Description

The invention relates to a hand cleaning device with a carrier and a coating applied thereto.

Such hand cleaning devices, which are used in particular for cleaning smooth surfaces, such as glass panes, are well known. They usually consist of a core element, which is designed as a sponge and serves as a carrier for the coating applied thereto. The cover consists of leather or textile. The core element is normally absorbent in the previously known cleaning devices, so that cleaning fluid can be absorbed and stored. Furthermore, embodiments are known in which the coating is interchangeable and fixable in different ways to the carrier.

Eine derartige Ausführungform is zum Beispiel aus der US 2 011 214 bekannt.Such an embodiment is known for example from US 2 011 214.

The main drawback with the prior art hand cleaners is that because of the use of a readily deformable sponge as the backing, sufficient pressure can not be applied to the surfaces to be cleaned. Especially with stubbornly adhering soiling, there is a need to press the cleaning fabric of the coating with great force against the surface to be cleaned, so that a sufficient cleaning effect is achieved. If a cleaning device of the known type pressed with greater force against the surface, so the core element deformed disadvantageously so strong that the coating rests with the entire available cleaning surface on the object to be cleaned. It is thus not possible to achieve the necessary to remove stubborn dirt high contact pressure.

A further disadvantage is that the prior art hand cleaning devices are not suitable to reliably remove soiling in hard to reach places, such as in edges or joints. The easily deformable core element in turn prevents the cleaning fabric with sufficient cleaning effect can reach into edges or narrow joints.

Based on this, the present invention has the object to provide a hand cleaning device which avoids the aforementioned problems and which is also easy to handle and can be produced at low cost.

This object is achieved on the basis of a hand cleaning device of the type mentioned above in that the carrier is designed as a flexible elastic flat sheet that is enclosed by the coating.

By using the flexible elastic flat sheet, the deformability of the carrier over the prior art hand cleaning devices is severely limited. By targeted deflections of the sheet can be controlled by the user on the surface to be cleaned resting cleaning surface of the coating. A particularly high pressure can be generated to remove stubborn dirt when the coating is pressed only with the narrow side in the region of the front edge of the carrier on the substrate to be cleaned. There is advantageously the possibility of adapting the bending stiffness of the carrier sheet to the desired intended use, for example by specifying the material thickness of the sheet in a suitable manner. Various commercially available plastics are suitable for use as carriers in the hand-cleaning device according to the invention.

The cleaning device according to the invention is particularly suitable for the removal of soiling in places which are difficult to access. The hand cleaning device can be guided by the user so that the narrow cleaning surface in the area of the front edge of the carrier sheet in edges or even narrow joints passes. Due to the stiffness of the flexurally elastic sheet sufficient forces can be exerted to remove stubbornly adhering dirt.

Advantageously, the coating of the hand cleaning device according to the invention on a one-sided insertion opening for the carrier. This makes it possible to replace the coating at any time. The cover forms a pocket into which the carrier sheet can be inserted.

For handling the hand cleaning device according to the invention, the carrier may comprise a grip element, it being particularly advantageous if the carrier with the grip element in the region of the insertion opening on the coating can be fixed. A particularly expedient and simple embodiment is obtained when the gripping element is designed as a longitudinally slotted clamping tube, which holds the coating on the carrier by the coating and the carrier are clamped one above the other in the slot of the clamping tube. In this way, the coating and the carrier sheet are non-positively fixed to each other, wherein it is only necessary to replace the coating to subtract the clamping tube in the axial direction, after which the carrier sheet is no longer connected to the coating. A particularly secure fixing of the coating to the carrier is obtained when the clamping tube additionally engages in a form-fitting manner with a hem attached to the coating in the region of the insertion opening. By positive engagement ensures that the coating can not be accidentally removed from the carrier, even if greater forces are exerted on the cleaning device during cleaning.

Alternatively, it is possible to provide fixation elements on the carrier, which engage in a form-fitting manner when the coating is pushed onto the carrier in undercuts provided in the receiving space of the coating. These fixing elements may be, for example, attached to the carrier resilient locking elements which hold in a splayed position of the carrier the coated on the carrier coating positively. For the production of the positive connection, it is only necessary to provide in the receiving space of the coating suitable undercuts, which cooperate with the locking elements. To replace the coating, the resilient locking elements are simply compressed by hand, so that the positive engagement with the undercuts of the coating is repealed and this can be easily removed. It is also advantageous that the locking elements hold in their locked position the coating in cooperation with the wearer. In particular, during cleaning is important that the coating is kept in its flat shape, resulting in an optimal utilization of the cleaning surface results. Due to the positive fixation ensures that the coating can not slip even with violent cleaning movements.

An advantageous development results in the hand cleaning device according to the invention in that the carrier is designed as a double-layered sheet, wherein the two layers are connected to each other at the edge of the sheet facing the insertion opening. Usually, the coating consists of two layers of a textile material sewn together. The result is a bag for the carrier sheet, which has at the edges where the textile layers are sewn together, in the interior of the bag protruding hems. Characterized in that the carrier is formed as a double-layered sheet, these seams can be clamped between the two layers of the carrier, so that the coating is fixed to the outer edges of the carrier sheet. As a result, the coating is securely fixed to the carrier and can not slip on the surface to be cleaned, even with strong shyness.

As a textile material is suitable for the coating of the hand cleaning device according to the invention in a special way a cleaning plush, since it is particularly absorbent and can store cleaning liquid.

The drawings show a coating 1, which consists of two layers of a cleaning fabric sewn together. The illustrated cover 1 has a rectangular shape and has at each of three edges a seam through which a protruding into the receiving space of the cover 1 2 seam is formed. The illustrated cover 1 forms a pocket with an upper insertion opening 3 for a flexible sheet formed as a flat sheet carrier 4. The carrier sheet 4 is double-layered, wherein the two layers are connected to each other at the upper edge of the sheet. By this V-shaped configuration of the carrier sheet 4, the projecting into the interior of the coating 1 seams 2 can be clamped both at the side edges and at the lower edge of the coating between the two layers of the carrier sheet 4. The hand cleaning device shown in Figures 1 and 2 has a handle element 5, with which the carrier 4 in the region of the insertion opening 3 on the cover 1 can be fixed. For this purpose, the grip element 5 is formed as a longitudinally slotted clamping tube which holds the coating 1 on the carrier 4, wherein the coating 1 and the carrier 4 are superimposed in the slot of the clamping tube 5 are clamped. To fix the coating 1 3 seams 6 are also attached to the support 4 in the region of the insertion opening, which are embraced by the clamping tube 5 form fit.
