Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a cover for a container opening, comprising a flexible web having one end movable from a first edge of the opening toward a second edge of the opening to close the opening with the web, the web in at least one of Can be locked container opening wholly or partially concealing position, and wherein at the movable over the opening, the first end of the flexible sheet, the first end of a flexible tension member is attached.
Covers for container openings, such as transport containers for various components of the automotive industry, known in which a flexible sheet is stretched for example of plastic material to a curtain in front of the container opening, wherein the objects to be transported are housed in individual compartments of the container , which are usually also made of flexible fabric or plastic sheets. In order to allow easy opening and closing of the container opening, the second end of the flexible web is attached in the manner of a roller blind to a rotatable roller, so that the remaining part of the flexible web can be wound onto the roller. In most cases, the roller is at the upper end arranged the container opening. More recently, the usual transport containers have become increasingly higher in order to make better use of the available space in transport trucks without a Aufeinenderstapel the container and to allow easy loading with forklifts or pallet trucks. The rollers and the free first ends of the flexible webs in the wound state may then be located at a height above the container bottom, which can no longer be reached by normal persons, even with outstretched arms.
In order to allow easy unrolling, vertically movable covers are known from the prior art in which the one end of a pulling element is fixed to the first, lower end of the flexible web, as is known from conventional window blinds. Hereinafter, the term tension member is used for loops, cords or web portions extending from one end of the flexible web and all of which are adapted to pull the flexible web downwardly or generally across the container opening.
These known from the prior art tension elements have at least at reaching just above the bottom openings the disadvantage that they rest after closing the container opening with the flexible sheet on the floor or the bottom of the container, so that they are a correspondingly strong pollution and subjected to increased wear.
US 6,406,232 discloses a cover according to the preamble of claim 1.
The present invention is compared to this prior art, the object to provide a pulling element for a cover for a container opening, which allows closing the container opening without the aforementioned disadvantages.
This object is achieved by the device according to the invention in that a cover for a container opening with the features mentioned is provided in which the tension member with its first end at the movable end across the opening end of the flexible sheet and with its second end on or in the vicinity of the edge of the container opening is attached to the container, which is closest to the first end of the flexible web in the open state.
In the following, particular embodiments and advantages of the device according to the invention will be discussed by way of examples in which the cover is moved over a lateral opening of a container in a substantially vertical direction, without any intention of restriction. A corresponding generalization of the terms "top" and "bottom" to "right" and "left" or "front" and "rear" is obvious to those skilled in the art.
Such a device is advantageous because it avoids excessive length of the tension element and, in the case of the vertical opening, prevents the second end of the tension element from coming to rest on the floor or bottom of the tank.
Conveniently, an embodiment of the invention in which the second end of the flexible web is attached to a rotatable roller, wherein the flexible web is wound on the roller. This prevents the flexible web from getting into the working area when the container opening is open during loading and unloading and from being damaged.
Alternatively, however, the second end of the flexible web could also be guided up and down along the top of the container and down along the back thereof by means of a pulling device and pulled to pull the first end of the web in the opening direction.
Preferred is an embodiment of the invention in which the tension member is a strip of flexible web or alternatively a string.
Particularly preferred is an embodiment in which the tension element has a length substantially corresponding to the width of the container opening (in the direction of movement of the cover), in the case of a vertical movable cover, the distance from the upper edge to the lower edge of the container opening. If the flexible web is completely wound up, then the tension element hangs down to about half the height of the container opening. Even if the container opening is completely closed with the flexible web, at this length, the tension element is not on the bottom of the container or on the floor and is therefore not subject to contamination or increased wear.
Appropriately, the second end of the tension element is attached to the container inside. So it runs even with completely closed container opening in the interior of the container and can, for. B. damaged during loading of the container or demolished.
It proves to be advantageous embodiment of the invention, in which the roller is biased by a torsion spring, so that the flexible web is spring-driven wound up. The web must be pulled down in this embodiment against the force of the spring, but the web is wound on the roller spring-driven, as soon as the web or the tension element is released.
It is advantageous if at least one latch is provided on the container, with which the web, preferably the first end of the flexible web, can be fixed. If the flexible web is pulled down against the force of the torsion spring, it would retract without locking snap up. The latch holds the web in a closed condition so that the web extends tightly in front of the container opening.
Preferred is an embodiment of the invention in which a substantially rigid or flexible rod is mounted parallel to the lower edge of the web at the first end of the flexible web. This rod biases the flexible web evenly when pulling on the tension member. It is expedient if the lock is designed such that it is formed by a respective hook-shaped receptacle on each side of the container opening, with which the rod at the first end of the flexible web is engageable. After pulling down the web, only the two ends of the bar at the lower end of the flexible web need be engaged with the two hooks to close the container opening.
To ensure the best possible coverage of the container opening, an embodiment of the invention is advantageous in which a side guide is provided on each side of the container opening, in which the flexible web or elements attached to it are guided. The side guides prevent dirt or moisture from entering the inside of the container at the sides of the container opening. In addition, falling out of objects from the container during transport is prevented.

In Fig. 1, the front view of a
The cover, in the embodiment shown, consists of a flexible sheet 3 which is strong enough to effectively cover the container against dirt and moisture while being flexible enough to be wound on a roll 2 located in the upper area of the container opening 1.
As can be seen in Fig. 2, at the lower loose end of the cover 3, a
In the embodiment shown, the rotatable roller 2 is arranged in a U-shaped
The roll 2 which can be easily recognized in Fig. 2 is biased by means of a torsion spring, so that the flexible sheet 3 is automatically rolled up when it is not pulled down or fixed in a lowered position. Therefore, devices are provided on the two
