Definitions

  • the invention relates to a sink, preferably made of stainless steel, with an essentially horizontal surface area in the installed state and a recess integrally formed therein.
  • a sink is usually used in kitchens or laboratories, the sink with its integrally formed recess being inserted into the cutout of a kitchen or worktop.
  • Various fixing means are known for fastening the sink in a support.
  • folds are provided on the underside of the sink, in which claws and screwing means engage.
  • the sink is attached using the try-and-error principle, as access to the fixation means is in an area below the support.
  • a check whether the sink actually occupies a desired position can only be done by visual inspection from a position above the support.
  • Accessibility to the fixing means is particularly problematic in the area of the flushing fittings.
  • the sink and support are only joined at certain points using the fixing means mentioned, which can lead to deformation of the metal sheet of the sink, in particular the corrugated surface.
  • a clip system is also known in which the sink and the support are joined together with the aid of clips.
  • the problem here is that a particularly precise fit must be observed when producing the cutout in the support and when assembling the components of the clips.
  • liquid adhesive is provided in an area between the underside of a surface area of the sink and the support. After inserting the sink in the support, it is necessary to press the sink against the support, since the pressure generated by the sink's own weight is insufficient. It is problematic that the final position of the liquid adhesive cannot be predetermined, so that the liquid adhesive can emerge in regions from the edge region of the sink into a visible area.
  • the assembly means should also be inexpensive and easy to manufacture.
  • the sink has the following features:
  • an adhesive is provided which connects the surface area to a support;
  • flexible spacers are provided, at least in sections, which keep the surface area of the sink and the support at a distance without being pressed by an operator and without contact between the adhesive and the support, and whose flexibility allows horizontal displacement of the Allows sink to be adjusted within the support and which can be compressed by an operator when pressed so that adhesive and support come into adhesive contact.
  • the flexible spacers are partially compressed due to the sink's own weight and allow the sink to be moved horizontally for adjustment within the support.
  • This adjustment process can go hand in hand with a deformation of the flexible spacers as well as with a relative change in position between the standing surface of the spacers and the support.
  • Alignment is particularly convenient because the sink's own weight is absorbed by the spacers and the support and a technician can bring the sink into a desired position, whereby the visual check whether the sink actually occupies a desired position can be carried out without that the fitter has to change between layers below and exactly above the support.
  • a perfect alignment of the sink in the cutout of the support is also possible if the cutout deviates slightly from a target shape. Abstract
