Abstract

A lower rate of wear of brake blocks and a speed limiter cable for a lift speed limiter brake apparatus and thus a longer service life can be achieved with a cable brake having brake blocks of different materials. In a preferred embodiment, one of the brake blocks is of aluminium-bronze and the other brake block is of nodular cast iron or soft cast iron. In further embodiments, one or both of the brake blocks may be formed of a ceramic-containing material.

Description

The invention relates to a cable brake on a speed limiter for lifts, wherein the cable brake has two brake shoes.

Such cable brakes are operated when exceeding an allowable speed of the speed limiter, so that a guided over a pulley of the speed limiter, firmly braked with an elevator car limiter rope braked and a safety gear is triggered, by means of which the elevator car is brought to a standstill.

With the German Patent 25 28 067 a speed limiter is known with a cable brake, which has a stationary and a movable brake shoe. The movable brake shoe is fastened to a bracket guided in a cable brake housing. Two standing under the action of a respective compression spring levers are hinged at one end to two bolts mounted in the bracket and the other end rotatably mounted on two axles mounted in the cable brake housing. The compression springs are each biased between two discs, wherein the one disc bears against a shoulder of the lever and the other disc on the axis, and provided in the levers slots enable a displacement of the lever and thus the movable brake shoe in the direction of action of the compression springs. On the bracket an actuating plate is provided, by means of which an actuating arm of the speed limiter can move the movable brake shoe from an open position to a braking position. The brake shoes consist in rope brakes of the type described above mostly either Alubronze (CuAl) or ductile iron (GGG). With brake shoes made of Alubronze a good braking effect is achieved. The heat released by the braking is dissipated quickly, but the wear is considerable with long braking distances. The brake shoes made of nodular cast iron have a less good braking effect. They are less worn, but can dissipate the brake heat worse. In addition, wear on the governor rope must be expected.

The invention has for its object to propose a rope brake according to the preamble, come in the above-mentioned disadvantages of the brake shoe material less effect.

This object is achieved by the invention specified in the independent claims 1 and 4.

In a preferred embodiment, the one brake shoe made of Alubronze and the other brake shoe made of ductile iron or gray cast iron.

Particularly powerful embodiments also have two brake shoes made of different materials, each one of the brake shoes consists of a ceramic-containing material.

In a further embodiment, both brake shoes consist of a ceramic-containing material.

The advantages achieved by the invention can be seen in the fact that the favorable properties of both materials can be exploited. When braking, especially through the brake shoe made of Alubronze, the heat from the governor rope led away, which has a positive effect on the rope wear. The brake shoe made of ductile iron ensures low wear. The advantages of further execution lie in the high wear resistance and heat resistance of the ceramic material.

In the following the invention will be explained in more detail using an exemplary embodiment in conjunction with the drawing.

In FIGS. 1 to 3, 1 designates a brake housing that consists of two side parts 2, 3 with bent flanges 2. 1, 3. 1. The side parts 2, 3 are connected to each other via a spacer 4 and a spacer tube 5. At the spacer 4 an immovable brake shoe 6 is fixed, which consists for example of ductile iron (GGG) or gray cast iron. An example of Alubronze (CuAl) existing movable brake shoe 7 is connected to a guided between the side parts 2,3 of the brake housing 1 guide part 8.

Two telescopic levers 9 each consist of a cylinder part 9.1 and a piston part 9.2. The cylinder parts 9.1 are hinged to two, mounted on the guide part 8 bolts 10, while the piston parts 9.2 are rotatably mounted on two arranged in the brake housing 1 axles 11. On the piston parts 9.2 compression springs 12 are arranged, which at the ends via washers 13 on the axes 11 and supported on the cylinder parts 9.1. Between a fortified on the guide member 8 Traverse 14 and arranged on the brake housing 1 angle 15 a tension spring 16 is stretched. The traverse 14 is supported on an actuator of a speed limiter, not shown, so that the components guided on the telescopic levers 9 - Traverse 14, guide member 8 and brake shoe 7 - are held in an upper position.
When exceeding the permissible speed of an elevator car said actuator is shifted so that it no longer supports the cross member 14, so that the guide member 8 falls with the movable brake shoe 7 down and the brake shoe 7 by the compression springs 12 against a between her and the immovable brake shoe 6 running governor rope 17 is pressed. As a result, the governor rope 17 is braked and triggered a safety gear.

It is also possible to use Alubronze (CuAl) for the immovable brake shoe 6 and nodular cast iron (GGG) or cast iron (GG) for the movable brake shoe 7.
Also, instead of the different metals or alloys for one or both brake shoes, a ceramic-containing material can be used.

It is within the scope of the invention to provide brake shoes of the same material with brake pads of different material, wherein preferably the aforementioned materials are used for the brake pads.
