically similar, so in this way also one allow high and controlled pivoting of the longitudinal and / or side ends.
- the tissues consist of glass fibers and / or aramid.
- Aramids are polyamides of aromatic diamines and aromatic dicarboxylic acids, which may also contain imide groups in addition to amide. Aramids are characterized by high thermal and chemical resistance, strength and elasticity as well as good flame resistance and dimensional stability.
- tissue area weights in the glass fibers in the amount of 80 g / m 2 to 330 g / m 2 and aramid in the amount of 60 g / m 2 to 240 g / m 2 and tissue, the at least one weave from the Group linen, twill 1/3, Twill 2/2, unidirectional correspond, proven.
- Fabrics, such as fiberglass and aramid fiber fabrics are web-made webs of continuous yarns or twists, the yarns being usually spun with a slight twist (10 to 40 turns per meter), and twines usually being more twisted (100 to 200 turns per meter).
- an adhesive is applied to the fabric, which serves the better connection with in particular epoxy resins (epoxy resins).
- epoxy resins epoxy resins
- the weave is the type of thread binding in warp (longitudinal) and weft (cross) direction.
- the linen weave is a simple ground weave in which the weft crosses one warp thread at a time. It ensures good dimensional stability and low fraying when cutting.
- the Twill weave skips several warp threads, resulting in highly conformable and drapeable fabrics that are particularly well-suited to curved shapes but are less easy to cut.
- Tissues are called unidirectional if these contain thin weft threads, so that more warp threads can be accommodated at the same resin content in the laminate. Because of the thread stretch is thus obtained in the longitudinal direction a significantly higher strength and rigidity.
- the laminate layer when the laminate layer is broken when the foam core is exposed, it does not swell excessively on contact with water or absorbs water, and the latter has a closed cell structure, which is accomplished by modifying the foam by means of customary additives.
- the inner surface of the foam core is substantially dust-free, since in the lamination of the first fabric layer on the foam core in this way an extremely intimate connection is made, otherwise with existing dust particles, the adhesion of the laminate on the foam core greatly reduced would and would often lead to delamination.
- the forces are absorbed directly from the glass fibers or aramid (for example in the form of fibers), so that usually deformations up to about 30 cm (! Are possible.
- the material thickness of the top and bottom could be significantly reduced due to the above-mentioned, at least in the edge region performed multiple lamination.
- the weight of the device according to the invention could be significantly reduced compared to conventional boards, with stringerivaer execution even by half. The life of these devices should have been increased by about a factor of 4 compared to conventional boards.
- the board-like body of the device according to the invention after appropriate use footprints of the surfer (footprints) on.
- the resulting prints range from 2 to 8 mm in depth and then stagnate without adversely affecting the quality of the board, providing optimum transfer of force from the foot to the board.
- the footprints do not lead, as usual, to later delaminations of the laminate from the foam core.
- the overlap of the fabric laminate layers in the edge region of the board-like body extends in the circumferential direction only over part of the length of the body in this direction.
- the overlap may be formed in a plurality of short, circumferentially successive and spaced-apart areas.

Description
The invention relates to a device for surfing or the like, in particular a surfboard, with a laminate-coated foam core and a top and bottom having board-like body.
Typically, surfacing devices with a board-like body, so-called surfboards, comprise a laminate-coated foam core having top and bottom surfaces. If the resin of the laminations consists of a polyester, then the foam cores have a lath-shaped device, usually made of wood, the so-called "stringer" for stabilizing the surfboard.
The disadvantage here, however, is the fact that such surfboards are usually subject to high wear, which manifests itself in irreversible surface irregularities to fractures of the boards.
Furthermore, surfboards are known, the laminate layers usually contain fiberglass fabric and epoxy resin, but these can only be produced in prefabricated forms, without going into the needs of the individual surfer. These surfboards usually have no stringer, as can be accomplished by the epoxy resin in conjunction with commonly used glass fiber fabrics sufficient strength.
A disadvantage of this, however, is the fact that the joining of two moldings on the Foam core to a surfboard at the seam between the two halves traditionally a vulnerability to the effect occurs that at low surface damage in this area, the foam core can absorb up to about 10% water, which is very difficult to remove by the rapid distribution in the foam body itself This leads to long repair and service life and repairs are possible only to a very limited extent.
Problem of the present invention is to avoid, at least in part, the above-mentioned disadvantages, in particular to provide devices and methods for producing generic, in particular these devices for surfing with a board-like body, which have a much longer life compared to conventional surfboards, thus the Risk of board breakage is greatly reduced, with an individual adaptation to the individual surfer is possible.
This problem is solved by a device according to
The inventive device for surfing or the like has a board-like body having a laminate-coated foam core and a top and bottom. Furthermore, it is according to the invention if in each case at least one fabric laminate layer of the top and bottom run around the profile of the front and / or rear longitudinal end and / or the left and / or right side end of the top to bottom or vice versa, as in this way a high breaking strength in both Elongationsrichtungen is accomplished.
Due to this special embodiment, the device according to the invention has, at least at one of its ends, a substantially increased elasticity compared to conventional surfboards. The devices according to the invention are thus faster and more controllable to surf and withstand even the strongest loads in the shaft with deformations up to 30 cm. Furthermore, the devices according to the invention adapt to the ever-changing waveforms of the waves with regard to their longitudinal and / or transverse profile. In addition, the weight is only half of conventional boards.
In order to promote a uniform elongation in both directions of elongation, it is advantageous if the respective at least one fabric laminate layers of the upper and underside in the edge region of the front and / or rear longitudinal end and / or the left and / or right side end directly to each other.
Moreover, it is advantageous if the ratio of total laminate layer thicknesses from top to bottom is in the range of 6: 4 to 5: 5, in particular if the total laminate layer thicknesses of the top and bottom are the same, since these embodiments achieve excellent service lives could, because both an up and a swinging of the longitudinal and / or side ends, at least in almost the same extent possible.
Furthermore, it is advantageous if the number of laminated fabric layers of the top and bottom are the same size, moreover, if the layer thicknesses of the individual fabric layers are at least almost identical and / or the fabric are chemically similar, so in this way also one allow high and controlled pivoting of the longitudinal and / or side ends.
This is realized in an advantageous manner reinforced to absorb the bending and tensile stresses occurring evenly, that at least one part in particular all fabric layers of the upper and lower sides in the edge region of at least one front and / or rear longitudinal end and / or left and / or right side end in their layer sequence alternately (alternating lamination of fabric layers of the top and bottom or vice versa) are arranged.
Here, it has proved to be extremely advantageous in practice, if the tissues consist of glass fibers and / or aramid.
Aramids are polyamides of aromatic diamines and aromatic dicarboxylic acids, which may also contain imide groups in addition to amide. Aramids are characterized by high thermal and chemical resistance, strength and elasticity as well as good flame resistance and dimensional stability.
In practice, advantageously have tissue area weights in the glass fibers in the amount of 80 g / m 2 to 330 g / m 2 and aramid in the amount of 60 g / m 2 to 240 g / m 2 and tissue, the at least one weave from the Group linen,
Frequently, an adhesive is applied to the fabric, which serves the better connection with in particular epoxy resins (epoxy resins). Such laminates show higher strengths and better water and aging resistance.
The weave is the type of thread binding in warp (longitudinal) and weft (cross) direction. The linen weave is a simple ground weave in which the weft crosses one warp thread at a time. It ensures good dimensional stability and low fraying when cutting. The Twill weave skips several warp threads, resulting in highly conformable and drapeable fabrics that are particularly well-suited to curved shapes but are less easy to cut.
Tissues are called unidirectional if these contain thin weft threads, so that more warp threads can be accommodated at the same resin content in the laminate. Because of the thread stretch is thus obtained in the longitudinal direction a significantly higher strength and rigidity.
Good results could be achieved with polyurethane or polystyrene foam cores.
So that when the laminate layer is broken when the foam core is exposed, it does not swell excessively on contact with water or absorbs water, and the latter has a closed cell structure, which is accomplished by modifying the foam by means of customary additives.
In particular, it has been proven that the fabric layers of the laminate are soaked in epoxy resin and / or beyond the device is stringer-free, as in this way a particularly high pivotability about the longitudinal and / or transverse axis (bendability) and thus at considerable Weight saving a very high stability is achieved.
Finally, it is advantageous if the inner surface of the foam core is substantially dust-free, since in the lamination of the first fabric layer on the foam core in this way an extremely intimate connection is made, otherwise with existing dust particles, the adhesion of the laminate on the foam core greatly reduced would and would often lead to delamination.
When using an above-mentioned epoxy resin (epoxy resin) in the laminate layer, the forces are absorbed directly from the glass fibers or aramid (for example in the form of fibers), so that usually deformations up to about 30 cm (!) Are possible. The material thickness of the top and bottom could be significantly reduced due to the above-mentioned, at least in the edge region performed multiple lamination. The weight of the device according to the invention could be significantly reduced compared to conventional boards, with stringerfreier execution even by half. The life of these devices should have been increased by about a factor of 4 compared to conventional boards. In the embodiment of the invention, the board-like body of the device according to the invention after appropriate use footprints of the surfer (footprints) on. This gives the surfer a better stand and better control over his board. The resulting prints range from 2 to 8 mm in depth and then stagnate without adversely affecting the quality of the board, providing optimum transfer of force from the foot to the board. As a rule, the footprints do not lead, as usual, to later delaminations of the laminate from the foam core.
According to the invention, it is basically sufficient if the overlap of the fabric laminate layers in the edge region of the board-like body extends in the circumferential direction only over part of the length of the body in this direction. For example, the overlap may be formed in a plurality of short, circumferentially successive and spaced-apart areas. In order to achieve the properties and advantages of the invention in a particularly extensive extent, provides an extraordinarily advantageous development of the teaching of the invention, that the overlap of the fabric laminate layers in the edge region of the board-like body in the circumferential direction of the body over a substantial part of the length of the body, preferably in extends substantially over the entire length of the body in this direction.
In order to achieve a resistance of the board-like body against UV radiation, it is expedient that the board-like body is provided in the region of its surface, in particular on its surface, with a UV-resistant material.
In the aforementioned embodiment, the UV-resistant material may be contained in the laminate or form a coating of the board-like body.
In the inventive method for producing a device for surfing and the like, in particular for kite surfing and wake boarding, in particular for producing a device according to the invention, at least one edge region of the front and / or rear longitudinal end and / or the left and / or right side end of the foam core of the board-like body from top to bottom or vice versa coated around the profile laminating with at least one fabric layer, wherein after complete lamination of at least the at least one fabric layer having edge region of the corresponding end has at least one further fabric laminate layer.
This can be done manually, semi or fully automatically in dedicated machines (commonly known vacuum technologies).

In addition, it is advantageous if resin and / or light filler is applied to the surface of the foam core before lamination, so that the surface the foam core is almost sealed and a defined surface is provided for laminating the respective fabrics.
The device according to the invention is preferably a surfboard.
