Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a switching chamber or quenching chamber for a circuit breaker, especially for high voltage systems according to the preamble of the main claim. The invention further relates to a circuit breaker with such Switching chamber.
In high voltage system switches are regular, in particular a small volume version of circuit breakers to allow switching chambers or extinguishing chambers to be used, which comprise an arc resulting from a switching operation, which is deleted there. Show such switching chambers an insulation gap on which a voltage applied to the circuit breaker Maintain voltage with the circuit breaker open have to. This isolation path is from an isolation area a wall of the corresponding switching chamber, there is made of a non-conductive material, bridged. In the closed state of a conventional circuit breaker with such a switching chamber occupies the switching chamber pin-like and displaceable along a switch axis Switched piece on, which at one end of a ring or tulip contact can be included as a second contact piece.
Such switching chambers and circuit breakers bring the Disadvantage with that, with switching operations, of switching arcs be accompanied, hot burned on the Wall of the switching chamber can be thrown, and indeed in the isolation area. This burn-off material, usually also consists of metallic Abbrandteilchen can spread over large areas of the wall of the switching chamber, which brings a weakened isolation ability with it. Also, in switching operations in a wide range charges be induced on surfaces of the wall, creating an electrical Field in the switching chamber and thus a behavior of a Switching arc can be influenced, causing a deletion of the switching arc complicate and the isolation ability of the circuit breaker in the open state, at least continue after a larger number of switching operations can weaken. To compensate for these disadvantages, it is after required in the prior art, relatively large dimensions to choose for the switching chamber, so both a relatively long length, a sufficiently long isolation distance to ensure, as well as a large radial Distance between rated current contacts of the circuit breaker and the wall of the switching chamber in the isolation area to a To keep deposition of burn-off material as low as possible. Of course, the required dimensions depending on the voltage to be held. In any case but this gives you switching chambers and circuit breakers with an undesirably large space and material requirements.
The invention is therefore based on the object, a switching chamber and to develop a corresponding circuit breaker, with which the mentioned disadvantages are minimized can and which is a construction with smaller dimensions allow given voltage to be held.
This object is achieved by a switching chamber with the characterizing features of the main claim in conjunction with the features of the preamble of the main claim as well as through a circuit breaker with the features of claim 14. Advantageous embodiments of the invention arise with the features of the subclaims.
Because the wall in the isolation area at least one Recess or a recess, such, so Shaped and arranged that every projection of the switch axis on the wall cuts at least one such recess, one reaches first an extension of the isolation distance with the same dimensions, so an extension of a shortest, the non-conductive material of the wall in the insulation area not leaving connection between two poles of the corresponding circuit breaker. It is important to take into account that this material has a more critical influence on the isolation capability of the circuit breaker has as a switching chamber filling, usually gaseous Extinguishing medium, reinforced by the possibility of Deposition of burned material. Another advantage of the proposed Switching chamber can be seen in that through the recesses in the wall of the switching chamber now less burned material can settle on this wall. In addition to that reduced weakening of the insulation capacity of the wall in the isolation area is thereby an advantageous reduction the influence of such deposits on an electrical Field and thus given an arc in the switching chamber. Finally, one can be realized if given Rated voltage relatively small version of Switching chamber and a circuit breaker, such a Contains switching chamber.
In expedient embodiments of the invention, the switching chamber at least in the isolation area a cylindrical shape. In particular, when the switching pieces in the switch axis or arranged symmetrically to the switch axis, result thereby optimally minimized dimensions for a given minimum distance of the wall of the switching chamber in the isolation area to live parts of the corresponding circuit breaker.
In order to allow a sufficiently stable construction of the switching chamber, are preferable to those versions in which the wall in the isolation area at least two, better yet has more than two such recesses. A reasonable one Production costs are calculated if not more than twelve such recesses are provided. In a convenient, sufficiently stable and not too expensive execution The invention is the wall between five and eight have such recesses.
So that every projection of the switch axis on the wall at least cutting such a recess, it is advantageous when the single recess is elongated and preferably a ratio of length to width of between 4: 1 and 30: 1 has. Such a recess, the long enough is to effectively extend the insulation distance too effect, and at the same time broad enough to strike through to avoid over the recess forms with it optimized embodiments of the invention, a slot with a length to width ratio of between 9: 1 and 20: 1. A slot-shaped recess can in particular easily be shaped so that two opposite Edges of the recess run parallel.
With recesses formed by slots can be a Extension of the isolation route and the feature that each Projection of the switch axis on the wall at least one recess intersects, by an inclination of the slots opposite reach the switch axis. Preferably, the slots are more than 20 °, better for a larger effect at least 30 °, opposite the switch axis or a projection the switch axis on the wall at one by the corresponding slot defined location inclined perform. It is advantageous, at least two, better yet more than two such recesses parallel to each other to arrange, preferably equidistant, so that the recesses to form a thread-like structure. A higher number slits makes it easier to extend the insulation section and a reduction for deposits more susceptible Surfaces avoiding too much loss of stability. To avoid excessive loss of stability of the switching chamber, should be a slot designed as a recess, however then have a slope of not more than 45 °, the exact Inclination can vary depending on the desired extension of the insulation distance to get voted.
In another embodiment of the invention may slot-shaped Recesses in the wall of the switching chamber also perpendicular be oriented to the switch axis, wherein the recesses then arranged in at least two rows, that is offset laterally need to be an extension of the shortest isolation route to force in the wall.
Switching chambers according to the invention can be compared with corresponding ones Switch chambers of the prior art with lower Dimensions are executed. The exact dimensions will be depending on the voltage to be bridged and after expected amperages in switching operations, at appropriate embodiments of the invention for uses, where the benefits mentioned are particularly pronounced are, the isolation range is a length of between 100 mm and 250 mm, especially when used in such Switches designed for a rated voltage of between 72.5 kV and 550 kV are designed. Also in particular for use in such switches, the switching chamber is preferably at least in the isolation area with a diameter between 150 mm and 300 mm, to the lowest possible Dimensions of the switching chamber and the corresponding Switch with as large a distance as possible from the wall of the Switch chamber to connect to a switching arc. The Recesses can have a largest at corresponding switches Expansion, in slit-like recesses so a length, from between 50 mm and 300 mm to have the largest possible Save space and minimize the loss of stability for the switching chamber the largest possible extension to effect the isolation route.
The switching chamber, in the isolation area of a possible good insulating material can be made there e.g. consist of cast resin or a fiber-reinforced cast resin, a material with which recesses are particularly good while avoiding frayed edges. When suitable fiber materials are added to industrial products such as Trevira or Kevlar in question. Preferably is for the wall the switching chamber in the isolation area to ensure a sufficiently high stability with the lowest possible cost of materials provide a wall thickness of between 4 mm and 15 mm.
A switching chamber according to the invention is particularly well suited for a circuit breaker using a gas as an extinguishing agent, in any case, the extinguishing chamber no liquid must hold in a way that with recesses in the wall the switching chamber would not be compatible. In a typical Embodiment of a circuit breaker according to the invention, in particular a circuit breaker for high voltage installations, with a switching chamber of the type described is a pin-like Switching piece slidably arranged in the switch axis, with the circuit breaker closed, from the quenching chamber is surrounded and in a ring or tulip contact as Rated current contact comes to lie, preferably an additional, on the switch axis lying arcing contact is to be provided on the a switching arc to protect the can skip corresponding rated current contact.
