Claims (5)

  1. An apparatus for producing packs (10), it being possible for an article which is to be packaged, in particular a cuboidal cigarette pack, to be folded around or wrapped in a blank (11), in particular an outer wrapper made of film, with a continuously rotating folding turret (13) for transporting the article and with a fixed-location, movable folding element for folding peripheral folding tabs (27, 28) into a transversely directed position, the folding element being configured as a rotating folding reel or folding roller (34) that can be moved relative to the article while carrying along part of the blank (11) in the direction of a exposed edge or to the peripheral folding tab (27) and pressing the blank (11) onto a surface or wall of the article in the process, characterized in that the rotating folding element can be moved, by making linear or strip-like contact, in a continuous rolling movement along a surface of the article directed tangentially to the circumference of the folding turret (13) while exerting pressure and tension on the blank (11) in the process.
  2.
