Abstract

The window or glass door securement mechanism has a lengthways sliding rod (7) with a catch (4) driven by the rod which can move from an opening to a closing position. The catch is pushed into a window jamb (5) positioned opposite it for closure. A pivoted lever (9,10) is hinged on the catch but is positioned away from the catch itself and is instead coupled to the connecting rod which drives it. The catch has a housing (11) for the lever, and the sleeve rail (6) which secures it to the frame (2) has a corresponding housing for the lever too. The catch has a bolt (14) which is pushed into a recess (12,13) in the connecting rod.

Description

The invention relates to a closure for locking a wing in a frame of a window, a French window or the like with a longitudinally displaceable drive rod, with a movable from the drive rod from a retracted open position into a protruding closed position closing element and with a closing element to be arranged opposite closing plate for receiving of the closing element in the closed position.

Such a closure is known for example from DE 198 46 317 C2. The closing element is designed elongated and has a direction of movement of the drive rod inclined slotted guide for a mounted on the drive rod pin. The drive rod is arranged here on the frame. Upon a displacement of the drive rod, the pin is moved in the slotted guide. The closing element is selectively moved into the protruding closed position or the retracted open position. In the open position, the closing element is outside the movement path of the wing. In the closed position, the closing element penetrates into the movement path of the wing and blocks its movement relative to the frame. Furthermore, the closing element requires a further straight guide transversely to the direction of movement of the drive rod. Such a closure is often referred to as a line closure and allows it is to lock the wing with a single closing element over a particularly wide area in the frame.

A disadvantage of the known closure that the slotted guide limits the stroke of the closing element to about half its height, since a herausgelangen the pin from the slotted guide must be reliably prevented. However, this requires a particularly deep groove in the wing or frame to ensure sufficient to lock the wing hubs.

The invention is based on the problem, a closure of the type mentioned in such a way that it has particularly small dimensions even with a large stroke of the closing element.

This problem is inventively solved in that a pivot lever is articulated to the closing element and is mounted pivotally away from the closing element and that the pivot lever is coupled to the drive with the drive rod.

By this design can be easily adjusted over the length of the pivot lever, the stroke of the closing element. During a movement of the drive rod, the pivot lever is deflected and thus moves the closing element. As a result, the closure according to the invention has particularly small dimensions and can therefore be arranged in fittings of ordinary windows.

The articulation of the pivot lever on the closing element could for example have a slotted guide.

For this purpose, the closing element also requires a slotted guide between the open position and the closed position. However, a strong friction having slide guides can be easily avoided according to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, when the closing element has a bearing for the pivot lever. By this design, the closing element is pivoted out of the open position into the closed position. As a result, the closure according to the invention can be actuated particularly smoothly.

The storage of the pivot lever requires according to another advantageous embodiment of the invention, a particularly low structural complexity, if provided for attachment to the frame or the wing faceplate has a bearing for the pivot lever.

The coupling of the pivot lever with the drive rod according to another advantageous embodiment of the invention requires a particularly low structural complexity when the pivot lever has a penetrating into a recess of the drive rod pin. As a result, the pivot lever is driven in the manner of a rack-and-pinion arrangement.

A free area in which the drive rod can be moved without movement of the closing element, according to another advantageous embodiment of the invention requires a particularly low design effort when the drive rod has a second recess and when an edge of the recess in the open position is spaced from the pin. As a result, for example, in a turn-tilt fitting the drive rod can move to the wing to bring into a tilted position, without taking the closing element.

A particularly wide support of the wing relative to the frame can be easily generated according to another advantageous development of the invention, when the closing element has two pivot levers. Preferably, both pivot levers are driven in the manner of the rack-and-pinion arrangement.

In the mounted state of the closure according to the invention, a pulling apart of the wing and the frame can be easily avoided if the closing element at one end has a tangentially pointing in its direction of movement in the closed position projection and the strike plate in the region of the projection has a pocket for receiving the projection.

To further increase the security of the closure according to the invention in the closed position against forcible separation of the wing from the frame, it contributes, when in addition to the closing element, a locking pin is mounted on the drive rod.

The closure according to the invention is able to support high forces in the closed position when the striking plate next to the pocket for the closing element has a pocket for receiving a collar of the locking pin. Since, in the drive of the closing element in the manner of a rack-and-pinion arrangement, the locking pin is displaced counter to the direction of movement of the closing element, the striking plate is thereby gripped by the closing element and the locking pin like a pliers.

An alignment of the closing element with respect to the striking plate according to another advantageous embodiment of the invention requires a particularly low structural complexity when the striking plate or the face plate has a centering pin corresponding to a centering of the respective opposing member.

Possible inaccuracies between the wing and the frame can be easily compensated with the closure according to the invention, if one of the pivot lever is longer than the other pivot lever. As a result, the closing element passes in the manner of a scissor blade in the strike plate and therefore is able to pull the wing during the closing operation against the frame.

The closure according to the invention is particularly easy to clean and prevents penetration of dirt to the drive rod when the closing element is flush in the closed position with a faceplate.

A bias of the wing against the frame can be easily adjusted according to another advantageous embodiment of the invention, when the strike plate has adjustment means relative to the closing element. In the simplest case, the striking plate has two slots pointing in the direction of the closing element, through which fastening screws are guided. Alternatively, the mounting screws may also have an eccentric, which cooperates with the strike plate.

The invention allows numerous embodiments. To further clarify its basic principle is one of them shown in the drawing and will be described below. This shows in
Fig. 1
a sectional view through an inventive, mounted in a window closure in an open position,
Fig. 2
the closure according to the invention of Figure 1 in a closed position,
Fig. 3
a perspective view of the closure of Figure 1.

Hierdurch sind das Schließelement 4 und das Schließblech 5 zueinander ausgerichtet.FIG. 1 shows a closure 3 provided with a frame 2 for locking a wing 1 which can be pivoted into the plane of the drawing. The closure 3 is in an open position, in which a closing element 4 arranged on the wing 1 is removed by a striking plate 5 fastened to the frame 2 is. The shutter 3 has a fixed to the wing 1 faceplate 6 and a longitudinally displaceably guided on the faceplate 6 drive rod 7. The faceplate 6 has two bearings 8 for pivot lever 9, 10, which in turn bearings 11 on the closing element 4 have. The drive rod 7 has two recesses 12, 13, wherein a pin 14 of the pivot lever 9, 10 penetrates into one of the recesses 12. The pin 14 has a distance from the edge 15 of this recess 12, so that the drive rod 7 can be moved relative to the pin 14, without taking this. In a deflection of the pivot lever 9, 10, the closing element 4 is moved in a circular arc out of the plane of the face-plate 5 out. The striking plate 5 has an elongated recess 15 for receiving the closing element 4 and a pocket 16 for receiving one in the direction of movement pointing on the drive rod 7 and guided through a slot 18 of the face plate 6 guided locking pin 19 is another pocket 20 of the striker 5 against. On the faceplate 6, a centering pin 21 is arranged, which penetrates into a centering recess 22 of the striker plate 5. As a result, the closing element 4 and the striking plate 5 are aligned with each other.

If, starting from the open position of the closure 3 of Figure 1, the drive rod 7 moves to the left, the edge 15 of the pin 14 of the pivot lever 9, 10 receiving recess 12 passes against the pin 14. The pivot lever 9, 10 are deflected and the Closing element 4 moves into the recess 23 of the striking plate 5. Thus, the shutter 3 is in the closed position, in which the wing 1 is locked in the frame 3. This position is shown in FIG. During the movement of the drive rod 7, a second pin 24 passes into the second recess 13 of the drive rod 7. Thus, the closing element 4 can not be pushed back into the plane of the faceplate 6 without movement of the drive rod 7. Furthermore, it can be seen that when driving the drive rod 7, the closing element 4 and the locking pin 19 move in opposite directions and each penetrate into the pockets 16, 20 of the striker plate 5. Thus, the projection 17 of the closing element 4 and a circumferential collar 25 of the locking pin 19 of the pockets 16, 20 are engaged behind.

Das Schließelement 4 und der Schließzapfen 19 befinden sich jedoch in Schließstellung.FIG. 3 shows the closure 3 from FIGS. 1 and 2 in a perspective view. The closing element 4 and the striking plate 5 are to illustrate the drawing shown separated from each other. However, the closing element 4 and the locking pin 19 are in the closed position.
