Claims (7)
- Communication system on board a rail vehicle for transmitting information using beacons (1) arranged on the ground, characterised in that it comprises two transmission chains (2) each constituted by an antenna (21) associated with an amplifier/adapter box (22), the said transmission chains (2) being connected to the same evaluation module (3) ensuring the processing of captured or transmitted signals by one of the antennas (21) on passing the beacons (1), each amplifier/adapter box (22) being electrically supplied by the same supply unit (9) and comprising connecting wires (6) intended to be connected to an interface board (32) of the said evaluation module (3), and in that the system comprises switching means (41) enabling alternate connection of the interface board (32) of the evaluation module (3) to the connecting wires (6) of one or other of the transmission chains (2), the antenna (21) belonging to the transmission chain (2) whose connecting wires (6) are not connected to the interface board (32) by the switching means (41) being put into an inactive state.
- Communication system according to Claim 1, characterised in that the connecting wires (6) of the box (22) not connected to the interface board (32) of the evaluation module (3) are connected, via the switching means (41), to a termination board (42) having a structure equivalent to the said interface board (32) of the evaluation module (3).
- Communication system according to either one of Claims 1 and 2, characterised in that the two amplifier/adapter boxes (22) comprise supply lines (5) which are connected in parallel to a supply board (31) of the evaluation module (3), the said supply board (31) being supplied by the said supply unit (9).
- Communication system according to any one of Claims 1 to 3, characterised in that the said supply board (31) is dimensioned to supply energy to the two amplifier/adapter boxes (22) when one antenna (21) is active and the other antenna is inactive.
- Communication system according to any one of Claims 1 to 4, characterised in that the said switching means (41) are relays.
- Communication system according to either one of Claims 1 to 5, characterised in that the said switching means (41) connect one or other of the transmission chains (2) to the interface board (32) of the evaluation module depending on the direction of movement of the vehicle.
- Rail vehicle, characterised in that it comprises a communication system according to any one of Claims 1 to 6.
