Definitions

  • the invention relates to a rotary indexing table, which serves as part of a filling plant for filling containers with powdery materials.
  • the containers can be, for example, capsules which are filled with powdery medicaments.
  • the medicaments introduced in the capsule may be more or less powdery or coarse-grained. Regularly in each case a combination of different medicinal components will be present.
  • a capsule filling machine is known in which - based on the FIG. 2 - At 11 o'clock capsules can be successively entered from radially outside into blade-like folding arms.
  • the blade-like folding arms are pivotally mounted on a rotating drum. When turning the drum and thus also the folding arms the capsule tops remain in the respective folding arm, while the lower parts of the respective capsules are transported in the drum shell.
  • Rotary indexing tables have a rotary drive for clocked onward transport of the containers to be filled with powder, for example said capsules.
  • the capsules When closed, the capsules are placed in corresponding receptacles of the indexing table.
  • the upper part is then released from the lower part and the upper part and the lower part each holding recordings in the direction of rotation of the Table separated from each other by the recording is advanced with the lower part in the direction of rotation of the indexing table in contrast to the upper part holding receptacle. It can then be filled in the bottom part open from the top of the desired powder in one or more consecutive workstations. Subsequently, the upper part is advanced in contrast to the lower part in the direction of rotation of the rotary indexing table, so that it again assumes its position over the lower part.
  • the upper part is lowered in the direction of the lower part, thereby putting the two parts back into one another.
  • the capsule filled with powder is ejected from the area of the rotary indexing table and a new, empty capsule is fed to the rotary indexing table. It then follows the opening, filling and closing of the capsule in the same way.
  • the space required for the device-like devices for filling powder into the available lower parts is severely limited by the shots holding the shells laterally and above the lower part (s). The consequent structural difficulties are all the greater, the denser receptacles are arranged on the circumference of the rotary indexing table. This has an impact on the performance of corresponding bottling plants.
  • the present invention seeks to provide a rotary indexing table, with a technically and economically improved handling of capsules to be filled is possible.
  • the rotary indexing table is characterized, in particular, by the fact that the receptacles can be brought into a position with the upper part which, relative to the plane of rotation of the rotary indexing table, does not lie above the lower part and its receptacle associated with the relevant upper part.
  • the receptacles can be brought into a position with the upper part which, relative to the plane of rotation of the rotary indexing table, does not lie above the lower part and its receptacle associated with the relevant upper part.
  • the tops and bottoms of the containers to be filled in the rotational-resting phase of the rotary indexing table are adjusted relative to each other. This allows, for example, a single motor drive for the rotary indexing table and for adjusting the upper and lower parts, which favorably influences the design complexity of such a rotary indexing table.
  • the two receptacles holding the upper part and the lower part can move relative to one another along a first direction of movement and be designed to be adjustable in the opposite direction.
  • the upper and lower part which are inserted into one another, can be detached from one another.
  • the upper part and the lower part can be joined together or put together again.
  • the holding the upper part and the lower part recordings can also be adjusted along a second direction of movement and in the opposite direction to bring the already separated upper and lower parts in the desired position, in which - based on the plane of rotation - the upper part and its inclusion is not level above the base and its receptacle.
  • This second direction of movement and the opposite direction is preferably a pivoting movement with additional linear movement in the above-mentioned first direction of movement or in the opposite direction.
  • the adjustments in the above-mentioned first direction of movement and in the opposite direction can therefore also be provided in the mutually pivoted position of the upper part and lower part to allow the required for the upper part and its absorption reduction to the level of the lower part and its inclusion.
  • the upper part holding receptacle is moved accordingly and the lower part holding the receptacle is not moved, in each case relative to the rotary indexing table.
  • the two parts In the separate position of upper part and lower part, the two parts have a different radial position and / or a different angular position.
  • the particular type of different positions depends on where the one part, such as moved away from the base position of the other part, such as the upper part of the rotary indexing table to be; in the radial smaller or larger distance to the lower part or with the same radial distance in the direction of rotation of the rotary indexing table in front of or behind the lower part.
  • the respective position depends on the geometric arrangement of the lower and upper parts and their shots on the rotary indexing table and also on whether in the direction of circulation in front of or behind the relevant recordings space for positioning the corresponding counter-recording is available.
  • a rotary indexing table 10 is part of a filling system with which hard gelatin capsules can be filled with powder.
  • the rotary indexing table 10 has a motor drive, not shown in the drawing, by means of which it can be rotated about a central axis of rotation 12 cyclically in the direction of rotation 14.
  • a motor drive not shown in the drawing
  • three upper parts 22 and in the corresponding lower receptacles 20 three lower parts 24 of a hard gelatin capsule 26 can be stored.
  • Each empty, not yet filled with powder hard gelatin capsules 26 are in their respective mated state, as in Fig.
  • each upper part 22 is again attached to its lower part 24 and ejected the powder-filled and sealed hard gelatin capsules 26 from the rotary indexing table 10.
  • the upper receptacle 18 for three upper parts 22 in the present example has a shaft 30 whose shaft axis 32 is aligned parallel to the axis of rotation 12.
  • the radial distance 34 of the shaft 30 from the axis of rotation 12 is smaller than the radial distance 36 of the associated lower receptacle 20 for receiving according to the upper part 22 also three lower parts 24th
  • this has a cantilever 40 which projects at right angles from the shaft.
  • three sleeves 44 are provided, which are designed to receive corresponding three upper parts 22.
  • Each lower receptacle 20 has three bushings 50, which are arranged in their mutual geometric arrangement as the three sleeves 44 of the upper receptacle 18. In each of the three sockets 50, a lower part 24 can be kept plugged.
  • the shaft 30 can be moved upwards, in the direction 52 and downwards, in the direction 54, in each case parallel to the axis of rotation 12. A corresponding movement makes then the end portion 42 with the three sleeves 44 with.
  • the shaft 30 can also be pivoted about its shaft axis 32 in the clockwise direction 56 and in the counterclockwise direction 58. From these composite movements 10 empty capsules 26 can be opened in the various work stations of the rotary indexing table, filled with powder and closed again. This is done in the following way:
  • the upper receptacle 18 on the lower receptacle 20 so that the present in these parts 18, 20 three capsules 26 closed on the one hand in the three sleeves 44 and on the other hand held in the three sockets 50 each are present.
  • an upper receptacle 18 is displaced upward in the direction of movement 52.
  • the three upper parts 22, which are held in the upper receptacle 18, have been separated from their three lower parts 24; the parts 22, 24 have been pulled away from each other by the movement 52 of the shaft 30.
  • all stations of the rotary indexing table 10 are for better clarity, in the receptacles 18, 20 each einitzenden capsules 26 and their upper and lower parts not shown.
  • the upper receptacle 18 is in a position 18a in which it is not level above the level of the lower parts 20 of the lower receptacle.
  • the receptacle 18 arrives in its position 18a via the intermediate position 18b shown in the station 2.
  • the upper part is thus moved starting from the station 1 upwards in the direction 52, thereby reaching its position 18 b, which is exactly above the lower receptacle 20.
  • the receptacle 18b is pivoted clockwise 56 and moved in the direction 54 back down until the upper receptacle 18 next to the lower receptacle 20 has taken its level desired lowered position 18a.
  • the tops 22 are again placed in the stations 7 and 8 on the lower parts 24 and thereby the now filled with powder capsules 26 closed again.
  • the shaft 30 is moved in the direction of movement 52 upwards, then pivoted in the counterclockwise direction 58 via the lower receptacle 20 (station 8).
  • the upper receptacle 18 in the direction of movement 54 is moved down again (station 9).
  • the powder-filled capsule 26 is ejected, which is not shown in detail in the drawing.
  • the sleeves 44 and sockets 50 and thus the receptacles 18, 20 are cleaned in order subsequently to be able to accommodate three new empty capsules 26 fed to the rotary indexing table 10.
  • this group of three capsules 26 is then filled with powder in a comparable manner.
  • FIG. 2 the position of the receptacles 18 and 20 in the station 1 is shown schematically.
  • Each sleeve 44 of an upper receptacle 18 is seated in alignment with an existing under it socket 50 of one of these upper receptacles 18 associated lower receptacles 20. This is a with its upper part in the sleeve 44 and at the same time with its lower part in the socket 50 einitzende capsule, in this figure and not shown in the following figures, held by the receptacles 18 and 20.
  • FIG. 3 the station 2 is shown.
  • the shaft 30 By moving the shaft 30 up in the direction of movement 52, the sleeve 44 has moved upwardly away from the bushing 50.
  • the shaft 30 is pivoted in this station 2 in the clockwise direction 56 ( Fig. 4 ), so that the sleeve 44 is present at a radial smaller distance to the rotation axis 12 than the unchanged existing bushing 50 (FIG. Fig. 1 ).
  • FIG. 5 shows the shaft 30 also in the station 2 down, in the direction of movement 54, lowered so that the sleeve 54 can assume a position in which it is not above a predetermined by the socket 50, upper level 70.
  • the level 70 runs parallel to the plane of rotation 16 (FIG. Fig. 1 ).
  • Fig. 6 are an upper receptacle 18 and a lower receptacle 20 according to the in Fig. 1 shown stations 3, 4, 5, 6 shown. In these stations, powder (arrows 72) can be filled into the respective, in the sockets 50 einitzenden bases.
  • Fig. 7 the situation according to the work station 7 is shown.
  • the shaft 30 is moved backwards, upwardly in the direction of movement 52 and then swung back in the workstation 8 in the counterclockwise direction 58 until the sleeve 44 is again positioned above its associated socket 50. Then the shaft 30 is returned to its in Fig. 2 lowered starting position shown. Subsequently, the powder-filled sleeve from the two receptacles, ie ejected from the sleeve 44 and the socket 50. In a subsequent work station, for example, the station 9.1, the sleeves 44 and the bushes 50 are cleaned so that they are ready to receive three new, still closed and empty capsules 26 again.
  • the lower shots can be positioned very close to each other, denser than it is in the Fig. 1 is shown.
  • the three sockets or the three sleeves also more sockets and sleeves can be arranged in corresponding receptacles.
  • the three bushings and three sleeves each six bushes and six bushes can be provided in corresponding receptacles 20, 18. This allows a format change of the sockets and sleeves or their corresponding recordings are made very easy.
