Abstract
Description
Claims (15)
- A lubricating oil additive obtained by dissolving or reacting (A) at least one type of compound selected from the group consisting of metal salts of phosphorus compounds represented by formulas (1), (2) and (3) below in or with (B) an amine compound: wherein X1, X2, and X3 are each independently oxygen or sulfur provided that at least one of them is oxygen and R11, R12, and R13 are each independently hydrogen or a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 30 carbon atoms provided that at least one of them is hydrogen; wherein X4, X5, X6, and X7 are each independently oxygen or sulfur provided that at least three of them are oxygen and R14, R15, and R16 are each independently hydrogen or a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 30 carbon atoms provided that at least one of them is hydrogen; and wherein X8, X9, and X10 are each independently oxygen or sulfur provided that at least two of them are oxygen, R17, R18, and R19 are each independently hydrogen or a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 30 carbon atoms provided that at least one of them is hydrogen, and a is an integer of 0 or 1; and the phosphorus compounds of formulas (1) to (3) may have between any X-R bonds a group represented by -(OR')n- wherein R' is an alkylene group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms and n is an integer of 1 to 10.
- The lubricating oil additive according to claim 1 wherein all X1, X2 and X3 of formula (1), X4, X5, X6 and X7 of formula (2), and X8, X9 and X10 of formula (3) are oxygen.
- The lubricating oil additive according to claim 1 wherein a metal of Component (A) is at least one type of metal selected from the group consisting of lithium, magnesium, calcium, and zinc.
- The lubricating oil additive according to claim 1 wherein Component (B) is at least one type of amine compound selected from the group consisting of amine-based anti-oxidants, aliphatic amines, and ashless dispersants and derivatives thereof.
- A lubricating oil additive obtained by dissolving Component (A) in an amine-based anti-oxidant.
- A lubricating oil additive obtained by reacting Component (A) or the lubricating oil additive as defined in claim 5 with an aliphatic amine.
- A lubricating oil additive obtained by reacting Component (A) or the lubricating oil additive as defined in claim 5 or 6 with an ashless dispersant and/or a derivative thereof.
- The lubricating oil additive according to claim 6 or 7 wherein the reaction ratio of the aliphatic amine or the ashless dispersant or derivative thereof to Component (A) is 0.15 or more by mass.
- The lubricating oil additive according to claim 4, 7, or 8 wherein the ashless dispersant or derivative thereof are those having a base number of 5 mgKOH/g or more determined by a hydrochloric acid method.
- The lubricating oil additive according to claim 4, 7, 8, or 9 wherein the derivative of the ashless dispersant is a boron compound derivative of the ashless dispersant.
- The lubricating oil additive according to claim 4, 6, or 8 wherein the aliphatic amine is a tertiary amine.
- A lubricating oil additive obtained by blending the lubricating oil additive as defined in any one of the preceding claims with at least one type of additive selected from the group consisting of lubricating base oils, anti-oxidants, ashless dispersants, metallic detergents, friction modifiers, anti-wear agents, corrosion inhibitors, rust inhibitors, demulsifiers, metal passivators, anti-foaming agents, dyes, and viscosity index improvers.
- A lubricating oil composition obtained by blending the lubricating oil additive as defined in any one of the preceding claims with a lubricating base oil.
- A process for producing a lubricating oil additive by dissolving or reacting (A) at least one type of compound selected from the group consisting of metal salts of phosphorus compounds represented by formula (1), (2) and (3) in or with (B) an amine compound.
- A process for producing a lubricating oil composition by blending the lubricating additive as defined in any one of claims 1 to 12 with a lubricating oil.
