Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a device for stable machine operation Printing units of a rotary printing press for operation with part width Printing material according to claim 1.
The printing process, for example in the case of production with part-width paper webs, being on the non-printing areas of the rollers of the inking unit, in particular on the two ends of these rollers, an ink dissolving or decomposing solvent is applied or applied dropwise to the ink applied and accumulated at the ends of the rollers on one Loss of solvent and thus of a resulting drying out and Prevent ink from sticking.
The disadvantage is that this is on the rollers or in the edge region of the rollers applied solvents with time and with increasing speed hoses off and the printing press is dirty. In addition, you can Drying problems occur on the edge of the paper web, resulting in a Lubricate in the dryer or deposit and / or mark in the rebate structure or Folding unit can occur.
The invention is based on the object of eliminating the disadvantages mentioned above and a device for stable machine running on printing units Offset rotary printing machine for operation with changing and partly wide To create printing material, by means of which the ink does not dry out printing areas of the rollers and cylinders of the printing unit is prevented and thus the stickiness - the so-called tack - on a low level is held to reduce the risk of web breaks, as well as the burden on the Reduce rollers and blankets.
This task is characterized by the features in the characterizing part of the Claim 1 solved.
Advantageous embodiments of the invention are related to the subclaims with the description.
It is important that the device is used to apply a non-flowing medium, for example a commercially available roller paste or roller grease, to the non-printing areas of a cylinder or roller in the inking or dampening unit in a finely distributed manner by means of blown air.
The non-flowing medium adheres to the surface of the cylinder or roller and prevents the ink from drying out and accumulating.
The non-flowing medium is applied to the surface, ie to the non-printing areas, of the cylinder or roller in the inking or dampening unit by means of compressed air by means of a pump system with a distributor unit. The non-flowing medium can be applied, for example, by means of a metering nozzle on the rider roll, for example a ceramic rider roll, or on any other incoming nip. Splitting processes distribute the non-flowing medium to the non-printing areas in the entire inking unit or in the entire roller mill.
When operating with a wide web, ink collects in the non-printing zones. Therefore, squeegee units can also be adjusted to the non-printing areas of the rider roller in order to remove the mixture of printing ink and non-flowing medium that adheres and accumulates in the course of the printing process. Due to the axial movement of the distribution cylinder in an inking unit, the ink has the property during the printing process that it migrates outwards on the individual rollers and / or cylinders and builds up on the rollers. The color build-up on the one hand causes spraying and contamination of the machine, on the other hand the color build-up causes greater wear on the rollers and blankets and reduces their service life.
With the doctor units it is now possible to generate an ink flow by the doctor unit removing the ink from the rider roller and feeding it to the ink collector. By axially displacing the squeegees on their take-up unit, or arranging them in a certain way, ink separations on the roller or adjustments to narrower substrates can also be made.
On the one hand, the squeegees determine the track edge of the color strip. However, since several squeegees can be arranged closely next to each other, the entire area that should remain free of ink can be covered, so that the ink is certainly prevented from spreading beyond the edge of the track even with a longer printing time. However, the width of the individual doctor blades can also be adapted to the width of the ink-free zone, the doctor blades of different widths being arranged interchangeably.
vermeiden. The doctor units are operated from the control center. For example, after a time cycle that can be set at the control station, the ink / protective medium mixture is removed by the doctor device, for example, from the rider roll or other rolls and / or cylinders, both the switch-off and switch-on times being freely selectable depending on the production requirements. After each adjustment or doctoring process, fresh, non-flowing protective medium, for example roller paste, is applied with a short time delay and the cycle begins again.
The doctor blades can be turned on and off by means of a pneumatic cylinder, the contact pressure of the doctor blade being adjustable on the rider roller. The squeegee must be set evenly but only slightly in order to avoid excessive wear.
The automated dosing of roller paste in the edge areas of the inking unit or the printing unit reduces the load on the rubber cylinder sleeve, the rubber blanket and the inking rollers, especially for part-width productions.
Depending on the width of the substrate, a corresponding number of doctor blades are to be attached.
The ink / protective medium mixture removed from the squeegee is collected in an ink pan which is arranged below the squeegee. This must be emptied from time to time.
At least 2 lubrication points are provided on a printing unit in order to allow the to be able to apply the non-flowing medium to non-printing areas.
