Abstract

L'invention concerne un ensemble d'articulation double servant à relier de manière articulée des éléments de guidage, de préférence une timonerie de direction de véhicule automobile, avec une pièce d'articulation commune. Selon cette invention, chacune des deux articulations comprend un logement d'articulation qui est relié à un élément de guidage respectif ainsi qu'une coquille de coussinet qui est logée dans ce logement et dans laquelle un élément pivot, qui est solidement accouplé à la pièce d'articulation commune, est logé de manière rotative et pivotante. Dans un premier mode de réalisation de cette invention, un élément pivot (26) d'une articulation (4) comporte une ouverture (24) qui s'étend le long de l'axe longitudinal de cet élément pivot et dans laquelle s'engage une partie de boulon fileté (23) de l'élément pivot (17) de l'autre articulation (5), un écrou de maintien (29) étant disposé au niveau de l'extrémité libre de la partie de boulon fileté (23) qui est opposée à l'élément pivot (17) de la seconde articulation (5). Dans un autre mode de réalisation de cette invention, les deux éléments pivot (26) desdites articulations (4, 5) comprenent respectivement une ouverture (24) qui s'étend le long de l'axe longitudinal de ces éléments pivot et dans laquelle s'engage un boulon fileté (31) pourvu d'une zone de tête évasée, un écrou de maintien (29) relié de manière libérable à ce boulon fileté étant disposé au niveau de l'extrémité libre de ce dernier qui est opposée à ladite zone de tête (32). L'avantage que présentent ces modes de réalisation réside dans le fait que les articulations individuelles de cet ensemble d'articulation double peuvent être montées simplement et remplacées séparément.
