Definitions

  • the subject of the present invention is a device for coupling a tool at the end of the boom or pre-boom of a machine such as a shovel hydraulic.
  • the invention relates to a device for attaching and detaching quickly and easily, without direct operator intervention, a tool, such as a pendulum, a jackhammer, or a drill, at the end the boom or a pre-boom of a machine such as a hydraulic shovel.
  • a tool such as a pendulum, a jackhammer, or a drill
  • the technical problem underlying the invention is to achieve this coupling in a simple way, by implementing only a limited number of additional parts, and ensuring the recovery of forces by the organs original link of the pendulum.
  • the hooks of receiving the tool axis are located in the lower part and open upwards, and the interface locking means are located in the upper part.
  • the coupler is articulated on the axis of the end of the arrow, and is actuated by the jack provided on the boom to traditionally actuate the pendulum or tool.
  • the means for fixing the interface to the coupler located opposite the side open hooks consist of two surfaces respectively of the coupler and interface coming into contact, and by an eccentric system mounted on the coupler, and whose eccentric is intended to come to bear against a surface of the interface, to keep it pressed against the coupler, in the tool mounted position on the boom.
  • the interface locking eccentric can be actuated by a jack.
  • the actuation means of each locking hook is constituted by a double-acting cylinder whose the body is articulated on the coupler and whose rod is articulated on the hook or on a piece linked to it.
  • the actuation means of each locking hook includes at least one spring actuation to the locking position of the axis and separate means actuation to the axis release position.
  • the means for locking each hook in the axis locking position consist of an eccentric system comprising an eccentric pivotally mounted on the coupler body under the action of a jack, intended to come lean against a surface of the hook, to keep it in position blocked when the tool is mounted on the boom.
  • a finger or the like, secured to the eccentric is intended to come to rest against a surface or a member secured to the hook to actuate it towards its release position of the axis, when the eccentric is actuated from its blocking position of the hook towards its release position, or activate the hook towards its axis locking position when the eccentric is actuated in the direction reverse.
  • the eccentrics respectively locking the interface on the coupler and locking of the tool axis locking hook, have surfaces coming into contact with each other, in the tool mounted position on the boom, the contact surfaces of the two eccentrics being substantially flat for that of the interface locking eccentric and shaped cylinder portion for that of the eccentric blocking of the hook locking, so that the locking hook eccentric locking secures the interface locking on the coupler.
  • the means of fixing the interface on the coupler consist of at least one bolt or similar associated with a hydraulic actuator, such as a jack, with an axis parallel to the attachment axis of the tool, intended to come to engage in a cavity formed in the tool interface, in the tool mounted position on the boom.
  • a hydraulic actuator such as a jack
  • the tool interface the interface of the tool has on the one hand a flat surface intended to serve support on a flat surface of the coupler to ensure the recovery of forces and on the other hand, an inclined surface for guiding the bolt, corresponding to a recoil of it during the coupling operation, the interface cavity comprising on the arrival side of the finger a support surface inclined from the bottom of the cavity towards the outside and towards the arrival side of the finger, while the latch has a flat of the same inclination, intended to come into contact with the bearing surface of the cavity, in the mounted position of the tool on the boom.
  • the means of locking of the tool axis locking hooks consist of a bolt associated with a hydraulic actuator such as a cylinder with an axis parallel to that hooks, this bolt bearing, in the open position hooks against the side face of a hook, and being intended to come to engage in a cavity or a recess of this hook, when the latter is in the locked position of the tool axis.
  • interface locking solutions on the coupler and locking tool axis locking hooks can be combined, an eccentric solution can be combined with a bolt-locked solution, whatever the position of the eccentric and whatever the position of the locking bolt to achieve one or the other of the two types of locking.
  • Figure 1 is a general view of a hydraulic excavator boom connected to a pendulum by means of the device according to the invention.
  • Figure 2 is an exploded perspective view on an enlarged scale of a first embodiment of this device.
  • Figures 3 and 4 are two views, in longitudinal section and to scale enlarged, of a first type of interface locking on the coupler, at during locking and after locking.
  • Figure 5 is a side view on an enlarged scale of the device according to the invention.
  • Figure 6 is a sectional view of this device along line VI-VI of figure 5.
  • Figure 7 is a perspective view showing a hook locking of the axis of the tool and a locking device thereof.
  • Figure 8 is a perspective view showing two hooks tool axis locking with another locking mode.
  • Figure 9 is a side view showing another shape execution of the tool axis locking hook and another mode actuation thereof.
  • Figures 10 and 11 are two side views, partially in section, representing the device according to the invention in two positions, with setting work of two eccentrics respectively for locking the interface on the coupler and for blocking the locking pins of the axle the tool.
  • Figure 1 shows an arrow 2 belonging to a shovel hydraulic.
  • a balance 3 comprising an axis 4.
  • the arrow 2 is equipped with a jack double acting hydraulic 5 which is usually intended to operate directly the balance 3.
  • a coupler 6 is mounted at the end of the arrow 2, while the balance 3 is equipped with an interface 7.
  • the coupler 6 comprises, at the bottom, two open hooks 8 upwards, in which is intended to accommodate the axis 4 of the pendulum.
  • the axis 4 of the balance can be equipped with elements extending it, to allow engagement in square brackets 8. This could be, for example, two sleeves arranged on the axis on either side of the balance, allowing to immobilize the axis in translation in constant section, without intervention on the balance.
  • the interface consists of a block 9 fixed on the balance, in the upper part thereof, comprising in particular a cavity 10, opening inwards.
  • a hydraulic cylinder 12 On the coupler 6 is fixed a hydraulic cylinder 12 whose rod carries a bolt 13 intended to come to engage in the cavity 10.
  • the interface 9 has a surface guide 14 for the bolt 13, this guide surface being inclined by so as to correspond to a retreat of the bolt 13 when the latter is moved along from the surface 14 towards the cavity 10.
  • the cavity 10 comprises, on the side of the guide surface 14, a surface 15 inclined from the bottom of the interface to the outside of it and towards the surface of guide 14. This inclined surface is intended to cooperate with a flat 16 with the same inclination as the bolt 13.
  • This arrangement makes it possible to make up for play in the system contact areas using the jack hydraulic 12, a residual force being constantly developed by the jack hydraulic 12.
  • Block 9 also includes a flat surface 33 forming a stop, protruding from the upper face of the block.
  • Figures 3 and 4 show the locking device of the upper part of the interface respectively during the approach phase and at the start of the locking phase.
  • the bolt 13 begins to move back when it moves along the guide surface 14, before entering the cavity 10.
  • the orientation of the faces 15, 16 and the friction conditions are such that a pendulum action on the bolt is directly taken up by the structure of the coupler and not by the hydraulic actuator of the finger.
  • Figures 5 to 7 show that the coupler is equipped with two locking hooks 17, mounted articulated around the axis 18 of which is equipped with arrow 2 and which is also used for mounting the coupler 6, these two hooks 17 being intended to lock the axis 4 of the pendulum when the latter is introduced into the hooks 8 of the coupler 6.
  • the coupler 6 also includes a flat surface 34 intended coming to bear with the surface 33 of the interface 7, in the coupled position.
  • the hooks 17 are actuated by a hydraulic cylinder 20 whose body is mounted on the coupler 6.
  • a hydraulic cylinder 22 is provided with an axis parallel to the axis 18 of articulation of the hooks 17, this jack 22 carrying a bolt 23 which, when the hook is in the open position and intended to bear on the inner face of the hook and which when the hook 17 is in the locked position engages in a recess 24 of the hook, preventing any opening accidental of it.
  • FIG. 8 represents a variant of the means for blocking the locking hooks 17.
  • the blocking is carried out by by means of two eccentrics 25, articulated on the coupler 6 around a axis 26, and actuated in rotation by a double-acting hydraulic cylinder 27.
  • FIG. 9 represents an alternative embodiment in which the same elements are designated by the same references as above.
  • each locking hook is normally held in the locked position by the action of a spring 28.
  • an eccentric 25 actuated by a jack 27 ensures the blocking of the hook 17 in the locked position.
  • a finger 29 which, when the eccentric is moved from the position shown in the Figure 9 to an unlocked position, comes to rest behind a pin 30 integral with the hook 17, to actuate the hook 17 towards its position opening.
  • FIGS 10 and 11 show an alternative embodiment in which the same elements are designated by the same references as previously.
  • each hook 17 to its open position by the contact finger 29 on the part 30 by means of the surface marked guide opening (29a), and actuation to its closed position by the contact 29 and 30 by means of the surface marked closing guide (29b).
  • the blocking of the hook 17 in the locked position is produced by an eccentric 25.
  • the locking interface of the upper part is constituted by a part 32 comprising an abutment surface 33 against a complementary surface 34 of the coupler, and a surface 35 in the form of hook, behind which is intended to engage an eccentric 36 mounted on the coupler 6, and actuated by a jack 37. It should be noted that locking position, shown in Figure 10, a surface substantially plane 38 of the eccentric 36 is in contact with a cylindrical surface 39 of the eccentric 25.
  • the eccentric 25 therefore secures the locking of the part high. To unlock, it is first necessary to activate eccentric 25 clockwise, movement during from which the cylindrical surface 39 of the eccentric 25 will escape the surface plane 38 of the eccentric 36. The eccentric 36 can then be actuated also clockwise, to escape the surface 35 of the interface 32. It can be seen in FIG. 11, that during this movement, the finger 29, associated with the eccentric 25, ensures the pivoting of the hook 17 to its open position.
  • the pendulum is hooked up in a simple way, by gripping the axis 4 thereof using the hooks 8 of the coupler, then placing in contact with the surfaces 33 and 34 respectively of the interface and the coupler, before actuation by the hydraulic cylinders 27 and 37 of the eccentrics 25 and 36.
  • the invention provides great improvement to existing technique by providing a design device simple, allowing the adaptation on the boom of a hydraulic excavator or a other machine, different types of tools.
