Bei einer Ausgestaltung eines Wagenkastens gemäß der Erfindung wird das betreffende Teilseitenwandelelement nicht nur als Träger für ein Fenster ausgenutzt, sondern darüber hinaus dahingehend ergänzt, daß im Bereich des Fensters gleichzeitig ein Luftführungskanal vorgesehen wird, über den konditionierte Luft in das Innere des Wagenkastens gefördert werden kann. Dabei erstrecken sich Abschnitte dieses Luftführungskanals zumindest entlang der oberen waagerechten Kante und entlang der seitlichen vertikalen Kante der Fensteröffnung, wobei für diese Kanäle die Bauraumtiefe des Kastengerippenfeldes ausgenutzt werden kann. Über die vertikalen Abschnitte des Luftführungskanals kann Luft bis zu einem Ausblaskanal geführt werden, der vorzugsweise mit Abstand unterhalb der unterenwaagerechten Kante der Fensteröffnung und insbesondere in einer Höhe verläuft, die geringer ist als die Höhe der Sitzflächen der Fahrgastsitze. Der Ausblaskanal ist dabei in Höhenrichtung vorzugsweise zwischen zwei Halteelementen angeordnet, an welchen der jeweils den Teilseitenwandelement zugeordneten Sitz befestigt werden kann. Im Übrigen verlaufen die Abschnitte des Luftführungskanals eng benachbart entlang der Spanten und des oberen Langträgers, wobei die vertikalen Abschnitte des Luftführungskanals bis nahe an den Boden des Wagenkastens reichen und einen Abschluß bzw. eine Verkleidung der Spanten und des oberen Langträgers zum Inneren des Wagenkastens hin bilden. Für die Luftzufuhr ist insbesondere der obere Abschnitt des Führungskanals mit wenigstens einem, vorzugsweise zwei Luftzuführungsstutzen versehen. Diese Luftzuführungsstutzen sind mit einem parallel zum zugehörigen oberen Langträger verlaufenden Luftspeisekanal verbunden und werde daraus bedarfsweise mit durch Kühlung, Erwärmung und Befeuchtung konditionierter Luft gespeist , die über den Luftausblaskanal in das Innere des Wagenkastens strömt. Bei Zuführung von erwärmter Luft ergibt sich dabei der zusätzliche Vorteil, daß bei kühler Witterung im Bereich des Fensters durch die erwärmte Kanalwandung eine für den Fahrgast angenehme Wärmeabstrahlung auftritt. Ein Wagenkasten 1 eines Schienenfahrzeugs weist ein Kastengerippe auf, das aus zwei
oberen, parallel zueinander verlaufenden und über die Länge des Wagenkastens
reichenden Langträgern 2 und entsprechend ausgebildeten unteren Langträgern 3
aufgebaut ist. Die Langträger 2 und 3 die im Bereich von Längsseitenwänden durch im
Wesentlichen senkrechte Spanten 4 und jeweils die oberen und unteren Langträger 2
und 3 durch Querspriegel 5 verbunden. Zwischen jeweils zwei Spanten 4 und den

Im Bereich der Fensteröffnung 8 ist das Teilseitenwandelement 7 mit einem
Luftführungskanal ausgestattet, der die Fensteröffnung 8 auf der Innenseite des
Wagenkastens 1 zugewandten Seitenwand 10 erhaben ausgebildet ist und mit einem
horizontalen Abschnitt 11 parallel zu oberen waagerechten Kante der Fensteröffnung 8
verläuft, während seitliche vertikale Abschnitte 12 entlang der vertikalen Kanten der
Fensteröffnung 8 nach unten bis zum noch einzubringenden Boden des Wagenkastens
1 reichen. Unterhalb der unteren waagerechten Kante 13 der Fensteröffnung 8 befindet
sich wenigstens ein Luftausblaskanal 14 mit schräg nach unten gerichteten und in das
Innere des Wagenkastens 1 ausmündenden Ausblasöffnungen 15. Der Ausblaskanal 14
ist dabei zumindest mit einem, vorzugsweise mit beiden vertikalen Abschnitten 12 des
Luftführungskanals lufttechnisch verbunden und wird daraus gespeist. Der
Luftausblaskanal 14 verläuft horizontal, wobei mit Abstand darüber und darunter jeweils
ein Halteelement 16 vorgesehen ist, das zur Halterung von Ausstattungseinrichtungen,

fest und insbesondere einstückig mit den Teilseitenwandelementen 7 verbunden und
bilden so Versteifungselemente, so daß die Teilseitenwandelemente 7 im Falle eines
Unfalls als Versteifungselemente für das Kastengerippe dienen. Wird in den
Luftführungskanal erwärmte Luft eingeführt, wird zudem der Vorteil erreicht, daß die
Abschnitte 11 und 12 als Heizflächen zur Erhöhung der Wärmeabgabe dienen und eine
Erhöhung des Benutzungskomforts mit sich bringen. Um den Luftführungskanal mit
konditionierter Luft speisen zu lassen, ist insbesondere der obere Abschnitt 11 des
Luftführungskanals mit wenigstens einem, vorliegend mit zwei, Luftzuführungsstutzen
18 ausgesattet, die aus einem nicht dargestellten parallel zum zugehörigen oberen
Langträger 2 verlaufenden Luftspeisekanal mit konditionierter Luft versorgt werden

Innenverkleidungen (Ausstattungseinrichtungen 17) des Wagenkastenausbaus
mitangeformt. Dabei decken die äußeren Umfangsflächen insbesonder der senkrechten
Abschnitte 12 des Luftführungskanals die benachbarten Seitenflächen der Spanten 4
ab, so daß eine zusätzliche Verkleidung im Endausbau des Wagenkastens nicht

Claims (5)
