Definitions

  • the invention relates to a device for maintaining a foot or a shoe, for which the maintenance of the foot or the shoe is done using at least one link.
  • the invention also relates to a link intended to be part of the device.
  • Such devices are used for snowboarding or snowboarding, skiing on snow or water, snowshoeing, rollerblading, or other.
  • a link device generally comprises a lateral part and a medial part which delimit between them a reception area of the foot or the shoe, as well as at least one link connected to each of the lateral and medial parts by a lateral attachment and a medial attachment. Each link is used to hold the foot or the shoe in the reception area.
  • Each portion of a link has a variable curvature, to adapt to the foot or the shoe. This is why each portion of a link comprises one or more layers of more or less flexible materials such as plastic, rubber, fabric, leather, or any equivalent material. The layers are shaped so that the link naturally has a curved shape, close to that which is hers when it closes the foot or the shoe.
  • the fasteners themselves orient the ends of the link in directions substantially tangent to the foot or the shoe.
  • each portion of the link tends to remain in a position of contour of the foot. or shoe.
  • the tightening of the link is done with little or no deformation. This promotes uniformity of clamping, the contact pressures exerted by the link being distributed uniformly.
  • the use of the device according to the prior art has a disadvantage.
  • the user When he wants to put on or off, the user must maintain at least a portion of a link away from the path of the foot or the shoe. This is especially true for footwear, which involves getting closer to the docking area. Indeed if it is not removed, the portion of the link is found under the foot or under the shoe. In this case the closure of the link is no longer possible, and the maintenance of the foot or the shoe is not done. In a sense of distance, during the heaving, the presence of the portion is also troublesome. If she is not kept out of the way, she rubs on the foot or the shoe.
  • Document DE-A-10149813 describes a link comprising a portion whose curvature is variable but not adjustable when it is in the open position.
  • One of the aims of the invention is to allow a temporary and stable release, partial or total, of the trajectory of the foot or the shoe, for a sense of approximation or removal from the reception area.
  • the invention proposes a device for holding a foot or a shoe, the device comprising a lateral part and a medial part delimiting a foot or shoe receiving zone, and at least one link connected to each of the lateral and medial portions by a lateral attachment and a medial clip, the link comprising at least one portion having a variable curvature.
  • the holding device according to the invention is characterized in that it comprises means for adjusting the curvature of at least part of the portion.
  • the user can adjust the curvature of the portion to maintain at least some, or all, away from the path of the foot or the shoe.
  • a foot or shoe can move more freely in a direction of approximation or distance from the reception area.
  • a benefit that arises is greater ease of entry or heaving, because the user does not have to maintain the portion apart at the same time he moves his foot. Therefore he can take stable and comfortable positions, and he can focus on the movement of the foot.
  • the separated portion can be reduced in a direction of closure of the link.
  • a holding device 1 allows the temporary maintenance on a board 2 of a shoe not shown.
  • the holding device 1 comprises a base 3 which extends longitudinally between a rear end 4 and a front end 5.
  • the base 3 has an upper face 6 provided to be facing the sole of the shoe, and a lower face 7 provided to be above the board.
  • the base 3 is retained in the board 2 by a means represented in the form of a disc 10, itself retained in the board 2 by screws 11.
  • the base 3 is bordered laterally by a lateral flange 12 and a medial flange 13.
  • Each of the flanges 12, 13 respectively form a lateral or medial part of the device 1 to define a reception area 14 of the shoe.
  • the flanges 12, 13 run along the sole laterally.
  • it could be provided other than the flanges 12, 13 to form the lateral and medial parts.
  • simple lateral and medial abutments may be suitable.
  • the flanges 12, 13 are connected by a hoop 15 at the rear end 4.
  • the base 3, the flanges 12, 13 and the hoop 15 form a single piece made for example of synthetic material.
  • the flanges or the hoop are parts secured to the base by any other means, such as gluing, welding, screwing, interlocking, or other.
  • a rear support member 16 allows a user to take backrests with the lower leg.
  • the rear support element 16 is secured to the flanges 12, 13 for example by means of a hinge 17.
  • a first link 20 lies forward, at the metatarsophalangeal joint when the foot is maintained.
  • a second link 21 is located aft, at the instep when the foot is held.
  • Each of the links 20, 21 extends transversely between the flanges 12, 13.
  • the second link 21 is represented in the form of a combination of three portions, which are a first attachment portion 22, a portion 23 of the boot, and a second fastening portion 24.
  • the first portion 22 has an attachment end 25 and a free end 26.
  • the attachment end 25 is connected to the lateral flange 12 by a lateral attachment.
  • the latter is represented in the form of a hinge, made for example by means of a rivet 30.
  • a first connecting means is provided for removably connecting the cover portion 23 to the first portion 22, the free end 26 of the first attachment portion 22 being above the cover portion 23.
  • This means comprises for example a ratchet clamping mechanism 31 attached to the cover portion 23, at a first end 32 thereof.
  • the means for connecting the covering portion 23 to the first portion 22 also comprises a series of teeth 33 shaped on the first portion 22. The teeth 33 are distributed from the free end 26 to near the joint 30.
  • the second attachment portion 24 has for its part an attachment end 40 and a free end 41.
  • the attachment end 40 is connected to the medial flange 13 by a medial clip.
  • the latter is represented in the form of a hinge, made for example by means of a rivet 42.
  • a second connecting means is provided for adjustably connecting the covering portion 23 to the second portion 24, the free end 41 of the second fastening portion 24 being above the covering portion 23.
  • This means comprises for example a screw 43 which is screwed into the cover portion 23, at a second end 44 thereof. The screw 43 passes through one of the holes 45 drilled in the second portion 24.
  • the user can make the second end 44 of the covering portion 23 near the medial flange 13.
  • the position adjustment of the covering portion 23 with respect to the second portion 24 is rarely modified . It is intended to take account of the footprint of the shoe.
  • the two joints are substantially along a transverse axis of the device, which allows the second link 21 to uniformly cover the shoe.
  • joints could be made by other means such as screws, pins, or other.
  • fasteners of the link 21 to the flanges 12, 13 could be made by other means, such as a winding around a passer, or other.
  • the link 21 is substantially inextensible in the direction of its length, that is to say from one flange to the other.
  • the materials that constitute it are chosen for this purpose.
  • the first and second portions 22, 24 preferably comprise, respectively, an elongated strip 46, 47 made from a synthetic material, such as a polyamide or a polyurethane, which may or may not be reinforced.
  • Each strip 46, 47 extends in length respectively from the attachment end 25, 40 to the free end 26, 41 of the attachment portion 22, 24.
  • the covering portion 23 in turn has an elongated shape. It extends in length between the first 32 and second 44 ends.
  • Each portion 22, 23, 24 is nevertheless more or less flexible. Its curvature is variable, and it can bend to fit the foot or the shoe.
  • the holding device 1 comprises means for adjusting the curvature of at least a portion of a portion 22, 23, 24 of the link 21.
  • portion 22, 23, 24 for example a form of bypass of the shoe, or a form of clearance away from the reception area 14. In this second case the shoes and heaps are facilitated.
  • an adjustment means makes it possible to adjust the curvature of a portion of the first portion 22 of the second link 21.
  • This means comprises a deformable element, represented by an elongate tab 50.
  • the latter is associated with the band 46 to form the first attachment portion 22. More precisely the tab 50 is embedded in the band 46. However the tab 50 could have been be associated with the band 46 otherwise, for example by being glued to the surface of the band, or by any other means.
  • the tab 50 is oriented substantially in the direction of the length of the strip 46. In this way along the tab 50, the latter and the band 46 have the same curvature.
  • the tab 50 preferably contains a metal or a metal alloy.
  • it may be an alloy of copper, steel, or other material. In the case of steel, a reduced yield strength can be sought. This makes the adjustment means plastically deformable. Thus by its manipulations the user can fold the tab 50, and a portion of the first attachment portion 22 accordingly. The tab 50 imposes its own curvature on the band 46.
  • the tab 50 has an elongate body 51 defined by a first 52 and a second 53 end, and a first 54 and a second 55 edges.
  • the ends 52, 53 are rounded and the edges 54, 55 are substantially straight. This gives the tab 50 an oblong shape. It follows a reduction of the risk of occurrence of cracks in the band 46 of the first portion 22.
  • the tab 50 is also pierced by a hole 56 for the passage of the rivet 30. Thus it is both the tab 50 and the band 46 that support the forces exerted in the attachment portion 22.
  • the tab 50 is still perforated towards the second end 53, beyond the hole 56.
  • a slot 57 with rounded ends 58, 59 passes through the tab 50.
  • the slot 57 locally weakens the tab 50 on a mechanical plane. It is thus easier to fold the tab 50 at the slot 57.
  • the slot 57 promotes the implantation of the tab 50 in the material constituting the band 46.
  • the tab 50 is substantially centered laterally between a first 65 and a second 66 edges of the strip 46.
  • the tab 50 is also substantially centered in the direction of the thickness, between a first face 67 which has the teeth 33 and a second face 68 smoother. This arrangement promotes a balanced distribution of the forces exerted in the first attachment portion 22.
  • Figure 8 is a plan view of a second attachment portion 80 for a link, not shown, which is similar to the second link 21 of the first example.
  • the second attachment portion 80 extends in length between a fastening end 81 and a free end 82, in width between a first edge 83 and a second edge 84, and in thickness between a first face 85 and a second face 86.
  • This means can be a screw, or other.
  • an adjustment means makes it possible to adjust the curvature of a portion of the second portion 80 of the second link.
  • This means comprises a deformable element, represented in the form of a link 95, associated with a band 96 to form the second portion 80.
  • the link 95 is affixed to the band 96, on the side of the first face 85.
  • the link 95 has a first 97 and a second 98 ends which are for example embedded respectively in a first 99 and a second 100 pads projecting on the first face 85.
  • any means other than a recess could be suitable, such as screwing, riveting, gluing, or other. It could also be expected that the link 95 is elsewhere, for example on the side of the second face 86, in a cavity of the strip 96, or other.
  • the link 95 has a first 101 and a second 102 lamellae which extend respectively between its ends 97, 98.
  • the lamellae 101, 102 are oriented substantially along the length of the band 96.
  • the link 95 is made from a blank 103 in the form of an arch.
  • a bridge 104 connects the lamellae 101, 102 to the first end 97 of the link 95, while towards the second end 98 of the link the lamellae 101, 102 respectively have first 105 and second 106 free ends.
  • the lamellae 101, 102 and the bridge 104 form a single piece. However it could have been planned several pieces associated with each other.
  • the lamellae 101, 102 are parallel to each other.
  • the blank 103 is substantially planar.
  • the lamellae 101, 102 and the bridge 104 are flat.
  • the lamellae 101, 102 and the bridge 104 are coplanar.
  • the blank 103 is preferably made from a sheet of a metal alloy.
  • a steel intended for the manufacture of springs is very suitable.
  • the link 95 comprises metal.
  • other materials may be considered, such as plastics.
  • each lamella 101, 102 has a rectangular section.
  • the link 95 formed is shown alone in FIG. 11. It is obtained by joining and securing to each other respective ends 105, 106 of the lamellae 101, 102.
  • the joining of the slats 101, 102 is carried out for example by punching.
  • a punch pushes the constituent material of the second end 106 through the first end 105.
  • the punch pierces the ends 105, 106 of the lamellae 101, 102. Then a shape folds the material of the second end 106 on the other side of the first end 105.
  • the ends 105, 106 of the slats 101, 102 are flat on one another.
  • the lamellae 101, 102 of the link 95 are directly connected at the level of the second end 98, while they are separated by the bridge 104 at the first end 97.
  • the parallelism of the lamellae 101, 102 is faded in one direction. It follows that the blank 103, which is substantially flat, gives rise to a curved link 95. More precisely the link 95 is naturally curved both longitudinally and transversely. The curvature can take two different stable states.
  • a first stable state is presented with the aid of FIGS. 13 and 15.
  • the link 95 has a first transverse curvature with respect to a reference plane A, as well as a first longitudinal curvature with respect to a reference plane B.
  • the transition from one to the other states can be done manually, or by any other action. Of course, nothing prevents the second portion 80 from adopting other curvatures than those taken naturally under the influence of the link.
  • the transition from one to the other stable states is by elastic deformation of the link 95.
  • the structure of the link 95 makes the adjustment means elastically deformable.
  • the passage of a curvature to the other of the second portion 80 is very noticeable by the user.
  • link 95 could have been achieved otherwise, for example by a molding in the shape of a plastic material.
  • the invention is made from materials and according to implementation techniques known to those skilled in the art.
  • any other structure or location may be provided for the means for adjusting the curvature of a link portion.
  • the invention can be implemented regardless of the number of portions included by the link.
