Definitions

  • the invention relates to the field of bindings for retaining a shoe on a gliding or rolling machine, such as a ski, a snowboard, a wheeled pad, or other.
  • each link can be opened or closed.
  • the length of the link can be adjusted.
  • a link comprises two strips each attached to one side of the binding, and a clamping device of the link. A manual action on a button of the device allows the opening of the link.
  • Closing the link requires the user to adjust the position of a band relative to the clamping device, then introduce the band into the device, and then reduce the length of the link including using a tape drive lever located on the device. To do this he usually needs to bend the body and lower limbs, and use both hands.
  • Closing the link is therefore a painful process that is time consuming for the user.
  • the document EP 958 846 proposes a fastener also provided with a link which comprises two bands connected by a clamping device.
  • a stop is attached to a free end of a strip, so as to be on the other side of the clamping device with respect to a fastening end of the band, thus preventing separation of the first band and the clamping device.
  • the clamping device according to the document EP 958 846 presents a complex structure and operation. It is indeed necessary to repeatedly manipulate a rotating handle to operate the device.
  • the invention particularly aims to make it easy and fast donning a fastener provided with links, while having a simple structure for the clamping device of the link.
  • an attachment intended to retain a boot on a gliding or rolling machine comprises a first lateral flange, a second lateral flange, and at least one link connecting the first flange to the second flange, the link comprising a first band which extends from one attachment end to a free end, the attachment end being attached to the first flange, the link further comprising a clamping device attached to the second flange, the clamping device allowing adjust the length of the link by retaining a portion of the first strip removably.
  • a stop is attached to the first band towards the free end of the band, so as to be on the other side of the clamping device with respect to the attachment end of the band, thus preventing separation of the band. first band and the clamping device.
  • the binding according to the invention is characterized in that the clamping device has a passage which comprises two wings connected by a bridge, a pawl being articulated between the wings along an axis, the pawl having a retaining end, an elastic means continuously urging the end towards the bridge, a drive lever being articulated between the wings along an axis, the lever having at least one drive tooth and a handling end, an elastic means continuously soliciting the lever that the teeth move away from the bridge.
  • the user does not have to adjust the position of the band with respect to the clamping device and then introduce the band into the device. He only needs to adjust the length of the link, which is possible with one hand.
  • a fastener 1 holds a boot 2 on a board 3.
  • the attachment 1 comprises a base 4 on which are attached a first lateral flange 5 and a second lateral flange 6, the flanges 5, 6 being connected by a bow 7.
  • the base 4 extends, in a longitudinal direction L of the attachment 1, between a front end 8 and a rear end 9 of the base.
  • the securing of the attachment 1 to the board 3 is by means represented in the form of a disc 10.
  • the attachment 1 also comprises a front link 13 and a rear link 14, each shown in a retaining position of the shoe 2 in FIG.
  • the front link 13 includes a first band 15, a second band 16, and a clamping device 17 for adjusting the length of the link.
  • the first band 15 is attached to the first flange 5, by means represented in the form of an articulation of axis 18.
  • the second band 16 is attached to the second flange 6, by means represented in the form of a axis articulation 19.
  • the connection of the first 15 to the second band 16 is by the clamping device 17, which for this purpose comprises in particular a drive lever 20 and a release button 21 of the first band 15.
  • the lever 20 and the button 21 make it possible to adjust the length of the link 13 by moving one band relative to the other.
  • the front link 13 is shown schematically in FIG. 2, in plan view, in a case where its length is reduced. This means that the first 15 and second 16 bands are superimposed over a fairly long distance.
  • the first band 15 extends between an attachment end 22 and a free end 23.
  • An orifice 24 formed in the attachment end 22 allows the passage of a fastening means such as a rivet for perform the axis articulation 18.
  • the second strip 16 extends between a fastening end 25 and a free end 26.
  • An orifice 27, formed in the fastening end 25, allows the passage of a fastening means such as a fastener. rivet to achieve the axis articulation 19.
  • Figure 3 discloses the internal structure of the link 13.
  • the first band 15 is in the form of a rack, the teeth 28 and the core 29 preferably form a single piece.
  • the clamping device 17 has a passage 30 for guiding the band 15.
  • the passage 30 is formed in particular by two wings 31, 32 connected by a bridge 33.
  • a pawl 34 is articulated between the wings along an axis 35.
  • the ratchet 34 has a retaining end 36 provided to oppose an elongation of the link 13, and an end forming the release button 21.
  • the end 36 is permanently urged towards the bridge 33, by a not shown elastic means such as a spring.
  • the driving lever 20 is articulated between the wings 31, 32 along an axis 37. It has at least one tooth 38 for driving the first band 15 in a shortening direction of the link 13.
  • An elastic means (not shown), such as a spring, constantly urges the lever 20 so that the teeth 38 move away from the bridge 33.
  • the clamping device 17 is fixed to the second band 16, for example by means of an axle rivet 39.
  • a stop 40 is fixed to the first band 15, so as to allow an extension of the link to a maximum length, and to prevent a separation of the first band 15 and the clamping device 17.
  • the abutment 40 is fixed to the free end 23 of the band 15, for example by interlocking the band 15 in a notch 41 of the abutment 40, combined with a means of retainer shown in the form of a rivet 42 which passes through the strip 15 and the notch 41.
  • abutment 40 is guided along the second strip 16 by a guiding means represented in the form of a screw 43 which passes through a longitudinal slot 44 of the second strip 16.
  • the screw 43 is screwed into the abutment 40.
  • the screw 43 has a head whose diameter is greater than the width of the slot 44.
  • the stop 40 can not pass in the corridor 30, because its width is greater than the distance between the wings 31, 32. As a result, the bands can not separate.
  • Each of the links 13, 14 is lengthened by manual action of the user, so as to leave a space between the shoe and the link. When each space is large enough, the shoe can be removed from the binding. Since the straps of the links are hinged to the flanges 5, 6 of the attachment 1, it is possible to tilt the links 13, 14 towards the front of the binding. In the case of the link before 13, the tilting is done by rotation along the axes 18, 19. After tilting, the links are contained substantially in a plane parallel to the base 4.
  • each of the front and rear links 14 is such that, when it is tilted towards the front of the binding 1, it bypasses the front end of the boot 2 if it is in place on the base 4 and in contact with the arch 7.
  • the front link 13 may have a maximum length of between 25 and 50 cm, and the rear link 14 may have a maximum length of between 45 and 85 cm.
  • a stop 60 is fixed to the first band 61 of a link to the free end 62 of the band 61.
  • the stop 60 and the first band 61 are represented under the form of a single piece.
  • the attachment of the stop 60 to the band 61 is a broad expression which means that the stop and the band are integral with each other.
  • the stop 60 protrudes from a face 63 of the strip.
  • the abutment 60 is shown in the form of a wedge whose face 64, substantially perpendicular to the face 63, faces the rack 65 of the band 61.
  • the face 64 bears on the pawl to prevent opening of the link, because the face 64 is higher than the teeth of the rack 65.
  • the band 61 preferably has a longitudinal slot 66.
  • a stop 70 is fixed to the first band 71 of a link towards the free end 72 of the band 71.
  • the stop 70 and the first band 71 are represented under the form of a single piece.
  • the abutment 70 has the shape of an arrowhead which comprises two lateral teeth 73, 74 partly separated at least by a slot 75.
  • the teeth 73, 74 prevent opening of the link by resting on the wings of the clamping device.
  • the slot 75 allows the teeth 73, 74 to be brought together, under the action of an external force, for mounting or disassembly of the link.
  • the band 71 preferably has a longitudinal slot 77.
  • the stop 40 could be achieved otherwise.
  • the stop is made in the form of a loop 45 fixed to the free end 46 of a first band 47.
  • the passer is wide enough to play his acting as a stop, but at the same time it allows guiding of the free end along a second band 48 of the rear link 14.
  • the second band 48 has a continuous width.
  • the clamping device of the first band could have a different structure. Additional layers can be added to the link, in particular to ensure protection functions or comfort of use.
  • a link could include only one band and a clamping device.
  • the clamping device is attached directly to a flange of the fastener.
  • a link could include more than two bands.
  • the attachment may not include the base, the flanges being in this case directly secured to the board.
  • the binding according to the invention can be used in other areas such as skiing, snowshoeing on snow, or other.
