Die Baueinheit 4 weist ein Gehäuse 5 auf, das aus zwei Formkörpern 6 und 7 zusammengesetzt ist. Jeder der Formkörper 6 und 7 bildet an seinem einen Ende einen Teil des Steckers 2 und an seinem anderen Ende einen Teil des Steckers 3 aus. Hier ist im Bereich des Steckers 3 ein überstehender Steckereinsatz 11 mit Kontaktstiften 12 wiedergegeben, der in Fig. 1 zu sehen ist, während Fig. 2 Kontaktstifte 18 des Steckers 2 zeigt. Der Steckereinsatz 11 ist als Bestandteil des Steckers 3 gegenüber einem von dem Gehäuse 5 gebildeten Bajonettring 13 verdrehbar gelagert, um die Steckeranordnung 1 durch eine Drehbewegung an einer 13-poligen Steckdose zu arretieren. Damit diese Arretierung nicht verloren geht, wird eine federbelastete Klappe der 13-poligen Steckdose auf einen Auflagesteg 10 aufgelegt, der sich benachbart dem Bajonettring 13 quer über das Gehäuse 5 erstreckt und von diesem absteht. Die Auflagefläche 17 des Auflagestegs 10 verläuft damit als schmales Band parallel zu der Schwenkachse der Klappe der 13-poligen Steckdose. Für die Arretierung der Steckeranordnung 1 an einer 7-poligen Steckdose ist in dem Gehäuse 5 eine Arretiernut 9 vorgesehen, in die deren Klappe eingreifen kann. Die Arretiernut 9 endet noch in dem Formkörper 7, d.h., sie erstreckt sich nicht bis in den Formkörper 6 hinein und auch nicht um volle 180° um die Längsachse des Gehäuses 5, um dieses nicht übermäßig zu schwächen. Der Auflagesteg 10 ist hier nicht an demselben Formkörper 7 wie die Arretiernut 9 vorgesehen, sondern an dem anderen Formkörper 6 und damit auf der gegenüberliegenden Seite der Baueinheit 4. Es ist aber auch möglich, die Arretiernut 9 und den Auflagesteg 10 gemeinsam entweder an dem Formkörper 6 oder dem Formkörper 7 zu verwirklichen. Eine Leitung, die mit der Steckeranordnung 1 im Bereich des Steckers 2 und/oder des Steckers 3 verbindbar ist, sodass die Steckeranordnung 1 wahlweise mit einer 7- oder einer 13-poligen Kfz-Steckdose genutzt werden kann, wird aus dem Gehäuse 5 an einem von zwei einander gegenüberliegenden Leitungsaustrittsstellen 8 herausgeführt. Wenn nur eine Leitung mit 7 Adern an die Steckeranordnung 1 dauerhaft angeschlossen werden soll, wird die Leitung durch die offene Durchbrechung der einen Leitungsaustrittsstelle 8 geführt und die Aderenden an 7 Schraubklemmen des Steckers 2 festgelegt. Wenn nur eine Leitung mit 13 Adern an die Steckeranordnung dauerhaft angeschlossen werden soll, wird die Leitung ebenfalls durch die offene Durchbrechung geführt und 7 Aderenden an 7 Schraubklemmen des Steckers 2 und 6 Aderenden an 6 Schraubklemmen des Steckers 3 kontaktierend festgelegt. Im Bereich jeder Leitungsaustrittsstelle 8 wird die betreffende Leitung durch die wechselseitige Beaufschlagung der Formkörper 6 und 7 festgeklemmt, um eine Zugsicherung zu realisieren. Es ist auch möglich, wie bereits angedeutet, an beiden einander gegenüberliegenden Leitungsaustrittsstellen 8 Leitungen aus dem Gehäuse 5 herauszuführen, um beispielsweise die Adern, welche zu allen links liegenden Blink-, Leucht- und Bremslichtern eines Anhängers führen, auf der einen und alle Adern, die zu allen auf der rechten Seite des Anhängers liegenden Blink-, Leucht und Bremslichtern führen, auf der anderen Seite der Steckeranordnung 1 herauszuführen. In montagebereitem Zustand können zweckmäßig mit unterschiedlich farbigen Ummantelungen ausgestattete Aderstücke an den 7 Crimpanschlüssen dauerhaft angecrimpt sein. Die Aderstücke besitzen eine Länge, die bis zu den Schraubkontakten des Steckers 2 reicht und die darüber hinaus die Verdrehung des Steckereinsatzes 11 relativ zum festgelegten Stecker 2 zulässt. Der Steckereinsatz 11 ist auf jeden Fall ein zum Gehäuse 5 bzw. den Formkörpern 6 und 7 separates Teil. Ein Steckereinsatz des Steckers 2 kann als separates Teil oder aber auch einstückig mit einem der beiden Formkörper 6 oder 7 ausgebildet sein. Der Stecker 2 weist immer 7 Schraubklemmen auf. Der Anschluss der Leitungen an die Steckeranordnung 1 kann aber auch im Bereich eines Steckers oder einer dazwischenliegenden zusätzlichen Anschlussstelle erfolgen. In jedem Fall ist der Anschluss jeder Leitung nach Trennen der beiden Formkörper 6 und 7, d.h. nach Öffnen des Gehäuses 5 der Steckeranordnung 1, leicht möglich. Die Länge 14 der neuen Steckeranordnung 1 ist erkennbar kürzer als die Länge von zwei herkömmlichen Steckern für eine 7-polige Kfz-Steckdose einerseits und eine 13-polige Kfz-Steckdose andererseits. In jedem Fall ist die Länge 14 aber viel kürzer als die Kombination eines Steckers an einem Leitungsende mit einem Adapter, um den Stecker an eine nicht unmittelbar passende Kfz-Steckdose anzupassen. Connector arrangement according to any of the claims 1 to 5, characterized in that one of the plugs (2) with its contact pins (18) is designed for being inserted into a 7-pole motor vehicle receptacle, and that the housing (5) of the unit (4) comprises a fixation grove (9) for engagement of a cover of the 7-pole motor vehicle receptacle.
  7. Connector arrangement according to any of the claims 1 to 6, characterized in that one of the plugs (3) with its connecting pins (12) is designed for being inserted into a 13-pole motor vehicle receptacle, and that the housing (5) of the unit (4) comprises a supporting web (10) for a cover of the 13-pole motor vehicle receptacle, the supporting web (10) extending perpendicular to the longitudinal extension of the unit (4).
  8. Connector arrangement according to at least one of the claims 1 to 7, characterized in that in the housing (5) of the unit (4) a plug insert (11) which is a part of the plug (3) assigned to the 13-pole motor vehicle receptacle is mounted in such a way that it can be rotated to a limited extent and is surrounded by a bayonet ring (13) of the plug (3).
  9. Connector arrangement according to at least one of the claims 1 to 8, characterized in that the plug (2) has 7 screw clips and the plug (3) has 6 screw clips and 7 crimped connections.
