- the end edge 16 ( Figures 1, 3 and 5) comprises a cavity 58, while the end face 18 comprises an extension 60, of complementary shape, to respectively form a female socket and a male socket.
- the presence of these interlockings meets two main objectives: to achieve an effective connection between two successive interjoists, and to provide support on three sides for an interjoist at the end of the span. These two points make it possible to notably improve the resistance capacity of the interjoist vis-à-vis the movement of site personnel, while reducing the "edge effect".
- the cells are arranged in three rows parallel to each other and parallel to the general direction of the upper face 12 and the lower face 14. They comprise an intermediate row of cells 62, called demodulation cells, (see FIG. 3) which are four in number in the embodiment and each of which has a generally rectangular shape, being delimited by an upper face 64, a lower face 66 and two lateral faces 68 and 70.

The particular position of this passage makes it possible not to significantly alter the resistance of the assembly. It avoids the anarchic installation of inserts which could be arranged in the sensitive zones, from the point of view of the resistance, of the interjoist.
