Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a method for operating a telecommunications network, or TK network for short, in which a network element at a network node of a TK network is controlled by a control computer.
  • the network element is, for example, a switching center for switching connections.
  • An application computer is connected to this control computer and, in addition to the operating system assigned to it, has at least one application program. With the help of the connection between the application computer and the control computer, the application program has access to the signaling system of the control computer and thus to the signaling system of the telecommunications network.
