Zum Trocknen von mit Lösungsmittel enthaltenden Druckfarben bedruckter Bogen werden bei Bogenoffsetdruckmaschinen meist IR-Trockner verwendet. Diese Trocknereinrichtungen sind zwischen den Druckwerken bzw. zwischen dem letzten Druckwerk und dem Ausleger angeordnet. Ein oder mehrere IR-Strahler sind dazu einer Bogenführungsbahn zugeordnet. Zusätzlich sind auch Heißluftdüsen vorgesehen. Zum Abführen der ausgetriebenen Lösungsmitteldämpfe ist der Trocknereinrichtung eine Abluftabsaugeinrichtung zugeordnet. Um zu hohe Temperaturen im Bereich der Bogenführung zu vermeiden, ist es ferner bekannt, die Bogenführungsbahn mit einer Kühleinrichtung auszustatten. Dazu strömt Kühlflüssigkeit durch Kanäle in der Bogenführungsbahn - die aufgenommene Wärme wird über einen Wärmetauscher abgegeben. Dadurch wird vermieden, dass Bedruckstoff in die Maschine einläuft, wenn der nachgeordnete Trockner nicht den vorgesehenen Betriebsbereich erreicht hat und die verdruckten Farben nicht vollständig austrocknen können.
