Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé d'utilisation d'une unité de stockage de données externe comportant au moins une unité de calcul stationnaire pouvant être connectée à l'unité de stockage de données externe par l'intermédiaire d'un port de connexion et d'une liaison de données. Dans l'unité de calcul stationnaire, un programme d'exploitation contrôle en continu des ports de connexion possibles destinés à établir une liaison de données vers une unité de stockage de données externe, au sujet d'une liaison de données existante. Par ailleurs, ledit programme d'exploitation contrôle simultanément, dans le cas d'une liaison de données établie vers une unité de stockage de données externe par l'intermédiaire d'un port de connexion, si un impulseur relié à la liaison de données a produit une impulsion de tension sur l'unité de stockage de données externe. Après détection, le programme d'exploitation peut démarrer d'autres processus, notamment de synchronisation de données. L'impulseur destiné à produire une impulsion de tension sur l'unité de stockage de données externe se présente de préférence sous la forme d'un système de bouton-poussoir.
