  4. Device according to any of claims 1 to 3, characterised in that the delivery means (14) or the capillary (15) is constructed separately from the contact glue nozzle (12) and attached to the latter.
  5. Device according to claim 4, characterised in that the delivery means (14) or the capillary (15) is optionally provided with a distance d from the contact glue nozzle (12) or abuts closely against it.
  6. Device according to any of claims 1 to 4, characterised in that the delivery means (14) or the capillary (15) forms an integral part of the contact glue nozzle (12).
  7. Device according to any of claims 1 to 6, characterised in that the delivery means (14) or the capillary (15) forms part of a measuring unit (27).
  8. Device according to claim 7, characterised in that the measuring unit (27) further includes a pressure regulator (28), a store (29) for holding the substance (25), a pipe system (30), a fine filter (31), a fine measuring valve (32), a directional control valve (33) and a control unit (34).
  9. Device according to claim 7 or 8, characterised in that the measuring unit (27) is of modular construction.
  10. Device according to any of claims 1 to 9, characterised in that the substance (25) is a low-viscosity fluid, preferably water.
  11. Method for the application of glue to a moving web, in particular a strip-like cigarette paper web in a continuous cigarette-making machine, or folding box blanks in a cigarette-packing machine, wherein the optionally continuously or intermittently moving web is conveyed past a contact glue nozzle (12) and provided with glue (11) by means of the contact glue nozzle (12), characterised in that directly behind the contact glue nozzle (12) in the direction of transport of the moving web is delivered by means of a capillary (15) a substance (25) suitable for liquefaction of the glue (11).
  12. Method according to claim 11, characterised in that excess glue formed behind the contact glue nozzle (12) is liquefied directly behind the contact glue nozzle (12).
  13. Method according to claim 11 or 12, characterised in that the excess glue is liquefied by means of a low-viscosity fluid, preferably water, by conducting the water directly behind a contact region (26) formed between the contact glue nozzle (12) and the moving web, e.g. the cigarette paper (19).
  14. Method according to any of claims 11 to 13, characterised in that the substance (25) is delivered cyclically.
  15. Method according to any of claims 11 to 14, characterised in that delivery of the substance (25) is controlled by means of a measuring unit (27) as a function of time and/or quantity.
  16. Method according to any of claims 12 to 15, characterised in that the liquefied/thinned excess glue is conveyed further in the direction of transport.
