Bei derart fehlerhaften Verpackungen ist die Haltbarkeit der verpackten Produkte nicht gewährleistet, und es ist nicht sichergestellt, daß mehrere in einer Umverpackung zusammengefasste einzelne Verpackungen die auf der Umverpackung angegebene Anzahl von Produkten enthalten. Um dies und die damit verbundenen Nachteile für den Verbraucher zu vermeiden, ist es bei herkömmlichen Verpackungsmaschinen bekannt, nach dem Ausstanzen der Verpackungen in der Stanzstation fehlerhafte Verpackungen automatisiert oder manuell zu trennen. Als Teil einer durch eine Thermoformmaschine gebildeten, in der Zeichnung selber nicht vollständig dargestellten Verpackungsmaschine ist in der Figur 1 eine Stanzstation 1 gezeigt, mit der Produkte enthaltende Verpackungen 2, 3 aus einem Folienband 4 ausgestanzt werden können. Dazu weist die Stanzstation 1 ein mittels eines Antriebes in eine Stanzposition verstellbares Stanzwerkzeug 5 auf und verfügt über eine Transporteinrichtung 6 für den Abtransport der ausgestanzten Verpackungen 2. Bezogen auf die Förderrichtung des Folienbandes 4 ist vor dem Stanzwerkzeug 5 eine Kontrolleinrichtung 7 angeordnet, die eine Kamera zur optischen Mustererkennung umfasst und der Unterscheidung fehlerfreier Verpackungen 2 von fehlerhaften Verpackungen 3 dient. Erkennt die Kontrolleinrichtung 7 fehlerfreie Verpackungen 2, also Verpackungen 2, bei denen die tiefgezogenen Näpfe 8 in einer Formfolie korrekt mit Produkten befüllt und mittels einer Deckfolie richtig versiegelt sind, so wird das Stanzwerkzeug 5 in die Stanzposition verstellt und die fehlerfreie Verpackung 2 mittels eines Sauggreifers 9 an die Transporteinrichtung 6 übergeben, die durch ein umlaufendes Förderband realisiert ist, mit dem die Verpackungen 2 hängend transportiert werden, wobei die Kontur der ausgestanzten Verpackungen 2 mittels eines optischen Detektionssystems 10 nochmals kontrolliert wird.As part of a packaging machine formed by a thermoforming machine, not shown completely in the drawing itself, a punching station 1 is shown in FIG. 1, with which packages 2, 3 containing products can be punched out of a foil strip 4. Das Folienband 4 wird einem stromab des Stanzwerkzeugs 5 angeordneten Abfallschneider 11 zugeführt, der ein Schneidmesser 12 zur Zerkleinerung des Folienbandes 4 aufweist. Das Schneidmesser 12 ist aus einer rotierend antreibbaren Schneidklinge 13 und einer stationär im Abfallschneider 11 angeordneten Gegenklinge 14 gebildet, wobei die Rotationsachse der Schneidklinge 13 quer zur Vorschubrichtung des Folienbandes 4 orientiert ist. Die Rotation wird durch einen Sensor 15 geregelt, um ein zeilenweises Abtrennen der Näpfe 8 von dem Folienband 4 zu gewährleisten. In Abhängigkeit der Signale der Kontrolleinrichtung wird weiterhin eine Weiche 16 gestellt, die der Separierung der Verpackungen 3 nach Fehlen oder Präsenz von Produkten in den Näpfen dient. Claims (11)

  1. Punching station for a packaging machine packaging products in foil, in particular a thermoforming machine, for punching out packages (2) from a foil strip (4), with a punching tool (5) that can be displaced into a punching position by means of a drive, and with a transport device (6) for removing the punched-out packages (2), characterized in that, relative to the direction of conveyance of the foil strip (4), a checking device (7) for distinguishing fault-free packages (2) from faulty packages (3) is arranged upstream of the punching tool (5), and in that the checking device (7) is connected to the drive with the aim of preventing the displacement of the punching tool (5) into the punching position when the checking device (7) detects a faulty package (3).
  2. Punching station according to claim 1, characterized in that a scrap cutter (11) with cutting knife (12) is arranged downstream of the punching tool (5).
  3. Punching station according to claim 2, characterized in that the checking device (7) is provided to distinguish between filled, part-filled and empty packages (3) and in that the checking device (7) is connected to a distributor (16) for separating the packages (3) according to the signal.
  4. Punching station according to claim 3, characterized in that a sensor (15) for detecting the crown edges of the cups (8) formed in the package (3) to record the products and/or the product boundaries is provided with the purpose of severing the foil strip (4) between the products.

  10. Punching station according to one of claims 1 to 9, characterized in that the transport device (6) has a revolving conveyor belt with which the packages (2) can be transported suspended.
  11. Punching station according to one of claims 1 to 10, characterized in that an optical detection system for checking the contour of the punched-out packages (2) is allocated to the transport device (6).
