• the present invention relates to a device, suitable in particular for placing items of mail and parcels therein, provided with a housing, with a delivery chamber and a storage chamber, the delivery chamber being accessible from outside the device via an opening in the housing, which opening can be closed with the aid of a first closure member, the delivery chamber being connected via a passage to the storage chamber, which passage can be closed with the aid of a second closure member, the first closure member being designed as a rolling door or rolling shutter, which can be moved from a first position for closing the opening to a second position for opening the opening.
