Claims (6)

  1. Cutlery basket for substantially horizontal reception of cutlery, for use in a dishwashing machine (1), with a base region for support of the items of cutlery, characterised in that at least one pivot joint (4) is so arranged in the base region and constructed that at least a part region (2) of the base region is pivotable relative to a remaining region (3) of the base region.
  2. Cutlery basket according to claim 1, characterised in that at least a part region (2) of the base region of the cutlery basket is at least lowerable relative to a remaining region (3) of the base region.
  3. Cutlery basket according to claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the plane of the lowered part region (2) of the base region meets the plane of the remaining region (3) of the base region over an angle between 180° and 270°.
  4. Cutlery basket according to any one of claims 1 to 3, characterised in that means (5) preventing further lowering of the part region (2) beyond a specific angle are provided at the lowerable part region (2) of the base region.
  5. Cutlery basket according to claim 4, characterised in that the means (5) are arranged at a substantially lateral wall (6) connected with the part region of the base region.
  6. Cutlery basket according to claim 5, characterised in that the means are supported at a corresponding region (7) of the cutlery basket.
