Definitions
- the invention relates to electrical feedthroughs on insulating components of a pressure vessel wall, in particular for housing pressure sensors and a method for their production.
- U.S. Patent 4,816,621 describes a gold-lead ceramic-metal feedthrough intended for implantable cardiac pacemakers or nerve stimulators but unsuitable for high pressure applications.
- DE 100 55 910 A1 describes a method for producing a ceramic-metal compound wherein an active solder component is applied to the ceramic and the metal to be bonded to the surface.
- a current flow through the transition point causes the desired connection.
- the invention has for its object to provide a method and an apparatus of the type mentioned, in which an increased pressure resistance is ensured and only a small drop in temperature increase occurs.
- insulating bodies of high-strength Al 2 O 3 ceramic which fulfills the abovementioned material properties, has a half cone angle of 2 ° to 4 ° and is fastened in the feed-through conductor with brazing solder.
- the required radial compressive stress can be achieved by shrinking by preheating a high-strength steel conical seat by 200 to 300 K from ambient temperature and placing the insulating body remaining at ambient temperature under slight pressure into the conical seat. After the temperature compensation of the insulating body is under radial compressive stress, which is reinforced due to the effect of the cone angle in concern of the working pressure. This results between the insulator and the conical recording a hermetic connection that holds high working pressures even at elevated temperatures. It is advantageous to provide the brazing material for fixing through conductors in the through holes of the ceramic insulator having a titanium content of 3-12% and using Al 2 O 3 ceramic having a glass phase of about 0.5%.
- An advantageous embodiment of the arrangement according to the invention arises from the fact that during soldering of feedthrough conductors, in particular of leadthrough wires with a diameter of at most 0.8 mm, the ceramic insulating body is provided with stepped through-holes, wherein the larger diameter of the through holes is arranged on the high pressure side, and the feedthrough wires have a reinforced central part, which central part rests after soldering on the step of the stepped through hole.
- feedthrough conductors which is particularly advantageous for feedthrough pins with a diameter of at least 1.0 mm, has through holes in conical through holes of the insulator, which have a half cone angle of 4 - 8 °.
- the cone angle opens to the high pressure side.
- the cone angle is equal to or 0.5 to 1 ° smaller than the cone angle of the through holes.
- the introduction of the feedthrough pins takes place in that the remaining at ambient temperature feedthrough pins are inserted into the conical through holes at a time at which the insulating body has not yet approximated the temperature of the conical recording but the ambient temperature.
- the hermetic connection of the ceramic insulating body with its inside and outside metal partners so the feedthrough pins or conical receiving, especially at ceramic insulators with uncut conical surfaces, the feedthrough pins at least on its central part and / or the Druckgefäßwandung at least in her conical receptacle provided with a ductile metallic coating.
- a galvanically applied copper layer of 5 - 20 .mu.m, which was homogenized by annealing at 950 - 1000 ° C, can be used.

- the receptacle 4 is shrunk after preheating to 300 ° C on the insulator 1. It could be proven experimentally that the implementation thus prepared has a pressure resistance of more than 4000 bar at a temperature of 400 ° C.
- Figure 2 illustrates various mounting options for the arrangement of the feedthrough conductor 2 in the conical insulator.
- a conical through hole 5 with a half cone angle of 5 ° is mounted in the conical insulator 1.
- the conical insulating body 1 is provided with a stepped through hole 9, in which a feedthrough pin 10 is inserted with reinforced central part 11.
- the through hole 9 is made with a diameter of 0.5 mm and provided with a paragraph of diameter 1.0 mm and a height of 1.5 mm.
- the feedthrough wires 10 have a diameter of 0.45 mm and are provided with a reinforced middle part 11 with a diameter of 0.8 mm and a height of 0.3 mm. They are soldered hard in the insulating body 1 with a copper silver solder, which has a 10% titanium content.

Description
JP 59 078 983 - In
