In einem modernen Kokereibetrieb werden beim Ausheben der Koksofentüren entstehende Emissionen durch eine Absaughaube, die mit der Bedienungsmaschine längs des Horizontalkammerofens verfahrbar ist und oberhalb der Türaushebeeinrichtung positioniert wird, aufgefangen und mittels Rohrleitungen entweder koksseitigen Entstaubungssystemen oder Filteranlagen, die auf der Bedienungsmaschine installiert sind, zugeführt. Die Länge der Absaughaube beträgt ein Mehrfaches der Kammerbreite einer Ofenkammer, um die beim Türausheben auftretenden Emissionen aufzufangen. Infolge der großen Kammerhöhe eines modernen Horizontalkammerofens, die oft mehr als 6 m beträgt, und infolge unvermeidbarer Luftbewegungen vor den Ofentüren werden noch erhebliche Mengen der beim Türöffnen freigesetzten Emissionen, insbesondere aus den unteren Ofentürbereichen, nicht von der Absaughaube erfasst und gelangen in die Umgebung. Die beim Öffnen der Ofentür an der Frontseite des Horizontalkammerofens anliegenden Dichtungselemente begrenzen einen nach oben offenen Absaugraum, der in den Absaugbereich der Absaughaube einmündet. Dadurch werden die beim Öffnen der Ofentür auftretenden Emissionen kanalisiert und können mit verhältnismäßig kleinen Luftmengen der Absaughaube gezielt zugeführt werden. Im Ausführungsbeispiel sind die Kontaktflächen 6 an Ankerständern 7 ausgebildet.
