Definitions
- the invention relates to a method for cleaning a tank for flammable liquids, as an oil tank, in particular a large oil tank, the tank leaving a Residual sump, mainly formed by sludge and residual liquid, in particular residual oil, is emptied and sucked gases from the existing above the residual sump gas space and burned, as well as an installation for carrying out the process.
- Tanks for flammable liquids especially oil tanks, such as large oil tanks, must be out Inspection as well as heavy pollution by sediments several years (3 to 8 years) operation.
- Most of the big oil tanks are designed as a floating lid construction. When emptying these tanks is created by Lowering the floating roof on supports a ca. 2 m high clearance between roof and Remaining residual sump from contaminated residual oil (sludge), so that the interior of the Tanks can be committed.
- To homogenize the tank contents used different mixer designs. After homogenization, the Tank pumped as far as possible.
- Procedures and Procedures there are a number of Procedures and Procedures:
- the most widely used method so far is the opening of at least two manholes and blowing in air. This will vaporize the gas space Hydrocarbons and other volatile compounds. After falling below the lower ignition limit, the cleaning personnel can go into the tank and his Take up activity with pumping etc.
- Disadvantages are the high primary but also diffuse emissions from the manholes and Seals of the lid. In this method, the energy content of the vapor Substances of the gas space, but also the extracted sludge for a material or chemical Recycling lost.
- Another method is the selective combustion of the vacuum from the tank extracted gases. This diffuse emissions are also avoided because of the Floating roof seals only air is sucked. This procedure combines the highest Claims to environmental protection (almost no harmful emissions) as well as to the Operational reliability.
- the disadvantage is that the energy content of the extracted gases is not used becomes. Also, the contaminated oil can not be immediately processed and recovered become.
- the invention aims to avoid these disadvantages and difficulties and provides the task, a method of the type described above and a system for Implementation of the process, which is not just an energy recovery the resulting in cleaning gases, but also an economically acceptable Separation of the residual sump into usable products and impurities is possible.
- this object is achieved by that obtained from the combustion of the gases extracted from the gas chamber energy the the residual sump forming sludge and / or the residual liquid is supplied.
- this energy obtained from the combustion of gases in the form sensible heat to the residual sump forming sludge and / or the residual liquid fed, where expedient the energy in the form of hot water and / or steam the the residual sump forming sludge and / or the residual liquid is supplied.
- the derived from the tank Sludge and the derived residual liquid to be subjected to decantation can, wherein pure liquid, in particular residual oil, and forming sludge concentrate be separated.
- the temperature of the exhaust gases which are introduced into the gas space, set, preferably regulated, where appropriate, the temperature setting and a homogenization of the concentration of the combustion gases supplied by Mixing of exhaust gases in the combustion gases supplied.
- a heat exchanger preferably for Preheating combustion air for the combustion chamber.
- a preferred variant is characterized in that a heat transfer medium in Circulation is performed, via a heat exchanger in the combustion chamber, a another heat exchanger, in a sludge discharge, with the sludge and / or Residual liquid of the residual sump is fed to a decanter, is installed, and preferably via a further temperature adjustment device, such as a bypass and / or another heat exchanger for adjusting a temperature of the heat transfer medium, before it in turn is fed to the heat exchanger of the combustion chamber.
- a further temperature adjustment device such as a bypass and / or another heat exchanger for adjusting a temperature of the heat transfer medium, before it in turn is fed to the heat exchanger of the combustion chamber.
- For heating of the residual sump in the tank is expedient part of the already heated Sludge and / or the heated residual liquid returned to the tank.
- a plant carrying out the process with a tank, one in the tank opening gas suction duct, which in height above a residual oil sump in the tank opens, a fan for the gas suction line and a burner for Burning of the means of the blower via the gas suction suctioned gas is according to the invention, characterized in that the burner is a heat exchanger for Heat is associated with a heat transfer medium, one of which heated Heat transfer medium to a heat exchanger for the residual sump forming sludge and the residual liquid leading line emanates.
- a heat exchanger for the residual sump forming sludge and the residual liquid provided outside the tank, which has a Mud discharge with mud pump connected to the tank.
- a heat exchanger for the sludge forming the residual sump and the Residual liquid provided in the tank is preferably, a heat exchanger for the sludge forming the residual sump and the Residual liquid provided in the tank.
- a particularly preferred plant for carrying out the method is characterized characterized in that the combustion chamber via an exhaust gas recirculation line with the Gas space of the tank is connected.
- the exhaust gas recirculation line via a bypass with the gas suction line connectable, wherein preferably the exhaust gas recirculation line with a Heat exchanger, preferably for preheating combustion air, is provided.
- a further preferred embodiment is characterized in that in one of Tank to a decanter leading sludge discharge a heat exchanger for heating for the sludge forming the residual sump and the residual liquid with the aid of the Heat exchanger is provided heated heat transfer medium, which heat exchanger in is provided a closed temperature-controlled circuit.
- FIG. 1 has a trained as a floating roof tank tank 1 for example Crude oil, or other flammable liquids floating on the liquid level Roof 3 up.
- This floating roof 3 arrives at the emptying of the tank 1 on supports 4 Overlay to move between a residual sump 5 remaining in the tank 1 when the tank 1 is empty; formed from sludge and residues of the stored liquid in the tank 1, a To create space that allows an operator to enter the tank 1 enter and clean the bottom 7 of the tank 1.
- the height of the free space is therefore usually about 2 m.
- a very large space 6 and gas space is formed, which can make up a volume of more than 20,000 m 3 , especially in large tanks.
- a steam or hot water line 15 of the steam or hot water enters the interior of the tank 1 to a arranged in the height of the residual sump 5 radiator 16, for example, formed from heating coils to heat there the residual sump 5.
- This in These heating coils forming condensate or cooler water is again as Cold water fed to the heat exchanger 13.
- the calorific value is on average 35,000 kJ / kg. If combustion is based on a thermal efficiency ⁇ of about 75%, this results in a recovered energy of 35 MJ / g ⁇ 28,800 kg ⁇ ⁇ .
- the particular advantage of the method according to the invention is thus in the meaningful Utilization of the energy contents of the gas located above the residual sump 5 as well as extraction of oil 20 from residual bottom 5.
- energy content of gas leaves lower the viscosity of the residual sump 5, so that this residual sump 5, so the mixture from sludge and oil, cleaned via a decanter centrifuge 19 or even a filter and can therefore be recycled as a valuable oil product.
- the accruing Waste is extremely low, since suspended matter is only in a few percent in the oil-sludge mixture are included.
- a gas suction line 8 leads from the tank 1, in the tank 1 at a height above the residual sump 5 and below the on the Supports 4 resting roof 3 in the tank 1 opens, via a fan 9 and Flammenschreibtschs rejoin 10 to a combustion chamber 11, in which the from the tank. 1 aspirated gas is burned, via a line 12 optionally air or additional fuel, if the gas sucked out of the tank 1 is already too diluted, is supplied.
- a Heat transfer medium e.g. Cold water, heated, to hot water or if necessary Steam.
- the thus heated heat transfer medium is guided in a line 15, in which line a heat exchanger 22 is provided, which serves, via a sludge discharge 17th with a mud pump 18 sucked residual sump 5, i. the mud and / or the Residual liquid, to heat.
- the so sucked and heated material of the residual sump 5 is, if hot enough, a decanter 19 by means of a mud pump 18 is supplied.
- This decanter 19 provides for separation of clean liquid, e.g. Pure oil 20 at an oil tank, and sludge concentrate 21.
- a valve 23 is provided, which makes it possible, at least part of the Return the material of the residual sump 5 to the tank 1, via the line 17 ', whereby the remaining sump 5 still in the tank 1 is heated in the tank 1 itself.
- the hydrocarbon-rich gas can be diluted by adding flue gas 26 to the desired value, which is done by the bypass 25.
- evaporative cooling as in described below and shown in Fig. 3, can be used:
- the concentration of the combustion gas supplied can also by a sg. "Quench" done, while water is fed via a supply line 36 in the Exhaust gas recirculation line 26 is injected by means of an injection nozzle 34 and thus is through Evaporative cooling set the desired temperature of the exhaust gas.
