Description

The invention relates to a heart of a switch, according to the preamble of claim 1, and a switch with such a heart.

Centerpieces of the aforementioned type are already known from DE - U - 66 00 010 or DE - U - 66 10 186. In the known embodiments, the two top pieces of the frog point are designed as special profiles, which are firmly connected via welded joints with the connecting rails. The spring mobility of the frog point results from corresponding spring points on the connecting rails. At the spring points the connecting rails are notched, except or weakened in some other way.

A disadvantage of the known design, however, is that the welded joints between the tip pieces and the connecting rails are in the moving area of the frog point. Thus, the connection area is subject to considerable burdens, which carries the risk of breakage and thus represents a security risk.

Another disadvantage of the known design is that it is the special pieces at the top pieces, which are not only relatively expensive, but also have a relatively high weight. Due to the high weight sometimes not insignificant actuating forces and correspondingly dimensioned drives are required. In cramped conditions, this can lead to significant problems. Furthermore, another centerpiece of the type mentioned in the opening paragraph is known from US Pat. No. 4,453,814.

Object of the present invention is therefore to provide a centerpiece of the type mentioned above, which is simple and inexpensive to manufacture, requires low actuating forces and do not occur in the security risks even after frequent placement.

The previously derived object is achieved by the features of claim 1 '. Of particular advantage in this context is that as.

Tongue rail profiles standardized rule tongue rail profiles, in particular manganese tongue rails are used, wherein the connection points of the tip pieces are provided to the connection rails outside the spring-moving range.

The inventive design results in a number of significant advantages. By using standardized rule-tongue rails as point pieces can be made of simple and inexpensive profiles that need to be edited only by erosive machining to the new use as a top piece of a heart. It can be dispensed with expensive custom-made. In addition, rule tongue rails are characterized by a reduced weight compared to the custom-made tip pieces, so that correspondingly lower actuating forces and correspondingly smaller-sized drives are required. Furthermore, the use of rule tongue rail profiles, the tip pieces are made relatively long, so that the spring points provided in the region of the tip pieces and thus the connection points of the tip pieces to the connecting rails outside the resiliently movable area. Thus, the joint is moved out of the moving area of the frog point, so that the risk that dissolves or breaks the connection between the tip pieces and the connecting rails, is reduced.

The tip pieces can in principle be connectable by any possible connection with the connecting rails. However, since the tip pieces are subject to considerable wear due to their mobility, it makes sense if they can be connected, in particular screwed, in a mechanically detachable manner, ie without a material connection and, in particular, without a welded connection, to the connecting rails. Particularly favorable in this context, it is that the tip pieces each have a correspondingly machined oblique or S-shaped mounting portion with screw holes at the ends, to be screwed to the processed in the corresponding manner ends of the connecting rails. This type of training of the mounting area not only ensures a good transition from the top pieces on the connecting rails, it can also be a quick replacement of worn tip pieces by new realize.

It is particularly advantageous in this context that the expansion joint between the two tip pieces at the front end and the front tip of the frog point is provided. In this embodiment, it is thus so that the expansion joint, which is required to realize the relative movement of the two top parts to each other when setting the frog point, is moved all the way forward to the frog point. As a result, when passing over the wheel only one, in any case unavoidable point of discontinuity results, namely directly at the front end of the frog tip, where now also the expansion joint ends. Ultimately, a harmonious wheel overflow is achieved in this way.

In this context, the expansion joint should be formed as a continuous rectilinear, leading through the front end gap between the tip pieces. Such a configuration can be realized easily by appropriate milling. Ultimately, this also results in that both tip pieces have the same length, which is not the case in the prior art with resiliently movable tip pieces.

The coupling between the two point pieces is advantageously carried out via a positive engagement in the vertical direction, which simultaneously allows movement of the tip pieces in the horizontal direction, which is required when adjusting the frog point. Conveniently, the aforementioned positive connection can be formed by a tongue and groove connection, wherein at the end region of a tip piece a groove is provided, while at the end region of the other tip piece a spring corresponding thereto is provided. The groove and the spring can be easily produced by abrading the front end portion of the tip pieces.

In the individual figures, a core 1 or components of this core 1 are shown. The heart 1 is part of a turnout, not shown. The heart 1 has a frog tip 2 with two spring-movable tip pieces 3, 4. The frog point 2 is presently arranged between two wing rails 5, 6. The wing rails 5, 6 are anchored on ribbed or floor slabs with underground.

In the illustrated embodiments, it is now provided that the tip pieces 3, 4 respectively of tongue rail profiles, namely standardized Regular tongue rail profiles, in particular of manganese tongue rails has been produced, by erosive machining. Tongue rail profiles, which are at least partially machined at the end, from which ultimately the tip pieces 3, 4 are produced, are shown in FIGS. 7 to 12.

In the illustrated embodiment, a welded connection is provided in each case as a connection. The tip pieces 3, 4 have immediately after the connecting rails 7, 8 each have a rail with outer flanks 9, 10. After a short transition region, the tip pieces 3, 4 are substantially free of edges over substantially the entire residual length. Only in the region of the connection of the actuator section sections a short length piece may be provided, as shown in Fig. 3. Due to the flangeless training, the spring points of the tip pieces 3, 4 subsequent to the flanks 9, 10 having transition region to the connecting rails 7, 8

In the embodiment shown in FIGS. 5 and 6, the wing rails 5, 6 are provided on a block-like base body 11. The main body 11 may be formed integrally with the wing rails 5, 6. The use of a block-like base body 11 has the advantage that the frog point 2 can be made slightly thicker, since the head width of the wing bills 5, 6 can be adjusted as needed in the block. For standard wing rails, this is not possible, since a minimum head width of the wing rail must not be undercut.

In the embodiment shown in FIGS. 5 and 6, the tip pieces project beyond the wing rails 5, 6 in the track direction. The flanks 9, 10 having area is extended. Moreover, it is in the embodiment shown in FIGS. 5 and 6 so that the edge 9 has a greater length than the flank 10, so that can be set very specific spring characteristics of the tip pieces 3, 4.

In FIGS. 7 to 10 partially machined tip pieces 3, 4 are shown. From this representation results in the rest of the tongue control profile. The front end portion 12, 13 is at least partially processed. In the embodiment 11 and 12, the illustrated tip piece 4 is provided at the end with an S-shaped mounting portion 14 having screw holes 14a. Corresponding thereto, a corresponding fastening region is provided on the respective connecting rail in order to achieve a mechanically easily detachable connection between the respective point piece and the connecting rails in this way.

In the embodiment shown in FIGS. 7 to 10, the S-shaped mounting portion 14 is not necessarily provided. The tip pieces 3, 4 could also be screwed to the connecting rails, as is the case in the embodiment of FIG. 1. In any case, it is in the embodiment according to FIGS. 7 to 10 so that the longer edge 9 of the rail foot of the tongue profile is located in each case outside. However, this can be changed as needed. This will be discussed in more detail in connection with FIG.

Incidentally, in the illustrated embodiments, it is such that the expansion joint 15 provided between the tip pieces 3, 4 is provided at the front end 16 and the front tip of the frog tip 2, respectively, ends there. In the expansion joint 15 is a continuous rectilinear, leading through the front end 16 joint between the tip pieces 3, 4. The two tip pieces 3, 4 have otherwise the same length. In the state shown in Fig. 5, in which the tip piece 3 rests against the wing rail portion 5, the front tip and the front end 16 of the tip piece 3 is slightly opposite to the front end 16 of the tip piece 4 over. In the other position, when the tip piece 4 bears against the wing rail section 6, the conditions are reversed.

Due to the arrangement of the expansion joint 15 in the middle between the two tip pieces 3, 4 results in only a single interruption of the driving edge 17, namely between the step 18 at the respective wing rail and the front end 16 of the frog tip 2 and the tip pieces 3, 4. This However, interruption of the running edge 17 is basically provided at each transition from the wing rails to the frog point and unavoidable.

In addition, between the tip pieces 3, 4 a vertically positive connection is provided, which permits a movement of the tip pieces in the horizontal direction, which occurs when the frog point. Structurally, this is realized by a spring-groove connection 19, as shown in Fig. 4. In detail, for this purpose, the front end portion 12 of a tip piece 3, a spring 20 in the manner of a projection which engages in a groove 21 in the front end portion 13 of the tip piece 4. Both the spring 20 and the groove 21 have been produced by abrasive machining of the tongue rail profile.

In Fig. 3, a situation is shown in which the actuator 22 is connected to the frog point 2. In the illustrated embodiment, it is such that the tip piece 4 in the areas in which the coupling of the actuator 22 is provided, an engaging portion 23 has. This attacking portion 23 is a remaining part of the flank 9. Applied to the engaging portion 23 is in this area the tip piece 3. It should be noted that has been dispensed with the representation of the tongue and groove connection 19. For the tip piece 3, a corresponding recess 24 in the engaging portion 23 is provided on the underside. The engaging portion 23, which has a small extension in the track direction, is passed through an opening in the rail web of the wing rail 5 and connected to a connecting link 25 with the actuator 22.

Moreover, the two wing rails in this area are also connected to each other by a screw 26, wherein the screw connection is such that the two tip pieces 3, 4 can still move relative to each other in the horizontal direction.
