Abstract

Ein elektrischer Steckverbinder umfasst ein Gehäuse, das wenigstens eine Aufnahme für einen elektrischen Kontakt aufweist, eine Zweitverriegelungseinheit, die bezüglich des Gehäuses aus einer Vormontageposition, in der der elektrische Kontakt in die Aufnahme einsetzbar ist, in eine Endposition bewegbar ist, in der der Kontakt in der Aufnahme durch die Zweitverriegelung gesichert ist, und eine schieberartige Kopplungseinheit zur Unterstützung der Kopplung des elektrischen Steckverbinders mit einem elektrischen Gegensteckverbinder. Der Steckverbinder umfasst überdies zwischen dem Gehäuse und der schieberartigen Kopplungseinheit wirkende Sperrmittel, durch die die schieberartige Kopplungseinheit zumindest solange an einer kopplungsunterstützenden Bewegung relativ zum Gehäuse gehindert ist, wie die Zweitverriegelungseinheit ihre Vormontageposition einnimmt. Dabei sind die Sperrmittel vorzugsweise erst dann zur Freigabe der schieberartigen Kopplungseinheit deaktivierbar, wenn die Zweitverriegelungseinheit in den Bereich ihrer Endposition gelangt ist.
